Read Al's reviews and based on that engaged him to repair some scratches in my wife's brand new car. On arrival, he immediately went to work and like magic, the scratches disappeared. He has been doing this work for more than 30 years and it is obvious he knows what he is doing. When he finished and I asked him how much, he gave me a number that was nearly half what he had quoted based on the pictures I sent him! Now here's a true good guy!

Came to my home when he said he would. Performed repairs while car was in driveway. Laid down drop cloth to protect concrete driveway. Did a perfect color match on my '18 Genesis g80.

Al did a fantastic job on my very dented rear quarter panel and bumper on my prius. He was very reasonably priced, did the work quickly and was easy and honest to deal with. He didn't upcharge and I paid exactly what he estimated. He doesn't gouge you like most auto body shops will, so if you are paying for repairs out of pocket and not going through insurance, definitely check him out (although I'm sure he takes insurance too).

I had a need for a bumper repair that ALL other body shops I checked were quoting me over $1200. Al not only looked at the damage and gave me a quote of over 50% less, but he did an OUTSTANDING job! The job was done, my extra questions answered in less than 2hrs! Al knows his business and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants great work.

Was really hoping communication would improve, but sadly it didn't. Reached out December 13th and got a same day response with a great quote. I was excited to move forward, but wanted clarification on a term used - never got it. Requested to book an appointment 12/18 and didn't get a response so after waiting awhile, I sent an email hoping that would help get a response - still don't have a response and its 1/16. Followed up again in 12/30 and got an "out of town" message which is totally understandable, but when emailing there should have been an out of office message, and in the last communication an ETA would have been a professional response. I continued to wait and followed up on 1/7 almost a full month later to see when I should check back, even though I shouldn't have to be the one to check back and was left on read. Its now 1/16 and still no communication. Cannot imagine running my business this way and wish Al all the best, but as a customer I highly recommend reaching out to SD Bumper Repair or Smart Scratch Pro if you want timely, professional, and quality service at a reasonable price!

We needed a quick easy cheap fix for my bumper that was misaligned. Al responded and came out the same day to fix it. He was extremely honest and transparent throughout the whole process and he even gave me a deal. I seriously can't recommend him enough.

I typically don't write reviews, but this one is definitely necessary. My rear bumper was cracked over the weekend, and I reached out to Al via text with photos, hoping for a quote. Not only did he get back to me with an estimate the very same day, but he was able to come to my house the next morning to begin working on the car. From start to finish, my initial inquiry to completion, it took a total of 24 hours. Amazing. The before and after photos are attached, and as you can see, he did an incredible job.
