Today is my first time here, I am here to do the vehicle annual check. While the moment I went into the store, I see Charlie and his wife are extremely nice and friendly to not only me as a new customer also their old customers. The most important thing is Charlie is very professional and honest, he also shared some vehicle knowledge with me. Charlie cares his customers and he only tells truth to his customers, the service cost is also very fair. I highly recommend this place!!!!!

I have known Charlie and his wife for many years and they are always so friendly and kind to everyone! Last time my Honda Civic got different system alerts and I assure you that no mechanic would serve the same way Charlie does, he is so detail-oriented. He is the best mechanic ever! Very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I wouldn't let others to check my car. Whenever he gives my car back, I feel so secure and comfortable driving it on the freeway. Highly recommend Charlie!

I come here for everything even an oil change! He is honest and super willing to help you out whatever you need. Charlie is always here and his wife Amy they are a great team. His son even works here and is awesome too! He gives you options on what you want to do the labor is fair and he is always looking to help you understand the problem and will never rip you off. He is certified a master mechanic he has been working on cars for over 30 years! This is the only place I take my van, cars and truck - he is always busy because he is that good and affordable he asks if you want a less expensive option and if you want to use name brand parts or not. I even bring parts in and he will install them for me to save me money. He is absolutely like family been going to him for about 9 years now not just for my car but anyone that needs any work done I highly recommend! This is the place I go when I want it done right the first time and that is it. He lets me pay cash and if I don't have enough he says come back later and pay me.

I used to have my autos serviced at Charlie's neighbor, David Stroot of "Strooties". David was extremely honest and, unfortunately, is no longer with us. David always spoke very highly of Charlie as being very honest and likeable. I have been going to "Charlie Auto Service" since David's passing and am very impressed with his work and his honesty. Yes, "Charlie Auto Service" gets my top recommendation.

I have been having Charlie work on all my family vehicles (Chrysler, Ford, Toyota, Hyundai, VW) for almost 20 years. He is the best. Like everyone says, he is very skilled, very knowledgeable, and very honest. Fantastic mechanic! I've been searching for a reliable, honest, and skilled mechanic in the San Diego area for several years and finally discovered Charlie Auto Service. His technical knowledge is astounding, but even more importantly, he is a genuinely kind human being. He was flexible and accommodating with my schedule, and took the time to fully explain everything to me and answer any questions I had. It was very apparent that he wasn't out to just make money...he truly wants to do right by his customers and talks through what he believes is necessary and what's not. If you're looking for a mechanic that is fair, trustworthy, reasonably priced and incredibly good at what they do...then look no further. Without a doubt, the best mechanic you will find in San Diego. I've been searching for years for someone who is honest, reliable, trustworthy, and reasonably priced...Charlie delivers that and more! He and his wife are truly just kind human beings who clearly want to do right by all of their customers. He has an immense amount of automotive knowledge and technical skill. He is excellent at explaining everything in detail, and takes plenty of time to answer any questions you may have. He has never pressured me or tried to sell me anything unnecessary, he's very straightforward with all of his recommendations. My only regret is that I didn't discover him sooner.

Charlie and his wife are the best! I was looking for a Taiwanese owned auto shop (because I am from Taiwan, I want someone who speaks mandarin and preferably Taiwanese as well). A lot of people from our Taiwanese group chat recommended Charlie when I was doing my research. Charlie is honest, very upfront with the cost, and always reasonably priced. I have zero knowledge of vehicles. He's always patient with me on explaining why certain parts need to be replaced and why certain parts don't require replacing. They have been around a long time and they're definitely the kind of business that doesn't need advertising to showcase their quality of service. I hope more businesses can be like them.

Lokking for a good honest mechanic? Here he is. Excellent work at a reasonable price. Been a customer for 20 years. He alone kept my 96 Toyota alive for 300k miles.
