I was able to save a little by buying the package deal which Melissa made it very easy to schedule the next appointments after every service. “had a lovely experience here this morning. I was extremely stressed due to the fact I had to take a last minute covid-19 PCR test for my flight tonight, and the staff here was amazing. They were nothing but friendly and helped me quickly and made sure that I had everything I needed to ensure I would be able to fly safely and make my trip tonight. Both the man in charge and the kind woman who did my swab were great and I would definitely come back for any testing needs.”

“Check in was really easy at the kiosk, and they took me in immediately (I had an appointment). The folks there were really nice, and took me seriously when I told them I tend to pass out. They let me wait for a specific room with a lay flat option to draw blood to become available. The did seem short staffed (it seemed only two people were working, one checking people into their rooms and getting their paperwork/vials ready and the Phlebotomist. My phlebotomist was awesome! She was kind and patient, checked in during the draw to make sure I was okay, and encouraged me to take it slow after and brought me a water. Definitely will come back here for future blood work, this was one of the best experiences I've had getting blood drawn.”

“Walk-in for lab is pretty quick and efficient. But hours should be kept up-to-date. I was waiting in the parking lot for a while before going in because Google maps said they opened at 8:30. I also had another appointment to go to and ended up coming back here after. That was a huge mistake. It's best to go as early as you can. Parking is HORRIBLE around 10am!”
“Hospitals. It's often easy to find out what is wrong... so I understand harsh reviews. They are useful & that's great because there is the ability to improve! Mills has been around for a long time- and yet it is modern, tech-savvy and the doctors and nurses work as a team. Our stay is at Christmas-time. The most heart-wrenching time to be here. However, we have been happily surprised at the willingness to find out what is REALLY wrong. We are here for a cardiac issue, that means a BP check every 2 hours... that means lights on at 2am and 4am etc, with questions and possibly consultations. The staff and Docs are great! We appreciate their diligence and thoroughness. The meals are hot, tasty and well-prepared + big variety on menu. Delivered in about 30 minutes / or preorder. The Room is super clean and comfortable. I was invited to stay with my hubby- wow, a bed was made up for me! Variety oof rooms, clearly marked with cautions like "fall hazard" marked on the door. Nurse / doctor names are marked on a white board so changes are easy to see. I am so grateful that everyone explains what they are doing, in a courteous and thoughtful way. I am confident they will figure out the issues, but while that is on-going he is resting peacefully. this is the best place for him to be, safe and calm. Thanks Mills, it's our first time here, and you are super stars.”
“Went today around 9:30am without any appointment and we managed to be in and out in less than 30 minutes! I work in a facility for people with special needs and it is a challenge to get our clients to cooperate. Fortunately, they understood our predicament and expedited the process. They even had security assist us as sometimes our client can get resistive. Bottom line, they made things very easy and pleasant for us. From the personnel who processed our papers, the security and the phlebotomist. You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work!”

“I’m both surprised and not surprised by all the negative reviews here. I got a last minute appt and showed up a bit early. Check-in was fast and easy. Staff were friendly and everything went super quick. The space was open and clean. I could see how not having an appt or having an issue with check-in could go sideways, but my experience was painless. Easy parking and transit options as well. Way less painful than my local labcorp.”

“I went in on a Saturday as a walk-in. I arrived at 7:40 and was out by 9:30. The waiting room was full and while the workers were efficient with check-in and care, this being the only Labcorp open on a Saturday in the peninsula means you can expect a wait. Arrive as early, bring a book, snacks, and water.
Parking is tricky in this area, there’s a large construction projection going on next to the building.
Service was professional and friendly. It would make everyone’s lives easier if labcorp had more labs open on Saturday (the demand is there) but that’s on the company, not the receptionists and technicians who are doing their best.”

“Really easy experience with making an appointment online, checking in at the kiosk, et cetera. Mostly I am reviewing because the female employee who checked me in, took measurements, and drew my blood gave me the hands-down best blood draw experience of my life (usually nurses or doctors struggle with this for my veins and it can be very painful) and was both kind and very professional throughout. I wish I had gotten her name, so I could personally shout her out here. I was in and out in about 20 minutes, too, which was great.”

On my most recent visit, there was apparently a technical issue with the scheduling that allowed people to book 4 appointments every 10 minutes although there were only 3 phlebotomists scheduled to serve them. The staff did their best to accommodate every customer in whatever way possible. My wait was longer than expected, but not terrible.”
“Recently went to AHF for a general check up and my first experience with the AHF team was great! Their staff is knowledgeable, caring and responsive... they went above and beyond by getting me scheduled quickly. I was a bit unsure about going because I'm not Poz and there are some bad reviews for related locations. Neither concern amounted to anything... the reviews are from individuals who have a political bone to pick with AHF - but (sounds like) never received care from the team... do yourself a favor and ignore them. While they specialize in working with folks who are Poz (HIV+) or seeking preventative care, they'll accept non-Poz patients too. My understanding is they'll see patients without regard to ability to pay and while waiting I heard the staff working with patients to make sure they have access to every available resource that might help them. Bummed that the office is only open Weds and Fridays, but the friendly team more than makes up for any stars I'm inclined to knock off for that. Bottom line - the AHF team is a great community resource - they deserve some Yelp love!”
“I was surprised to see so many negative comments because our experience using this company was anything but terrible. We were so happy with how quick, inexpensive, and thorough the process was. We did bill through insurance but Invitae made it so easy for us. We just wish there were more genetic counselors on staff. ”

“The most wonderful people. Was weekly tested, saliva not nasal. Results in 2 hours last few months, prior to that next day. They offer nasal testing but not what I prefer. Super friendly.”
