Have a B of A visa credit card for Alaska Airlines. What a crap show, after a year B of A sill has false information and math errors on their bankofamerica.com website when logging into my account detail for the credit card. Made an electronic payment from my B of A account which was debited on 1.10.24. Today 48 hours later getting emails stating payment due and the the payment I made not showing and upon logging into website asks me to make a 2nd payment as if the 1st one never happened. Well this has happened many times in the last year. If I call B of A they will say please disregard the email and errors on their own website. Get it right after a year, is that too much to ask?

Jorge Valenzuela (market manager of this Bank of America and other neighboring branches) is incompetent at his job and unfit to be the leader here. Bring back the lady before him who knew how to manage a market correctly. Jorge discriminates against anybody working under him that does not speak Spanish. In other words, if you don't speak Spanish, Jorge won't promote you. In addition, he only promotes you if you are constantly kissing his butt. If Jorge feels like anybody in a lower position than him is more well off than him financially, he will treat them badly. I have witnessed the way he poorly treats his employees firsthand. Jorge has attempted to get licenses for years now to try and enter a new role on the investment side of Bank of America but has failed and fallen flat on his face every time. It's pretty obvious he's unintelligent because I've seen people more unintelligent than him get the role he's looking to get. He's not cut out to do anything else and is lucky to still even be in the role he's in. I've been told Jorge strictly relies on the sales performance of the employees at his Encinitas branch to put food on his table and get the promotion he'll never get when he gives his other branches like this one absolutely zero management attention. Many of you customers who have visited his Encinitas financial center since the Covid-19 pandemic started might have noticed that branch had been shut down numerous times. When you asked any bank employee there what happened, the response you might've gotten was the branch closed down to do a deep cleaning. Put the pieces together. Why does anything close down nowadays? Basically, when that branch was closed down there were bank employees who tested positive for the coronavirus and Jorge wanted to hide it from the public. The Encinitas branch was closed down at least 3 times in the past year so what does that mean? At least 3 employees there contracted Covid-19 at least three separate times and Jorge was still hiding it. Jorge sent the order down each time to those reporting to him to ensure word did not get out regarding why that bank was closed. Jorge did not feel it was important to take action and send out phone calls/emails letting customers who visited that center know that an infection had occurred and they might have been exposed. In fact, the first time his Encinitas branch was closed down Jorge knew of the infection and still had the branch remain open on the Monday following the weekend Jorge was made aware of this. Crazy right? That's 8 hours of potential infections to the customers. Imagine having this piece of information kept from you, and you just went home to your high risk family members. Imagine how you would feel if you contracted the virus at Bank of America, infected those around you, and someone you loved potentially lost their life. If you don't see a problem with how Jorge Valenzuela operates as a manager during this pandemic, then there's a problem here too. Oh and I'll throw in another piece of information before I conclude this review. The La Costa Bank of America by the equinox gym which Jorge also manages has had its fair share of Covid infections that have also been kept from customers. On top of that, back when the La Costa branch was open on Saturdays, the manager of that location asked for multiple consecutive Saturdays off with approval from Jorge, so Jorge chose not to even open that branch on those Saturdays. That left Encinitas as the only open branch in that area. So if you ever wondered why Encinitas was the only branch open certain Saturdays when you were trying to do banking near there, you can thank Jorge Valenzuela for letting his La Costa branch employees enjoy some good weekends which sent all customers to the Encinitas branch. Bank of America needs to remove bad market managers starting with Jorge Valenzuela.

Horrible horrible horrible service EVERY time I came here. Wanted a simple wire transfer and they said that there is a 12:30 appointment they were waiting on (it was 12:25 when I arrived). I said it will be a simple wire and if they come in you can tend to them. Nope! Now it's 12:40 and they are a no-show but still they are waiting for their 12:30! They say we gl have to give them :15 minutes!!!We could have been done by now!!!

I'm not a fan of this bank as I've 'meh' experience at almost all locations. I was helping out making some deposits and found this location in Torrey Hills. This is a nice stand alone building with a drive up ATM. The building is large and spacious with lots of parking. There are also two atm's inside. I was surprised that no customers were there during my visit. It was nice and quiet with one teller working. Teller was fine. She processed the transactions relatively quickly so I was glad. I asked if it's always this quiet and she said no, that it gets packed. So perhaps I was lucky during my visit.

The short hair lady who at the front desk was really terrible. She was very slow. When I needed to deposit checks, I filled out the form with information included the address on it. She stared at my address and asked me if I lived around here. I said yes. She said she hadn't seen me before. I would say you should focus on the job rather than my address and what kind of company I am. The service was slow. She said the system was slow. Ask her some questions about online banking, no response to solve my problems. Speechless, if it were not for buy the Japanese restaurant next door, I would not come to the bank. Waste time.

They never pick up phone calls. Even though when you go to the branch there are at least 2 associates who are free to help. This branch is not a busy at all yet they never answer phone calls.

The branch is always quiet and the security guard is very friendly. They have a person in the lobby greeting everyone which I think is wired and not necessary. Everytime I went to see the cashier had to answer a series of questions from this person first. I know what I'm doing and I will ask for help if I need. It's kind of annoying having to get past her every time before getting to a cashier.

I have been using BoA for many years without much problem until recently they froze all my account without notice ending up many of my automatic payment from the account was stopped without notice, resulting in the payees such as credit cards, water supplier, electricity, HOAs, mortgage, etc not receiving payment on time, they either charged a fee for returned payment, or shutdown the service, or need re-setup auto-payment, and could have affected my credit score. I did receive a mail claimed to be from BoA compliance department asking me to call back to determine an investment account that was to be terminated. I thought it was one of mutual fund that was going to be terminated and need transfer to another mutual fund. Also I was not sure if the mail was fraud, I called back the number on the mail anyway, the other side first asked me lot of personal information which I didn't feel well to answer over the phone and told them I would go to a branch to call them. The next week I went to this branch and a clerk helped me to call that number and I gave them all information they asked, but they told me all my account had already been frozen and could be active again within 72 hours. I asked since when they started freeze the account and got no answer. Two days later the account became normal but after that I kept receiving bad news: my water was shut off because of rejected debit and need pay $30 to recover...one of my credit card charged interest and a fine because of rejected debit...my mortgage company sent mails about delinquent account asking reset the auto-payment method...my automatic HOA fee payment was rejected and need pay a fine and re-setup automatic payment...anyway, a hell of consequences.....I hate this bank :(

Christine had the worst customer service I have ever experience with the Bank of America brand. Her language barrier made the simplest communication a challenge.

Very helpful and convenient! Nice inside, helpful tellers. There is a security guard out front during business hours and he's super nice and friendly. My biggest complaint is the drive-up teller, the distance between your car window and the screen makes it nearly impossible to reach, most of the time I have to open my door and lean out of the car to reach the controls.

The worst branch I have tried to do business with ever. Nobody knows how to do anything, 1 hour wasted to get checks replaced No follow up and just a small staff including "relationship manager who has business cards that dont even have his phone number so you cant check back on anything. This is very vague but I encourage you to stay clear of this branch and save yourself aggravation!
