I have not been to this store in more than 20 years, I am so happy that I went, very good sales on everything, and I walked right in and found what I was looking for and I am full figured and sometimes that is not so easy.

Ruwaida did an amazing job! I am new to the area and needed a full highlight. She meticulously highlighted my hair and helped me make decisions about the correct toner. I have a LOT of hair and she was great! SO grateful.

Can I give minus 10 starts? But Maile gets 10 stars. May 3, 2024, at 2:30pm, my family and I went to JCPenney's portrait studios in San Bruno for a photo shoot to celebrate my niece's 5th birthday. When we arrived the gentleman at the check in counter proceeded to check us in. What caught my attention was "you have 15 minutes to take your photos". I asked to see the 15-minute policy in writing, his response, "Hmmm nope, I don't got it". We tried to express the 15-minute session was not conveyed when the appointment was booked. During the time of the booking my sister asked if she could bring balloons and an extra change of clothes to change into, for the photo session. She was told yes. I asked if he could contact his supervisor, his response "you can't have his number, he's on vacation". Not what I asked, but okay buddy. I stepped outside contacted JCPenney's in Concord, I was told the photo sessions are 45 not 15 minutes. I walked into the portrait studio and told him what I just discovered. He, the reason I am not addressing this adult by his government name is because he refused to give his name, such a toddler! He tried to say you have 45-minutes to.... All of a sudden you know a different number besides 15! I stopped him and politely asked if he would reframe from speaking to me. His coworker Maile, set up the studio while this foolishness was going on. As she stated taking the photos, here he comes with more shenanigans standing in the doorway, like a weirdo, VERY ODD. That was a pervert move while trying to annoy us. No grown man should watch a child take photos if he is not photographer. Standing watch, hmmmm. My niece's father asked him to step out, he didn't feel comfortable with him watching the session. He stood there for a few more minutes until I walked in front of him in ensure I was to block his view. He moved back to the vacant front desk that he abandon. Byeeee buddy! I think his behavior was odd, extremely inappropriate, and unprofessional. Before I forget he threatened to end the studio session several times. When asked why he looked with a blank facial expression and said "BECAUSE". If 15-minutes is Penny's rule, they need to be shut down too. Kids do not cooperate, especially when a camera and a stranger is in their face flicking pictures, talking about smile! Maile was super amazing. She stepped in, ignored her coworkers' shenanigans. Maile took her time, she was patient and extremely kind. She apologized for inconveniences we may have experienced. Overall, Maile made the experience and photo shoot perfect. Before I go, let me say he prided himself in being the "grinch store manager" and using his authority to be vindictive for no reason. The world is cruel why try to ruin a kids 5th birthday day, we only get one! Thank you Maile, you're a blessing a sweetheart.

Customer services at jewelry department is horrible and I smell some racism in there,seems like they don't like to help and just walk around and readjusting boxes of stuff instead of helping customers,,,sucks!! That's why they are closing!!!

JCPenneys at Tanforan Mall usually has what I need, and the men's section is big. I bought my boots there, and clothes, like my Levi jeans. Great prices! It's definitely not as full of clothes as in the past, but there are still a lot to choose from. Lots of parking.

Nice enough store & good sales, but went there to find jeans that were on sale online. Didn't order for pickup because wanted to try them on first and assumed store would honor the online price if I showed it to them, like other stores do. Went out of my way to go there, found the jeans, tried them on, and tried to buy them at sale price, but cashier said that was only for online orders. Tried to reason with her briefly, but to no avail. Tried to call customer service there, but no one answered. Disappointed in JC Penney--if someone knows the sale price and comes all the way to the store to get something, they should honor that price.

Wrong hours on google. They close at 7pm on a Thursday in mid-January. Good sales and good products.
