If I could rate a ZERO I would! My minor daughters (3 of them) and their father were shopping at this place of business yesterday and were treated so rudely and with such discrimination by the young Hispanic woman who works there!! She literally snatched the crystal bracelets out of my daughter's hand while she was looking around shopping, and told her " you can leave now". She was completely presumptuous and making the HUGE assumption that my daughters were STEALING just because my daughter was wearing different types of bracelets on both of her wrists that resembled what they carried in that shop. This is NOT ok!!! Their so called footage showed absolutely nothing that proved she was able to assume that my daughters were stealing. They lost business that day and hopefully people who read this review will think twice about shopping at this business. This woman needs a lesson in proper business etiquette because no where would someone want to shop in a place where they are discriminated against. She racially profiled against my daughters and I'm going to see to it that I file a formal complaint to have this woman removed from this business. The Bay Company, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves!!!! Smh

Was told any purchase no matter the price would validate the parking ticket. LIARS! We still had to pay full fare after their "validation".

I went here with my partner while walking around seaport village, and they were racially profiled by an older lady that works here. We were followed around the store and stared at as she pretended to stock shelves and she was always within a few feet of us wherever we went in the store. I do not recommend giving this place business

I wanted to bring my partner to Seaport Village because they enjoy doing touristy things and I decided to take them here because I went years ago with friends and remembered they had cute stuff. I wish I never went. Like a previous customer who had a similar experience, an older woman who works there with brown hair was racially profiling me and followed me around the ENTIRE store. I had no intent of stealing and I personally already hate when I can't take my time by myself in a store. I would look at hats, she would be two feet away looking at me. I went to look for hats in a different section with my partner, she follows us the entire time and pretends to look in a closet for two seconds before continuing to look at us. She did not follow or help anyone in the store, she was solely focused on us. She would go back and forth from a cart with MUGS to the sweater display pretending to restock. When I was in checkout I looked around the store and saw I was the darkest person there and I just got a sick feeling in my stomach. If I was not welcome, I wish she would have just not let me in rather than make me uncomfortable for half an hour while I was trying to browse with my partner. I had the intent of buying more things but her behavior was just so rude and made me so uncomfortable. If you have a darker complexion I don't recommend that you come in, the lady is shameless and will uncomfortably follow you. I bought a hat from here but I will never come back.

If I could give a zero... I would. I was visiting San Diego from Seattle with my toddler. Whew, what a hectic trip but I survived! It was our first time flying anywhere and our first solo trip. I'm a new mom, and I was expecting when I booked this trip, I wanted to have alone time with my baby for the new baby. I lost the pregnancy but couldn't cancel my trip so went anyways. I enjoyed Seaport Village very much and my entire trip was great except coming to this store TRAUMATIZED me. I was looking around the store, finding gifts for myself and family. I was so busy on the phone with my cousin, I didn't notice the older lady following me at first. But when I did, I asked her if she was following me, and she said "yes I can do what I want it shouldn't be a problem if you're not doing anything." I walked away and she proceeded to follow me around the ENTIRE store. This is not a small shop! I was so upset! How dare she profile me! I'm a law student, I have an amazing job, and I keep myself together. She never once asked if I needed help or anything. Just straight up followed me. And not the stay a few feet away follow, she was literally RIGHT behind my back. I hate that she thought was ok, and I told her... she was being racist, she should've asked if I needed help, and most importantly she (her behavior) was disgusting! That was the most disgusting experience I've have had shopping in recent years although it comes with the territory of being a Black person. Just sucks it had to happen on THIS trip, with my baby present and I feel bad for the lady who thinks she can be so blatantly racist, and the other customers who have to experience it as well. For the rest of the trip, I felt the need to announce my presence and every move in each shop I went into for fear someone else would accuse me of stealing and it's just sad and unfair. Rarely does anyone know or care about the effect of racial micro aggressions. That lady needs to be fired honestly and I hope she is NOT the owner.
