Brought my car here after being rear ended and can't recommend it enough! Everyone was so kind, the process was smooth and I genuinely think my car drives better now than it did before the accident. I also really appreciated the consistent communication (shoutout Dan) about the timeline of the repairs, which they did a great job of sticking to. Will definitely be returning for any future car needs.

Chapparone is still the best auto body shop in San Diego. Honest, no BS, high quality work. Their body work rivals OEM factory, if you have a Tesla then their work is even better than the factory. Thank you Fernando and rest of team!!!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I have to comment on the stellar service I received from Chapparone auto body shop! I own a 2023 Tesla model 3 and it was hit in a parking lot. I’ve owned many cars before and have had unfortunate incidences like this that needed repair. Based on my novice history of car repair, I thought that the damage would likely be some thing that could be repaired with PDR. However, I wasn’t certain, and I received the estimate from my insurance adjuster, which suggested the same, but had a low estimate. I took the car to two certified Tesla auto repair shops, and both of them gave outrageous estimates that included months of repair time including removal and replacement of OEM parts including side door panel, rear bumper, and even the backseats! After doing some research online, I found that there is an unfortunate large amount of cases where Teslas and other cars are getting work done that is unnecessary. After getting those estimates, I found Chapparone body shop and asked for an estimate. At this point, I wasn’t sure if I was going to get the same treatment and information as the other places. That’s when I spoke to Jake and met the team at Chapparone and was told by the Tesla certified mechanic that my car would look as good as new using PDR. The estimate came out to be a fraction of what I was quoted with the other shops which was amazing! I couldn’t be happier and thankfully the car is great and looks perfect. Thank you so much to the team at Chapparone and Jake for your honesty, professionalism, and - in general - all the Help! I can’t recommend this body shop enough, especially to Tesla owners. You won’t regret working with them!

We had an excellent experience with Chapparone from start to finish. The repairs came out good as new, and the staff were communicative with timelines and processes. Everyone we spoke to was nice and professional. Even with construction going on in part of their lot, the place felt like a well-oiled machine.

I had an outstanding experience with Chaperone. After months of back and forth and runaround from my insurance company and their willingness to pay for repair to my car at the dealership, I saw reviews and comments for Chaperone that made me decide to give them a chance to repair my vehicle. While other shops weee quoting 3+ weeks and a higher price, Chaperone could do it for a little less in one week. I took my car in and had it back in just over a week and it was like new! Their rep Jake was friendly and helpful and I was extremely satisfied! I highly recommend this shop. I hope I never need body repair again, but if I do I’ll take my car to Chaperone!

I had a disappointing experience at this auto body shop, particularly with Ricardo Martinez. Upon his suggestion, I purchased paint from the dealership to fix deep scratches on my right bumper. However, instead of properly sanding down and filling in the uneven spots, Ricardo simply applied the paint, resulting in a subpar outcome. It was evident that he attempted to deceive me into paying for an entire bumper replacement, despite my background in military, where I have basic knowledge of aircraft corrosion & paint treatment. His lack of integrity and professionalism is concerning, especially in an age where information is readily available. I eventually sought help elsewhere, where the issue was resolved efficiently in less than an hour, restoring my bumper to its original state. Proceed with caution when considering this body shop for your automotive needs!!!

Two stars only because the work seems solid, but there was no communication to me or my insurance at all. Took about 6 weeks just to replace a quarter panel when they pre-ordered the parts. Pushed the delivery date back multiple times by just not calling me on the day it was ready. I would have to call the next day and they would add another week or so. Due to this I'm having to deal with a $300 charge for the extra rental car days. Car was only half washed when I received it back. Worst was the 3' long crack in the windshield that occurred during the paint curing process. I did not know it happened until I picked it up at 5pm on a Friday. Do not reccomend this shop.Edit: Shop manager reached out and offered a full reimbursement for the rental car and partial reimbursement for the windshield. Rating updated accordingly.

Exceptional in every way. Did a phenomenal job to repair some minor damage to the rear bumper of my Tesla Model 3. Very fast, I had the car back in a matter of days. They also cleaned it thoroughly (inside & outside) so it is good as new. Basically went above & beyond. Highly recommend for Teslas!

Took my car here to get fixed after getting into an accident. I was in contact with the owner Mark, amazing customer service!!! They got my car finished faster than what was quoted. It was supposed to be a week and half job and was finished in 5 days. They were in contact with the rental car agency with updates for me. Detailed my car and left it looking brand new. 10/10 recommend this shop !!!!

Finally getting around to leaving the review that they earned back in 2018. Horrible repair work, had to bring my vehicle back after the shoddy job they did. When I went to pick up my 2018 Subaru WRX after it had been painted it was covered in swirl marks. They outsourced the work for the clear edge guards on the door and it was never completed properly, I was told to bring my vehicle back. I should have refused right then and there so that was on me, but still. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. It was a complete hack job and rushed at that. My window still doesn't roll up the same as new after they replaced my door. Nothing was done correctly, even after bringing the vehicle back for them to rectify the issues that should have been done right the first time... avoid at all costs. I could not be more dissatisfied and I will shame this place any chance I get. I hope they have since fired the individual who worked on my vehicle. A trained chimpanzee could have done a better job, and that is me being generous.
