With the weather really heating up, I finally decided that the factory window tints on my 6 month old ultra red 2023 Tesla Model X wasn't enough so I researched yelp for a solid detailing shop and found Artec. Very nice family run local business in San Carlos. Very convenient location. They have a great deal of experience with Teslas and were very responsive to my questions and gave me a very reasonable quote. I went with their recommendations on the level of tinting and of course I chose ceramic to help with blocking IR that I don't think factory tints do as well. At least I wanted to make sure everything was optimal in preventing too much heat from damaging the interior and to keep the overall temps down from the windows. My Model X was already PPFd by a shop in San Jose but I really liked the newer graphene coating tech and so had Artec coat everything. Again very reasonable and competitive pricing. I have no regrets. The detailing work was outstanding and the car looks brand new again and dirt doesn't seem to stick! I really appreciated their expertise. Ernest spent time with me to go over how they detail their cars and recommended cleaners if I wanted to clean the exterior myself and that was so helpful. They are friendly and efficient and they returned my vehicle at the promised time even though they had to take extra time and energy the night before to get the job nicely done. I am impressed with their invoicing service by email and paying them is a breeze with Apple Pay. Believe me, they will take great care of your vehicle! The window tinting made a huge difference in the decreasing the radiant heat transferred in through the glass. Highly recommended! I've always hand washed my own cars but I will be going to them for their detailing from now on.

This was my second visit to Artec. I purchased a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires for my 2017 Mazda MX-5 ND. I had the tires mounted, balanced, and the wheels aligned, while I waited. The Artec folks gave me an excellent price and the service was top tier. I recommend Artec to anyone who is looking for a first rate performance shop in the San Carlos area. I recently brought my high-end Italian race bike to Artec for touchup and detailed paint polish work on the frame. Ernest was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. His work is excellent and he accomplished exactly what I asked for. Not only did Ernest complete the work while I waited, but he was very thoughtful and consultative throughout the process. I give Artec an A+, and I highly recommend Artec for your next detailed paint project. Thanks again, Ernest!

I had a very positive experience with these guys. They are very knowledgeable about BMW and also friendly and down to earth. I used to do car work all by myself so I could tell. No nonsense. They love what they do. The price is very reasonable considering the quality of the work and their attention to detail. Highly recommend you give them a call.

I needed to get my knock sensor replaced. I used Yelp to get a quote around my area because I didn't have time to call or drive around. Artec was the only shop that gave me an actual quote using my VIN. The other shops kept urging me either pay for a diagnostic to confirm the issue prior to completing what needed to be done. I read through their reviews and saw how others trusted them, so I called them to set an appointment. They told me it would only take a few hours to get fixed. I dropped my car off at 10am and it was ready within 2.5 hours. The amount they quoted through Yelp was the exact amount they charged. No hidden fees. They also had Apple Pay, so it was a quick transaction when I picked my car up. I will definitely come back because they were efficient and have a fair price for the service.

This shop is very honest and the most skilled mechanics in the area from real old cars to modified street vehicles. This was the only shop that could fix my wife's van and he found the other shops misdiagnosed and found problems in 45 minutes. Was fixed all problems cheaper than anywhere and done great . Van has never ran better and now we have a shop for my wife to go and have work done right the first time . God bless these people at Artec vintage automotive

Good communication over yelp and on the phone. Shop is clean with some pristine show-quality older BMWs inside, at the end of a line of shops where you can see work going on all kinds of cool classic and modern cars. You can tell from the cars coming in that these guys are enthusiasts. The team was friendly, the work was fast, and reasonably priced for the quality of service.

Great Service and friendly guys! I called them asking if they could take a look at my 1995 M3 project I've been working on because the alignment felt off after having it done and 2 different shops and all the parts on the car are new. They test drove it to get an idea of how it felt before the alignment (something 9/10 shops don't ever consider) and once the car was on the rack they spotted a few issues that require attention to make the car feel perfect. Post alignment the car feels infinitely better to drive and isn't unstable at highway speeds anymore! These guys know their alignments! They also got me in right before Memorial Day weekend started which I greatly appreciated. Thanks Artec!
