This location is open-'not closed like Yelp currently shows it to be. I love this spot bc gas is always reasonable + they have cheap junk food, standard coffee & cold drinks - which makes stopping here worthwhile.. I haven't had a single negative encounter w/ any of the staff here. It tends to be the same few ppl working here + they're just average chill ppl. None of the staff go "above + beyond" as far as their customer service but I'm pretty easy going so that doesn't bother me. You could say Im a regular... Only docked this location one star bc they are never ever open 24 hours. They close early here- like 9pm or 10pm. There's no telling if they will be open @ night + that's only annoying because they post a fake sign on the door that says "Closed for Cleaning".

This owner and staff are the worst! Absolutely awful. Rudest most disrespectful attitude ever. Hope it is worth losing $100 per tank 6 times a month!! The nerve to tell a customer they can leave if they don’t like it - wow!

The cashier is a complete j*** and has zero clue what customer service is actually. I hope this place goes out of business. The guy actually yelled at me and told me to leave for asking about debit cards not working. This location is terrible!!

Watched the owner and his wife verbally abuse a patron. The owner and his wife were very condescending and violent toward the patron. I watched as the customer left and he actually called the police based on their interaction. It was scary. I live nearby and I will never go here again based on this experience. I gave a report to the police when they arrived based on being a witness. It was scary and not something I would expect on the border of PB & La Jolla.

There is one particular employee, and he doesn't wear a name tag, but every time I ask him for lotto tickets, he says the machine is broken. I know this is a lie because every other employee does lotto tickets every time. Once I tested my theory and went back about 5 minutes later and a different employee got me lotto tickets with no problem. I asked if the machine was fixed and he didn't know what I was talking about. Several of my neighbors, we all live within a 30 second walk of the store, have stopped going there because of the "no lotto guy". We walk the extra 20 seconds to the store on the next corner.

I asked for help with the gas pump since it wasn't working, and I wasn't sure if the cash registered. He asked if we had ever put gas in a car before. Sir, I have been putting gas in cars for 5 years. Also, the pumps say debit/credit, but gas is cash only.

Watch out for pump ripoffs here. Their pump charged me for 13.7 gallons to fill up my 13.2 gallon tank.

Wouldn't let my MIL use the bathroom which is illegal. Didn't say it was out of order just didn't let her use it. It's ARCO, the gas is already watered down, don't be a j*** on top of selling inferior product
