Extremely disorganized items and rude staff. They have a GIANT clearance section right now and I was so excited to find something that fit me. When I went to try to purchase it, the sales clerk named Silvia all of a sudden starts trying to peel off the tag, which would not come off, and told me I was not allowed to get it on sale because her staff did not correctly mark the item. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this exact location. Silvia was very rude and did not try to explain the situation to me. She accused me of putting the tag on there and switching the item. I feel very disrespected by the staff here at the TJ Maxx in San Clemente and it really makes me want to stay away and not give them by business. I tried calling Customer service on the phone but it just kept ringing and I could not get ahold of anyone. I’m not sure why I couldn’t have gotten any kind of discount on my item since the staff clearly messed up the marking of the shirt.

This is a nice store to get a lot of holiday shopping done, but you need a list and patience. I was also disappointed they didn't have more kitchen items such as bowls and such. A whole row of mugs but no plates. A lot of holiday and gift items are out now. I did find some stocking goodies but nothing major here.

I called the store to check on a product availability. The associate by the name of Nan answered the phone and refused to assist me with my request and unprofessionally stated to come in the store to check for myself. I would be escalating this matter as I’ve called other stores and they even suggested for me to call back to check as they receive shipments everyday until Dec 11. Nan did not provide customer service. I live 2 hours away from this store in San Clemente for me to go and “check for myself.”

Is really frustrated living close to this area trying to enjoy to shop at thislocation but is impossible.Always the manager at 9:29pm they start letting you know you have to leave the store because they are in a hurry to close.I don't have this experience at the other locations only here and tonight it happens again.

Im been customer for long time at this store TJ maxx bud today Im not happy with the customer service today by Lorena at from cashiers and other cashier was standing on #4 today , they meet me feel embarrassed in from of more customers in line I went to return 2 items and I don’t get fair deal because the policy , bud theirs policy not say anything about the items I wanna return and not only that’s LORENA in from of the rest of customers say to the other cashier NO I NOT CALL OTHER MANAGERS !!! IS GOING TO BE A NO !!!! Screaming!! I feel offended You don’t treat customers like that.

The cashiers will accuse you of stealing while they check you out to pay for your items. Seems kind of backwards, because if I was stealing I wouldn't be walking up to pay for my items.

I wish I had a photo to attach to thank the two clerks at TJ Maxx in San Clemente. I noticed they were raising funds for autism. This cause is so close to my heart. Autism Speaks has made the impossible possible for so many friends and members of my family. When I got to the checkout the clerk and manager were so kind and spoke to me about what they were doing and then rang a cowbell throughout the store when I donated. I committed to coming back and buying more in the next two weeks. Ya know - we have so many huge companies in this country. Just think how much better off we all would be if some of those companies followed in TJMaxx's footsteps and occasionally used their position to help better life for people in their community. THANK YOU TJ Maxx...and especially the two people at check out. You made my day!

I shop regularly at TJ Maxx. Two weeks ago I purchased an item and the clerk left the security sensor on. I was not planning on returning the item and tossed the receipt. When I went to use the item and noticed the sensor, I brought the item and my credit card receipt to the store to have the sensor removed. Ironically the sensor activated the alarm when I came to return the item but not when I left. The Manager, Araceli G, treated me like I was a criminal and refused to remove the sensor. She told me to call an 800 number that was closed at 2.30 CA time. TJ Maxx, you need to hire people that are problem solvers and are empowered. Clearly they saw me walk in the door with the item and the buzzer went off. I also produced a credit card statement. Why anger a repeat customer that spends thousands over a $35 issue that your clerk caused in the first place.

I went to shop with my mom and her friend. We purchased many items there was a great selection everything was going so well until we checked out. the Cashier Melanie was working so slow and it looked like she was doing It on purpose. They had a long line so I thought maybe she would speed up a little bit. Mind you we were in no rush but I have never seen anyone work this slow in my life. You can tell she hates being there I honestly don't know how she even has this job. Specially to be working on the register. This is so bad for customers and it hurts their business and its a shame because I know Melanie could care less about her job. the customers that were behind us looked so annoyed and some even left their things and got out of the line. There were two other people working the registers and they weren't moving this slow. I am not exaggerating when I say she was. The manager can check the cameras to see and confirm that I am saying is the truth. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager about this but they keep telling me that the manager is not available. You can also see that other customers have left reviews and talking about the same employee its a shame that she is still working there specially since several customers have complained.

This one star review is for one employee and one employee only. Melanie. I've never ever experienced a Ruder customer service experience. I never thought I'd write a review for a retail store but she is so incredibly rude. I asked her how her day was, she ignores. Smacking on her gum giving me a dirty look. Never told me my total just stared at me waiting to pay. Didn't even bother pushing my items back closer to me so I could grab them! Thank you Melanie for spreading negativity
