My family resided in the same 3 story San Diego home for 24 years and had a very challenging/technical move that involved relocating a full shop with close to one ton of storage media/supplies, a large adventure motorcycle a large arms collection requiring a 12 page manifest and all of our domestics. I had never considered moving before as it was too nightmarish and incomprehensible to wrap my head around such a concept and the trepidation was off the charts. As fate would have it, we would be moving some 1,900 miles. I decided to take a calm approach and reach out to Mayflower/Bernardo Moving and Storage. We were put in contact with Mr. Kyle Aristizabal and from that point … everything went smooth as silk exceeding all expectations. My wife and I found ourselves not just liking but Loving our agent … immediately. He was 110% genuine with Zero Bullshit and he thoroughly knew his trade. He was very patient/accommodating as we moved the loading date a couple of times. Our move was made even more complicated by our location, a very limited access dead end street on a hillside requiring that a smaller van be dispatched to take multiple loads to fill a full sized, in our case dedicated van. This meant that everything was handled TWICE before the cross country move actually started and the load out was calculated at two days, and two full days it was. We crated about 1/3 of the load and made special boxes for another third followed by 50/50 Home Depot boxes and loose item handling. About 1,000 lbs. of steel and oak wood stock inventories were loaded into underside trailer compartments. Kyle did most of the weight and all of the volume estimation and the final shipping weight was within 500 lbs. (on the shy side) of the estimate !!! This was just amazing. We were told by the head moving team member, Richard Monroy that Kyle always nails his estimates … and … the movers themselves were awesome at both ends. I remember feeling utter panic when I heard the first sound of the approaching Diesel engine truck as we were not entirely ready for them. Nonetheless, Everything went far better than expected and the team did heed my handling admonitions. Of all the items moved, only one was damaged but was easily repairable. Some of the cargo included very fragile dinosaur bones, huge model ships and one item that had totally escaped my attention. I had a big box of 100+ year old chemists glassware (about 40 pieces) that I lost track of/did not package properly BUT not a single item arrived damaged. My exotic 660 lbs. motorcycle (hauled with the load) was delivered without a single scratch. We made immediate friends with several team members and we remain in touch with them. I cannot say enough good about them, they absolutely rock including their Move Coordinator Lisa Conway. I have been in domestic/international logistics for over 30 years and it takes a hell of lot to impress me, but impress me they did. My worst nightmare became serenity. Thank You Mayflower/Bernardo Moving and Storage !!!

Great company and honest with pricing and hours. Refunded me when the move took less time than they estimated. Also let me borrow some boxes which was terrific.

We had a lot of stairs, tight hallways and big furniture. They were all in, and worked hard making sure we were not stressed and happy with the results…and competitive pricing.

We did a military move with this company, they first went to the storage facility, rushing and broke a fishing rod and a part of something for brewing beer- Jeffrey was very defensive and rude about it, his attitude was very unprofessional and unpleasant, he also said he was the boss but when I called the company it was different story. Wouldn’t use them again.

Beware! Sales Rep will tell you they are based on an hourly rate and the estimate can be revised accordingly if the movers finish early. We busted our butts packing and staging...even moving much ourselves. The movers finished hours early, but no refund was given. Sales person also advised that we not pack drawers. Big mistake; drawers were damaged and contents landed in a jumbled mess. Lisa just doesn't call as promised or care. After you pay, don't expect any follow up or response. Moving guys are great, but the Company in charge is not.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. Raquel is probably THE MOST disrespectful, rude, and condescending person I’ve ever interacted with in a customer service environment. As soon as they lock you into a contract, they will treat you just the same because they know at that point, they already have your money, so you have to deal with however they treat you. The only reason this business is even surviving is because they offer cheap contracts with military moves but they treat those clients even worse.

Great communication, coordination and service. Paperwork was clear and easy. They showed up exactly on time and carefully loaded all our items (some quite heavy) for a move from San Diego to Montana. Delivery time was faster than expected. Highly recommend.

What an absolutely amazing job by all parties involved for our move. Lisa and Kyle kept us fully in the loop the entire time and checked to make sure we were happy every step of the way. The movers Josué, Taiu and Roman absolutely killed it. They were such nice people, made sure everything was in the right place and in order at our new home and not a single thing was damaged or dirty when they were finished. Michele was professional and friendly and gave me a very fair quote which I accepted. Lisa was terrific coordinating and communicating the entire move at every step. The two movers, Ti-U and Noah, were outstanding, careful and professional in their work ethic, helpful friendly attitudes and even had a great sense of humor. My move came during a very difficult time in my life. Lisa Conway and Michele Finkelstein were incredibly supportive and took charge of my move. My belongings were in their storage facility for eleven months. When I was ready to move into my new home Lisa and Michele cheered for me and shared my happiness! They are a great team to work with. For both moves the men who handled my worldly goods were professional and respectful. I highly recommend this stellar company. In complete honesty, I don’t have a single negative thing to say. Thank you all so very much for making a positive impact on my life. You removed the stress from a normally highly stressful situation.

We had a terrible experience moving with Bernardo Moving. Several attempts to get them to move a refrigerator into our home that I needed to disassemble myself for them to even attempt. Then they showed up late and left without even trying. Always fun to move into your new home without having a working refrigerator!! David Price came out to the house and said he would give us a discount for the hassle (after we requested it) and of course that never happened. So basically this company cost us a new refrigerator. During the move they also packed some of our stuff for us that was broken upon opening the boxes. We’ve moved 5 times over the past 20 or so years and this by far was our worst experience with a moving company.
