I visited the complex about 2 weeks prior. The apartment unit was not ready yet, so I was given the date when showing would be possible. Since I am not local, I was given the option to receive pictures of the unit when it becomes available. Spoke to a guy yesterday to request pictures of the unit but he pushed me to send an application (with a fee) and then someone from leasing office will reach out to me. When I asked why would I apply for an apartment unit that I have not seen yet, the representative was dismissive and unprofessional as if I was wasting his time.

I highly recommend living at Ariel if you’re looking for a luxury apartment rental in the little italy area of downtown. The location is spectacular, as are the ocean views and new finishes in the units. The inside of the building and common areas are always very clean as well. Ivan and Isaiah were very helpful and professional with my wife and I throughout the leasing and move in process. Also Roberto in maintenance has been quick to address any concerns that we may have after move in, in order to be certain that our unit is perfect and up to our standards. Excellent staff, location, views and amenities, look no further!

My parents was looking for apartments here. They were booking an appointment to see the place. The blonde lady in the desk didn't let my mom talk and said, "NO VACANCY!" Prejudiced and judged my parents immediately. Just because they were just wearing jeans and a jogging shoes. Already assumed they have no money. I was looking for luxury apartments too and would not even consider coming here at all. Happened September of 2023.

Isaiah is extremely professional, kind, responsive, and overall brings an amazing energy to the Ariel staff. He is always able to assist me and my roommate with questions and maintenance requests. It is clear that he really cares about the residents and takes his duties seriously. He remembers new residents he’s worked with by name and makes a point to greet them and say hello. He made our move to the Ariel smooth and enjoyable. Thank you Isaiah!!!

Roberto on the maintenance team was extremely effective and was able to fix issues in my apartment quickly and correctly. I put in a work order to get a light fixed and he was here the same day. He was extremely professional and great to talk to.

Isaiah is the ‘leasing agent’ at the
complex and has been anything but professional on both occasions that I have spoken to him. I have been asking to see some videos/pictures of potential units available for March and his words were that if he gets around to it he could
potentially send me an email. I think the reason Ariel has so many units available is because Isaiah isn’t doing his job as a leasing agent- he’s lazy, unprofessional, rude, and clearly isn’t taking the company he’s working for seriously. However, I actually don’t except anything more from an employee that has bare minimum skills at professionalism, communication, and competency skills.

Went to tour units here today and Isaiah, the leasing agent, was very helpful. He was very patient and knowledgeable about the property and the units. Highly recommend him. The property is very nice, with easy access to Little Italy's greatest amenities, and offers some of the best views in the area. The property is well-maintained and the residents seem friendly and clean.

When you tour this place, ask to tour the parking garage. It is a perfect representation of what you’ll experience from the management team. I can give a handful of experiences but I’ll leave it at good luck moving out, good luck getting repairs, and good luck with the bike lockers. My advice, pay the extra $300 and move somewhere else.

Ariel staff borders on criminal incompetence and malicious intent. Expect them to fail at every turn - incapable of replying to any communication, failure to submit documents and riddled with errors of their own making. Will make every effort to weasel out of any agreement, and overcharge whenever possible. I’ve lived in this building for years and am stunned by the blatant lack of humanity and compassion.

My husband and I were looking for a unit at Ariel and we had the best experience with Janina! Janina was so kind and responsive in all of our correspondences. She even offered to go and take a video of the unit for us, which was just above and beyond. Thank you, Janina, for all of your help! We're so very grateful!!

Janina and Sarah were really nice and helpful and they have made my moving experience great. They have patiently worked with me to make sure that I get what I want and when I want it.The view of the building is one of the best in San Diego rental apartments while the price is not crazy high like similar ones.Cons:The Pool and Gym area are not that great compared to the similar properties in that area (specially the gym).The maintenance guys are nice but takes a while to complete the work order (specially if you talk to Johnny).

My experience has been great with the entire team especially Janina who I met at the sister property when I first moved to San Diego last year. She’s always been so helpful and has went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and happy!Janina is now working across the way at Ariel Luxury apartments and has carried her same warm energy and professionalism across the street!If you’re looking for a place to live and someone to speak to when you’re there I definitely recommended Janina who is first class!

David, Janina, and Sarah are a dream team! Always smiling, ever professional, and attentive to all needs. They were able to answer any and all questions that I had in terms of leasing, and Ariel seems to be a highly sought after location, as the view from the Deck level is beautiful! Well worth the wait! Concierge and leasing office, great. The reason for the 1 star is the shared space amenities (e.g., hot tub, pool, etc.) have been broken/under construction for a year. It’s kinda odd, like there hasn’t seemed to be any progress made. They will fix the hot tub then it will break a day later and be broken for weeks. Random red tape and a pile of dirt surround the pool, kinda kills the vibe. In addition, there is this weird loud beeping noise in the garage that’s been going on for months, and no one seems to care to fix it. Good place for being around friendly tenants/staff and location is unbeatable, but there seems to always be multiple things defunct…
