The vets are highly experienced and the staff is very helpful and efficient. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my animals to this clinic and I’ve been coming here for over 20 years!

After 1 year of treatment, multiple tests, numerous visits ,various medications, from shots, to creams, to pills and wipes, and thousands of dollars ($2600+ to be exact) there was still no successful outcome of resolution for my cat’s incessant over grooming. My cat’s unresolved issue continued to persist and sadly endured until she passed. I was beside myself that even with the help of these so called “specialists/professionals”, I could not help her from her (over grooming) misery. And all Animal Dermatology could offer me was “let’s do more tests” or “it’s springtime and difficult for the medication to fully work in these conditions”. Fast forward to my brand new kitten, who after a month of having, started to display the exact same symptoms of relentless licking and biting. As an average human, not a Dr of animal dermatology, I figured out the common denominator, it was the cat litter! The brand that’s sold at Costco, Scoop Away, is so fine and filled with chemicals and perfumes that it apparently settles into the cats fur and causes allergic reactions; so sad and tragic and I would think a simple suggestion to offer up from these so called “specialists” as an option and/or solution. Not once, did any of the Dr’s (and I saw 3) ever suggested trying another cat litter. They suggested changing food, but never was cat litter even mentioned. I am livid with this organization, a business that is supposed to be in the field of helping animals and all that it appears to me, is they are in the business of making money!
I called them recently, after figuring out this discovery to ask why such a simple option was never suggested as a viable alternative/solution, but not much care and compassion coming from their Practice Manager, Beth.
Save your money before using this establishment as healthcare for your cats, especially if they are over grooming and excessively cleaning themselves, try a dust free litter…you’ll be glad you did, you're welcome.

It is challenging to secure an appointment because the small amount of small animal veterinary dermatologists in San Diego county are extremely overwhelmed by need. But the assessment and treatment in this practice is excellent and I am very pleased and hopeful about the treatment my dog will receive. So far, so very good!

I brought my cat in after another friend told me about this Vet. It's only been a day of treatment and my cat is definitely feeling better. The Doctor and the entire staff are welcoming, warm and caring. And for the specialty care it's wasn't as expensive as you'd think and they're very upfront about the costs so you can stay within a budget.

ADC has provided excellent care provided to our dog with allergy issues, Dr. Boord is very thorough and focused on comprehensive care to understand "big picture" issues. Appreciate the care and attention to our pup, and all staff are always friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

When you have an appointment they will make you wait over an hour. But don’t even be 5 mins late to an appointment they will cancel your appointment and take the next one early. Absolutely absurd. I asked if I could wait even if it took hours. NOPE. Clearly they don’t care about animals but solely the money $$$
The prices can get a bit ridiculous since they know it’s your only option. Pay it or suffer basically.

While we know having a French bulldog can be tricky when it comes to allergies, the only positive (and why I am giving 2 stars) we experienced with this spot was finding out the specific allergens our girl is allergic to and the severity of each one. They created an injection that worked the first two weeks, but the steroid she was out on gave her one UTI after another. They changed the steroid to a super expensive med that did absolutely nothing. Turns out the steroid was the trick, not the injection they created. Unfortunately we couldn't give that to our girl and she remained miserable week after week. The dr just kept doing scrape tests, and medicine changes that cost way more just to be unsure if anything would work. Nothing seemed to work, and we were tired of driving all the way to Kearny Mesa to have this be a constant trial and error experience, not to mention the ridiculous cost. We wasted thousands of dollars coming here.

Dr. Parnell did a superb job in a quick diagnosis to get Snowee feeling comfortable, she isn't scratching as much. We are still waiting on skin culture results. Amanda is an exceptional Vet Technician, who was able to answer my questions that I had forgot to ask Dr. Parnell. Appointment was scheduled a few months after I had called, but it was well worth the wait to receive a very detailed diagnosis from Dr. Parnell. Thank you ;)

I am really impressed with the services and staff here. After months of dealing with an issue, it was diagnosed and taken care of within a week and two visits. I felt the staff genuinely cared for my dog, too. Highly recommend.

Found a great dermatology office for my Maltese mix. The doctor confirmed a diagnosis that was given to me last year. Such a relief. She gave me several options to remove benign growths and a precancerous growth she found I definitely would recommend this office!!

Dr. Blessing was great, her tech too, I’m so sorry I forgot his name, red hair, tall, very gentle and sweet to my baby girl Josie. They both showed genuine concern, kindness, and compassion to Josie and I. They were very honest and upfront with their findings and concerns. Would highly recommend this clinic and these pet healers. Very worth the drive from Oceanside!

Can't say enough good things about this group. Both Dr. Blessing and Dr. Boord are exceptional. Elected to go the route of CO2 laser removal of a mass on my dog's pinna performed by Dr. Boord as an alternate to traditional surgery. My experience has been nothing less than great and the entire office staff is great as well. The worst thing I can say, is that the wait for the first appointment was longer than others, but let me say, it's definitely worth it! Couldn't recommend more.
