Eddie and his team recently replaced my transmission on my 2016 Silverado. Very communicative, good price, quality work and finished the job earlier than expected. Very pleased with the quality of work and highly recommend the shop.

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AS YOU CAN!!! I'm not entirely sure where to start, so I'll just bullet point some things first:*I paid almost $3,400 to rebuild my transmission in August 2019.*Warranty was 3 years/36,000 miles.*Covid hit early 2020, and we all know what happened, no one went hardly anywhere.*I had taken it back a few times in between for problems because it just never felt right, but was always told it was just fine.*I only drove 22,000 on the "new" transmission before it completely stopped working last week, and on the freeway of all places.*I called Eddie and let him know what happened, and had it towed there two days later.*Eddie called and said that I needed ANOTHER "new/rebuilt" transmission, still after ONLY 22,000 miles driven on it!!!*Told me that it would cost me ANOTHER $2,500-$3,000, BUT that he would "help me out" and do the labor for free.We had a couple conversations over two days, and the last conversation sealed the deal for me to NEVER work with him again!!! Mind you, we also have another truck that we paid him to do a transmission on because I thought he was a good guy...It was originally towed from a shop, and the shop was the "customer" on the paperwork, and not my name specifically. I asked him why he wouldn't still honor the warranty since covid happened in between the 3 years, and I obviously hadn't driven over 36,000 miles. He told me that he purchased the business (after being the manager for 20 years) in January, and that since it was under different ownership he technically didn't have to "help" me out at all. I told him that HIS name was on the paperwork regardless of ownership change, and asked him why he wouldn't want to make right by HIS now customers and still honor the warranty. He said "well technically you're not even my customer, ****** Auto is" (even though the check that paid him was in my name), and I just about lost it! I asked him why after only 22,000 miles this would happen, and he said that some component(s) must have given out, but that he wasn't going to diagnose it any further for "free", and that a "new" one was basically my only option. All he kept saying was how he was "trying to help me out", when in reality, he didn't want any money coming out of his own pocket to fix a problem caused by HIS workers. I asked him why the hell I would want to pay them to FIX something that I had already paid to have done RIGHT in the first place, AND when I specifically took it to him within the warranty a few times because it didn't feel right; but and he told me that since it's past the "warranty", that's all he would do for me. I have a very good feeling that he KNEW something wasn't right one of the times I took it back to him, but just NEVER said anything...I was so incredibly disappointed and pissed off! I felt like I was now dealing with a heartless, unethical, money-grubbing, condescending, chauvinistic person, and not the person we had been dealing with from the beginning, and I was done!!! I had my truck towed home, and I will NEVER deal with him, or his shotty business again! I HIGHLY recommend that no one else does either. Seriously, how do people like that even sleep at night???We've sent quite a few people his way over the past few years, and he could have had a customer for life, but I guess his honor and integrity didn't follow him once he became the owner. Losing business instead of fixing your mistakes will NEVER make good business sense, or a good business owner!I'm not one to leave yelp reviews, but on the advice of every tow truck driver, shop I've called inquiring about a new transmission, family member, and friend I've spoken to about this, I needed to! They have all stated how horrible this situation, his business practices, and moral code are, and urged me to let the public know to NEVER use this shop, so here I am. I recently had my oil changed at one of those oil change chains and they said my transmission needed service. I didn't trust them for anything more than an oil change so I went to a local transmission shop, someone recommended San Bruno Transmission, and now I am too. They finished up several hours earlier than their estimate, and were very pleasant to deal with. And their pricing was very competitive.

Had an issue with my Benz Yr 2000, brought it to the dealership but could not tell me what the problem was. I git my car out of the dealership and brought it to SB Transmission & Repair Shop. - Great workmanship - Eddie the Owner informed me that my Benz had a transmission problem. It was taken cared of very well and the problem was fixed. Almost a month now and my car seems like in perfect shape again. - Very friendly owner named Eddie who took care of my car while it was in the repair shop. - Provided me a very competitive price quote, ordered all the necessary parts needed, and fixed my car while out of the country on bereavement. Tyvm Eddie for your very considerate attitude taking care of my car while I was out of the country. You got me in your business.

Fast, clean, and professional! Clutch and fly wheel replaced within 24hrs. Went above and beyond to clean the entire engine bay and flush the transmission. Even got a follow up call to make sure everything is perfect.

Eddie is a great and caring man. Shop is clean and orderly, probably a difficult goal to achieve when dealing with cars and all the parts, oil/fluids.

Dishonest! Terrible customer service! They were paid to do a complete rebuild of my 20 year old car's 5 speed stick transmission. When the car was returned after 12 days, it was obvious that something was very wrong. There was a loud banging noise relating to road speed, not rpms. Clearly they didn't check their work as the defect was very obvious. I sent it back on 10/18/21. Instead of the complete rebuild requested, promised, & paid for, they'd left in (or put in) a defective 3rd gear rod. They returned the car on 11/18/21. Meanwhile, I'd rented the cheapest car (Chevy Spark) I could get. Despite the poor workmanship necessitating the re-do, Eddie refuses to reimburse for the month of a rental car. if the work had been done properly the first time, I wouldn't be stuck with an extra $1266. bill from Hertz for the month Edison Gomez & crew took to do the job correctly. The slipshod work & terrible customer service give this joint an F in my book.

Eddie and his staff went above and beyond the job called for. My mechanic had not been able to fix the problem. Eddie not only did this, but found things overlooked that should have been taken care of during oil changes and tune-ups. His attention to detail is obvious in things like the neat handwriting on his receipts, calling with updates at every step of the process, and returning the car clean and washed. Everyone in the shop was really nice too. My only surprise was that tax hadn't been figured into the quote he gave me, but when I saw the amount charged for labor and materials, it was fair. I would recommend Eddie and the mechanics at this shop to anyone.
