Visited this Ralph Lauren outlet in La Jolla in September with friends. While the store itself was nice, one of the Female employees had a shockingly rude and snobbish attitude. When I mentioned I didn’t know the store was here, she dismissively replied, ‘You should Google it.’ Definitely not the level of service you’d expect from a brand like Ralph Lauren.

Today my best friend and I visited this location. We are on a girls trip in La Jolla California. Sadly we are very disappointed in the treatment we received from the female employee. Approximately 1:30pm to 1:40 pm we walked into the store browsing around. This particular employee was an older Caucasian woman, the only one we encountered was so rude. She was conversing with an older lady pleasantly speaking about her children etc. When she turned to us her whole demeanor changed, she didn’t greet us and then began to walk right by us not saying anything at all. I had initiated a conversation by saying hello. This lady barely looked at us hesitantly and begrudgingly saying hello back and sliding by me as if to make sure not to touch me. I know that things have changed but unfortunately some things stay the same. We decided to walk out and not support this business. Your employee displayed disgusting behavior and needs diversity training. We are here, we are everywhere, we are professional black women and don’t deserve this type of treatment. We will live and shop wherever we choose. Unfortunately it is not a surprise. Get it together. I would give zero stars if I could!

Very professional staff that know a lot about their inventory and design. The store was very hushed and luxurious. Everything was very neat and clean and well-organized. Really feels the part for the price…because the prices are expectedly eye-watering (my friend found a nice black evening dress and it was $3800…whew.) But definitely worth a visit and a great place to find some really nice clothes for special events.

I ordered some items online and I had to return 3 of them in the store, the person who took my return told me that it was Sunday and he needed to make to call customer service on Monday because they do not work on Sundays, then I left my 3 items with him, the next week I checked my refund and this guy only processed two items instead of three items.

Jamile in the lingerie department was rude to me both times coming to this Bloomingdales. Not helpful at all and gave me dirty looks. She should also be aware that Spanish is a widely spoken language and although one may not look like they speak spanish, they still can/do.

Extremely poor customer service at location Fashion Valley in most departments, includingcustomer service. Especially, for the high end and big name department store. I would not recommend anyone to go there if they're expecting for some good customer service.

Bloomingdale's seems to have stopped making customer service a priority. We came in about 20 minutes before the store closed. I happened to look at an item in a jewelry cabinet. All displays were full. The lady behind the counter comes running up telling me they are closing soon and she had to take everything out the displays. She couldn't start with one of the 10 other displays I wasn't looking at? Guess she was afraid I might ask to try on a piece and she would make a sale just before closing.

This place was pretty great to me. I had 2nd thoughts about going due to the reviews. Plus for some reason google told me this place was closed and trying to call in was a fail lol.I drove down anyways because I picked a suit from a different one and was referred to here.I was welcomed here. Believe me when I say the following... "If there's any messed up behavior I will either catch it or pickup on it. It doesn't matter if it's passive aggressive etc etc. I'm a 6ft, medium toned, deceptively big, nice veteran. It's actually why I now go to Bloomingdale's. I've caught it from Macy's in the past then went to Nordstroms and now I'm at bloomingdales."However I did pickup that vibe from a bunch of stuck up customers trying to act like how they think rich people act. One lady was actually nice though... but others.Came in and was actually greeted... in multiple areas. Checked about my suit... went out came back in. More nice people. One gentleman was super courteous to me.The suit area... brooo. Kind of intimidating at first site. They don't play. *Dubs them suit mafia* They're all suited up and it's tailored, well coordinated etc. They spit up and start talking to one there. Again, treatment was top notch. They got the tailor. He was beyond legit. I actually want to tip him. He really educated me on suits, style... in a great manner.Came back out. Another person of the suit mafia helped me out. Tbh I thought she was a mannequin because of how still she was and well dressed. Then she moved. She was also polite, respectful etc.Thanked her. Thanked the other people in the department. It was at some point I realized I had to dial it back because I was thanking people that were just dressed nice as well the staff. Although that person did not mind. From going in to coming out it was nothing but premium treatment. And I walked I. Wearing Jordan's, jeans and shirt of one of my Kru's (thai for teacher... term used in Muay Thai) training centers. I intend on buying more here. When I pick my suit up from alterations.

This store has gone steadily downhill year after year. There is never anyone there to help and some of the people who work here are downright rude. Since the pandemic they started forcing all returns to go to the downstairs return desk. The staff in the rest of the store will rudely tell you they will not help you with a return, even if they are not doing anything else and the store is completely empty. At the return desk downstairs it's where they process online orders, gift wrapping and other customer service things plus the returns. I have waited in line to return something 20-30min every time despite the fact i could do it upstairs in the department i bought it from in under 5min. This policy is absolutely ridiculous and is the opposite of a luxury shipping experience. I hate going to this store now despite having shopped here for many years.

Let me start off that the entire staff here is very selective on who they service. I was by the sunglass section this past Saturday during the evening and this employee was on his cellphone on a personal call. Worse part about it I was literally standing there trying to make eye contact with him to get his attention and he just walked away. Even though they didn't have the $900 sunglasses I wanted that was extremely rude for an employee who makes less in a year than I do in a month. Just saying, don't judge a book by its cover. I don't know his name but he's a short guy with dark hair in a black suit and I'm the person wearing a hat with a black insulated vest and flannel underneath.
