I called this Taxi company and the dispatch immediately gave me a different taxi cab phone number, I walked what that number is for he said We do not service your area for short trips. I asked are you not a Taxi company he got even more rude then started out and hung up on me.Never use them.

Love the mom and pop shop feel. Love the lobster bisque. You can taste the sherry and dipping the bread in the bisque- divine. No lobster meat found in the bisque tho. Maybe just the portion I received. But the good ends there. The lobster roll was disappointing. I thought I received a crab roll in error when I opened the box. The meat were really small like shattered crab meat. I like the buttery bun tho. The shrimp roll was ok, but not sure if it is worth the price. The chip that came with the order had stale chips. We noticed the bottom of bag was already popped open. Again, maybe just our visit. My fault for not checking to go order. If we are in the area we might get the lobster bisque again, hopefully will have some chunks of lobster meat like the other Yelpers' pictures.

This is our first time going to San Clemente! We found this small shop and LOVED it!!!The owner and staff were all so friendly! Their rolls and soup are flavorful but not heavy. Blue cheese coleslaw is special. Usually I don't like stuff with blue cheese, but it highlights the other flavors in this dish.Owner came and talked to us and asked how we liked the food and explained to us how they make it. Another staff also gave us a soup tasting! We sat outside of the shop and saw them sanitize the table :) It is important especially during this time It locates inside old town San Clemente. We will come back for sure!

The lobster had a fishy old flavor. Not fresh and fairly tough. Not recommended. The clam chowder doesn't come close to cambles canned soup. It's gritty too.

This is a 3.5 star place but Yelp doesn't allow half stars. We got a lobster roll and it came with 2 sides. We also ordered the Mac and cheese with crab and a lemonade. The lobster roll was good it was slightly warm. The sides were blue cheese cole slaw and beans. That's where the stars get docked. The beans had a weird flavor to them and the cole slaw was interesting. I would never try these sides again. The lemonade was supposed to be fresh squeezed but tasted maybe powder? It was very sweet. The Mac and cheese was good and had a okay amount of crab mixed into it. I'd get the lobster roll and Mac and cheese again. And prob stick with chips for sides haha

So we are not from the East Coast but native San Diegan's and raised on seafood. Lobster Rolls isn't our go too. But have had several all over SD. 1st, no fatty claw filler. It's not meat. Doesn't have the taste either. Lobster Shack let us down here. ( See picture) . Now the 12.95 shrimp cocktail. Not six, not five, but 4 shrimp. Standard size 20/25 count but FOUR ? $3.25 each ? Nope. Not into that either. Still my wife had the clam chowder in a small styrofoam bowl and she said it was ( OK). Not bad/ Not memorable. But the star of the evening was the guy who took out order and the in house made cocktail sauce. 5 stars. Will we be back ? Not likely but if your in the area and not fussy about money/ volume then shrimp cocktail and maybe, just maybe the lobster roll. " Hold the claw fatty stuff". Meat only please.

Dan wasn't there. Brady and Lexie were running it. When I mentioned to Kathy we should go there I thought she would wet herself. She didn't. Brady is a Brother Marine. We had Lobster Rolls, Shrimp cocktail and Lobster Bisque. My God. Just keeps getting better. How do they do it? Worth the trip from Norco. Thanks again

I was really looking forward to this trip, but was disappointed in the lobster roll. I've definitely had better at lesser raved about places. Amount of lobster was measly, cole slaw not great.

Wow what a little gem! Looking for a place to have some delicious lobster and the Lobster Shack did not disappoint. We ordered the trio, It comes with 3 rolls. The lobster roll, crab roll and shrimp roll. Plus 4 sides. The flavor, texture and meatiness or the lobster was on point. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the crispy buttery rolls made the sandwiches over the top!We will definitely be making the drive from Buena Park to San Clemente to eat at this addictive little shack with the high quality food that we enjoyed every bite of!I don't even mention the beans and coleslaw, both were very tasty as well.Cody was friendly and answered all of our questions about where the seafood is sourced from.Family owned, come give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Happily surprised to find this place the other day while in Old Town!I came in to try a different spot in oldtown. it seemed the lockdown might of gotten to them since they were closed.I had noticed from across the parking lot the sign. I said to myself "woah this cant be real"it was !very similar to slapfish. with a mom and pop feel! very small location. could be called a hole in the wall, a VERY Good One AT THAT!the menu and ordering kiosk is right there when you walk in. its a very small unit so they have to use all the space for kitchen and back of the house. you order and grab a seat outside. they have tables built into the posts on the awning of old town! cementing the lobster shack into its history! seems like they were setup for covid way before covid! they have 3 sandwiches and some soups . you get choice of sides. including drinks. I ordered the Lobster Roll, with baked beans and chips(bbq)the gentleman I ordered from recommended the lobster bisque . he turned it down. I wanted to do it as an add on side. instead of the chips for like $1 or 2 more . He was not down.I waited a few minutes at the outdoor tables and when I got my food which I asked for togo(which they do) . I ate it on the tailgate of my truckThe Bread and baked beans were delicious ! the bread's crust/exterior was crispy/crunchy just right. the interior soft and fluffy like it had just been baked. the baked beans were sweet and warm coulda been can'd but they were a good combo. the lobster was good huge luscious chunks , you were always getting some lobster with every bite. only thing I was unfamiliar with is that the lobster was cold.... I thought it was supposed to be warm?I guess thats why he said dip it in the bisque. I dipped it in the baked beans but like its chunks of lobster so it started getting messy falling everywhere. very napkin heavy. the ones ive previously had by other establishments are warm and personal lobster cooked has been eaten warm? maybe I am coming from a place of ignorance?I did finish everything. including the chips which were 3rd party prebagged . not made by the lobster shackI did like this place very much. I love how they are in a small unit makin it happen. seems like it was the right pick with the outdoor. I did like the food. I love the location. I want to try more menu items for sure!

Hmm I wish I could say that we loved this place, but it was honestly so expensive for what we ordered and kinda disappointing... In a group of 3 people, we ordered 2 bowls of lobster bisque, 1 bowl of clam chowder, 1 crab roll, and 2 crab cakes. I'll start with what was good: the clam chowder was really thick and full of flavor. I wish it had more clam but I'll live and would order it again just like it was. The lobster bisque was also okay, tho it was really lacking cream and was more of a tomato soup with some lobster in it; the lack of thickness was confusing. The crab roll was probably the best bang for your buck since you get 2 sides, but because I don't eat blue cheese the coleslaw was inedible for me. Finally, the crab cakes were a total let down. they are SO tiny!!! Legit the size of a flat golf ball. Do yourself a favor and save that money towards a bigger meal. I ended up having to order pizza afterwards bc I was still so hungry!!

I've been looking for an authentic lobster roll for some time. I have finally found real New England style rolls and chowder. This place is a small hole in the wall and it couldn't be any better. Brady recommended pouring some lobster bisque over the roll and it was perfect. The NE Clam Chowder was just like my dad would make. Try the NE Baked Bean and the Blue Cheese Slaw for sides. This place is a can't miss for anyone that grew up back East.
