My beautiful car - an Audi TT year 2011, was sideswiped. Amato's did the repair and OMG! It looks brand new! Not only did they do a magnificent job repairing the damage, but also polished the entire car so the repair is seemless! Then, in addition, they detailed the inside as well! Not only that - but they kept me informed at every step of the process, so I never worried about how or when the job would be done. A shout out to the team, particularly Sharon and Zane!

Just picked up my Porsche Macan after the repair on hood and right front fender area. The car came back as like a brand new one. I am so happy seeing the car without any issue. Perfect repair with perfect painting. They even detailed it so nicely.
Jesse and Johnny helped a lot, for scheduling, status update, and also delivering the car to my place. This was my first time having the car repaired in San Diego but I am so happy choosing Amato. Highly recommended.

I took in my Porsche Cayenne for body work and they were very efficient and repaired the vehicle to perfection. They worked with the insurance company and so I had really nothing to do with the payments. They also got my car ready faster than anticipated so I could have the vehicle for the long July 4 holiday weekend. We also used Amato's Auto Body a couple years ago on our 911 and also had great service.

I wish I could give 10 stars instead of being limited at five. The customer service at Amato auto repair is way above and beyond the expected. It parallels the quality of the workmanship: when I got my car back, I couldn’t tell it from a brand new vehicle! The working culture there is very very positive. All of the employees from the back to the front must be very proud to work for this company.

I have had a very good experience each time I've taken my Tesla model 3 to Amatos
auto body shop for repairs as a result of an accident; recently the front end, in the past, the rear end, and another time for damage to much of the body including a tiny dent in the hood, caused by flying debris.
The team work at Amatos, their consistent communication in order to update the repair progress with me and Nick (knowledgable & professional) and Zane's hard work (determination!), along with a good relationship with the auto insurance Co., while insisting on the proper Tesla replacement parts, got the job done right and returned my beloved 2018 Tesla looking new and now a classic. Thank you!

Everyone I’ve interacted with at Amato’s was friendly and helpful. Their relationship with the local Enterprise car rental makes things easy and super convenient…but most importantly is the quality of their work which is impeccable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else…they’re the best!

I recently had my Tesla Y declared totaled after a rear end accident and took it to Amato’s Auto Body Shop for evaluation. The experience was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was incredibly compassionate and professional, guiding me through the entire process with patience and understanding. They provided a thorough assessment and detailed explanations, making a stressful situation much more manageable.
What impressed me most was Zane’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Despite the unfortunate outcome, he kept me informed at every step and helped coordinate with my insurance company. The shop was immaculate, and the staff’s empathy and support were truly exceptional. I highly recommend Amato’s and would use them again.

Amato's SUCKS! Do not bring your vehicle here. They are totally dysfunctional, especially Jesse, who was "mis"-handling my car. It took many months to get minor damage repaired. After I finally got the car back, the tailgate still did not work as designed. I called back and had to play chase with Jesse for over a week to try to get an appointment to get it fixed. They have now said they can get the car back in for another 20 days! Then, god only knows how long it will be stuck in the shop again. Go someplace else, trust me.

I have never written a bad review in my life, but feel obligated to warn people not to bring their car to Amato's. I brought my Audi in on January 2nd, I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to order parts and 2-3 weeks for the repair work.
I received no updates or phone calls regarding the parts for my car, I called 6x and emailed with no return call from Jesse. Finally after 6 weeks when I called I was told the parts for my car had arrived and I could book an appointment for another 2 weeks out. When I finally brought my car in I was told after the 1 week I would be able to get an updated time table for how long it would take to fix my vehicle, I never received that information, it took 9 weeks and I would often receive the same update and misleading information regarding the completion of my car. For the last three weeks I received the same update each week that my car was complete only for it to not actually be completed.
I called Audi to ask why they would recommend this shop and they told me they no longer recommend this Amato's this is a poorly run shop, communication is completely unprofessional, no accountability, absolutely horrific experience.

My Jaguar was broken into and sustained some minor damage: a small ding on the tailgate, interior damage to one seat, and a small tear on the ceiling lining. It took this auto body shop 4 months to make the repairs. Both the insurance company and I had to continuously follow up, and it was one excuse after another. Since my insurance only covered 30 days for a rental car, I was out of pocket for 3 months for a rental car. The entire repair cost was only $10, and it took that long.
The company does not communicate well and is definitely disorganized. The shop runs poorly, and the clients end up being the losers. I strongly advise against taking your car to this shop. The experience was frustrating and costly, and the lack of professionalism and efficiency is unacceptable. No one should have to endure such poor service.

I had a horrible experience. I had an appointment with Jesse for a quote on 3/20/24 at noon. He told me he would have the estimate to me within 2 hours.
I called close to the end of day and spoke with an office staff person who said she would have him to send it before he leaves.
I called the next day around 11:30am. Still could not reach Jesse or received the estimate. I was told by another staff person she would relay the message to him and have him send it by end of day.
I called the following day to speak with Jesse because I still had not received a call or the estimate. I asked for a manager and was not given one, but was directed to Jesse.
As I was on hold the recording of “we provide high level customer satisfaction, our customers come first, we love going the extra mile” played in the background.
Jesse finally came to the line explaining he thought he sent it on 3/20, but, it was still sitting in his draft. This does not explain why I did get call back as he knew through the relayed messages to him I did not get it.
He even tried to blame it on I wasn’t receiving it. Which how would I if it was sitting in his draft. No apology! No accountability! No ownership! Just excuses and deflection.
Finally got the estimate and it was $600 more than another shop I received an estimate from. Plus, he said it could be an additional $1000-$2000 if they cannot calibrate it there and have to take it to the dealer for calibration.
I read some of the poor reviews on this site and others, and my experience was very similar. If this is what the service is like on the front end, I hate to imagine if I had actually decided to take my car there.
I felt a responsibility to share my experience so others could be aware.

Amato's Auto Body recently exceeded all my expectations when I took in my cousin's Audi for repair. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly and professional atmosphere. Zane, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience.
Zane's expertise and knowledge were evident as he expertly navigated the insurance process, keeping me informed every step of the way on repairs. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly remarkable. The quality of the repair work was outstanding, and the car looked as good as new when I picked it up.
