I’ve been a San Carlos branch customer for many years and thought I should mention their amazing service! Everyone from the security guard to the teller were welcoming and prompt. San Carlos is a full service branch, including Private Client services. Give them a try.

Customer service is awful. Rude employees, obviously hate their jobs and don't want to be there... maybe quit if that's the case and do something else

I had a very positive experience. I had an appointment and was seen immediately. Jessica handled most of the unique transaction but 3 others got involved too.

The local branch doesn’t answer the phone and I’ve tried multiple days. I was unable to reach anyone without going in-person. Misinformation and inefficiencies caused delays and multiple trips. I will be moving all funds out and won’t be banking at Chase!

Was sent here because the Belmont branch couldn't help me open a CD. Long story short, they didn't have the time to help me and no one was willing to stay past 5 to take my money because "They would get in trouble." Never had my money feel so meaningless to a company.

Chase is making banking more time consuming than timed with only hours to complete. Case in point. I wrote a check to a co. To Pay. Chase sent security code to confirm 2.5 hours later then it No longer works. Called back per security, they said live security code was sent But I can't see it on my phone they did this 3 times total. No codes received. Chase said you now have 3 hours to complete this in person at a chase location. All this just to clear a single transaction. Btw I have plenty of funds in there. What is going On.

Terrible experience across the board from chase bank and all it's subsidiaries. Though I do technically still "bank" here, at this specific location, it's not because I want to. My most recent terrible experience was related to a covid travel cancellation for an experience booked through chase travel. Instead of refunding me as other banks have when travel providers refused to honor their own contracts for pre-paid tickets, chase gave be a "bonus" thanks back. This affects how they report revenue and expenses (inflates revenue and also expenses) and requires me to pay tax on the "bonus" they gave me on the 1099. Moving forward, my only new years resolution is to do less business with chase and more with american express (who made me whole through refund instead of a bonus which required me paying tax on a 1099). Big middle finger to chase.

There is ONE teller. And one little old lady taking the time to check on all her accounts. Another employee on his computer, not noticing five people in line.

NEVER EVER USE CHASE! Run away as fast as you can!!!!! Someone stole my debit card information and they are holding me accountable. Hundreds of dollars stolen from a “non chase atm,” but since my PIN number was used, I am responsible even though I have evidence that I was not at an atm at the time of the crime and I had my debit card on me.

Good customer service. Friendly, family-like atmosphere. "Emilio" was very kind and helpful. They're night and day from the Bank of America across the street, which frankly evokes the hotel lobby from "The Shining."

My review is for this particular branch experience pre-covid. The staff is very helpful. The transactions I made here are quite simple. Typically required a bit of wait. But never waited more than 5-10mins. They took time to listen to my requests and address the issues I faced. There's a dedicated parking right beside the building which is plus if you are visiting during the peak hours.

We have been to this branch twice and both times it has been a great experience. Everybody is so helpful.

Our family has been banking with Chase for over 2 decades. The incompetence at San Carlos branch is the worst possible for a world-wide bank. Stephanie, said she was in charge and didn't know how to cash an EE bond. She hands me a selfie note with the website. If she even knew a little about bonds, she would know that the bank needs to verify the signature of the bond holder before it is mailed in. Her responses and attitude made it clear that she and the other teller didn't know what they were doing. I left to go to Citibank where they cashed it with no problem. But other Chase branches have cashed a mature bond in the past.
