The people don’t seem bad so this isn’t a review on them, but rather just San Bruno’s internet problem as a whole. They’re outdated and need to let 3rd party companies back in. Competition is good for the consumer, not this monopoly the city has. Especially when the internet they provide to the majority of the city is trash. Max 300 Mbps download, and a measly 10 Mbps upload in 2024? Fast internet should be a right, not a privilege anymore

I think the high speed internet is excellent, and the folks who work there have always been polite and kind to me.As we know in my part of San Bruno, when a storm hits the power fails. San Bruno Cable always stays up. I can run 2 days on backup. The ISP never fails.

Horrible customer Service... Ooops What's Customer service means to them. Called Multiple times in different days and hours tried get to a live person to discussed the bills over the cancelled account over 3 months ago but still receiving invoice, but their isn't any response and AI answering programmed to simply hangup. Let's not talk about internet service as this page won't have room for me to write. What is this so call San Bruno City net service received funding to improve but how? I am glad I have got out.

The service is fine most of the time but they create their own problems and customer service is zombies who are not interested in win-win solutions. For example, my service was cut today with no warning because my autopay credit card expired. Warning email or text? Nope. I would have happily updated it to start current. When I told customer service that better communication could have avoided this problem altogether, I got defensiveness and a general "that's how we do it" response. No interest in improvement. Maybe they are just looking for the $40 recommend fees? They offered to waive mine and immediately hung up, so no idea what their goal was. Weird company.

Raised my rate without a notice not a email not a letter nothing. Terrible customer service and if you have issues on the weekends you're pretty much screwed till Monday a lot of people told me about how bad san Bruno cable is I should have listened to them.Deservingly a 2.5 best. Do yourself a favor get infinity AT&t U-verse any of those but do not get San Bruno Cable hopefully they'll go under one day. They have to be at least 10 years behind all the other.

Company is unacceptable. Bill went up over 30% in my month with no additional coverage or services. Will be ending their services as soon as possible.

Humiliating, degrading, unreasonable, out-dated, anti-scientific COVID policies are what you'll be subject to every time your modem loses connection every few months.Would not recommend.

San Bruno Cable Tv installed internet for one of our units today and their technicians have bad judgment. I asked them to do a clean job but instead I received a very ugly installation site. They didn't even try to hide the line. They need to come fix it. What a terrible experience.

Trash service. San Bruno holds you hostage as to not allow Xfinity. It's been a racket ever since the trash cats started this hustle in the 80's. It's buffoonery at its finest. As San Bruno, enters the 21st century 20 years late perhaps its moronic city council can figure out how to rid us of this scourge. Trash

New website looks good, however it was not ready for the public yet, so its trash until I can enter my complete account number.

Not helpful at all. Office hours are supposedly until 5. Except when you call at 4:30, no one answers the phone. Then when you call “after hours” support, apparently nothing can be done and I need to speak to someone in the office. This company literally monopolizes the whole complex I’m in and it’s not possible to get any other provider at all. The prices are ridiculous, product is horrible, and customer service is non-existent. I wish I could give zero stars.

I have had good luck with CityNet isp over the years until now. I called tech support because my internet was down when I got home. I use it for work. Their after hours tech support is in Atlanta I later Iound out. The first time I called tech support last night I simply asked the technician if other people in town were experiencing issues with their internet (at this point I thought the tech support was at citynet not a call center.) The lady on the other end laughed and said yes other people are having issues too and laughed again.I then told her I would simply wait a couple of hours and call back if it was not up. She laughed again and said goodbye.I laid down for a few hours.. snd when I awoke the isp was still down so I called support again. This is when I found out they were a call center.. the lady had me unplug and replug my equipment a couple of times then said I need a technician on-site. So it's 4am now and I am headed into the office because I can't work at home. Repair people are supposed to call me today to schedule a repair. My rating afterwards will either be changed to 5 stars or decreased depending on the support I get today. I will update the review when my repair is completed.I do have hope in the local repair folks though.. they are very capable so I'm sure it will be updated with a positive ending to this post. The offsite call center is the reason for only 4 stars at this pointUpdate - Citynet folks are awesome!! they rewired my condo the same day as the initial visit because I work fro home. The technicians were so capable and friendly I gave them both a bottle of an un-named beverage. To citynet- thank you soo much!! I would give you 6 stars if possible :)Nice folks too - highly recommended by me to anyone who is considering their services!!

It's Saturday and I've been on hold waiting for the branch office's customer service for 30 minutes only to find out they're actually closed on weekends, but their automated teleprompter kept telling me to "please, continue to stay on hold.." What kind of sick joke is this?!? Why would they put you on hold if they are closed. Why not just have an automated message saying they are closed and call back on Monday? This was mildly infuriating, because had I not gone on Yelp to check their hours of operation, I would have been on hold patiently waiting for hours. Come on man..
