Went here for a smog check to complete my car registration. The guy took my car right away and was done in 12-15 minutes. Let me know that it passed, the info would be sent electronically to the DMV, and gave me a certificate/receipt for my records. Quick and easy! $70 for a SUV

The owner/manager was very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. Very trustworthy. I didn't have to make an appointment and they were able to do the smog check quickly. He was kind enough to warn me about people stealing catalytic converters so he advised me to select public parking carefully. Thank you, Downtown Smog Check and Repair! This was my 3rd time and I will bring my business back. Highly recommended!!

I Called Up Oscar The The Head Tech Mechanic To Set Up An Oil Change Very Courteous And Professional I Also Asked If He Could Check My Battery He Said No Problem He Called Me Up And Let Me Know I Would Need A Battery So I Said Go Right Ahead He Said Come And Pick Up Your Vehicle Up In 30 Minutes I Said Ok When I Went To Pay For The Service On My Suv Oscar Explained Everything They Did And Checked The Brakes And Everything Under The Hood Wow I Was Floored By The Extra Checking Of My Suv No Extra Charge A True Place To Have Your Car Truck Etc Worked On Wpw Amazing Also This Will Be My 3rd Time I Will Take My Suv To Get A Smog In April Oscar And Crew Are Amazing. ?????

My Jeep was not starting correctly so I decided to take my vehicle to this shop and ask for their opinion. In my head and from what I have learned if it is not the battery then the issue maybe much worst such as the starter or the alternator. When I spoke to them on the phone and in person they were very friendly and in no way rushing to get me off of the phone. They understood my situation and gave me advice of a bad battery but also bad terminals that would cause the Jeep to not start even with the smallest gap due to the terminals being expanded and not able to tighten like they used to. I thanked them left to buy a new battery from AAA and a month after install the car had issues starting. Since it was a weekend, I had to wait until Monday to call but they answered and were able to get me into the shop right away. I took the Jeep in to have the terminals replaced and no issues since. The thing that stood out the most about this shop is their transparency and them not looking to make a quick buck. There are way too many mechanics out there for one reason or another that do not give proper diagnostics. I feel trust worthy to say the least is the best thing a mechanic can offer. I recommend 5 out of 5 to visit them if you are if you are in the San Diego area and need any automobile service. There are plenty of areas to grab food, coffee, and sightsee.

Oscar diagnosed my check engine light and completed repairs before smogging my hybrid car without first making me pay for a failed test. He also completed everything at a fraction of the time/cost of the Honda dealerships and with kindness, integrity, and a smile. I'll never go to a dealership again. Oscar's the man!
