I would not recommend taking your pets to this place. I took my dog there after she ate something to have her examined. The vet was very rude he barely looked at her and then told me she had a lump and it's probably cancer because she was 9. I asked if there was any way to do bloodwork or something to find out. He said no they don't have the equipment there. I ended up paying and he sent me home with no answers and a can of dog food and some kind of medication my dog was to take after she ate. I gave her the medication the next day and she had a reaction to it her eyes were swollen shut and she was lethargic completely out of it. I ended up taking her to another vet having all the tests done. The lump turned out to be a fatty tumor benign which the new vet quickly put me at ease about and she passed whatever she ate. He also told me the other vet should have never given her that medication. It was a terrible experience but I think it's more the lack of empathy from the vet. It seems to me if you are going to be in that profession that's the first thing you should have. Will never go here again. Save your money go somewhere else.

Where should I begin, we'll my male cat is a rescue cat , I found him in my garage about 4 months ago he was bleeding from his neck and back areas, I think he might of been attacked by coyotes. So it being on a weekend I took him to vetco, they were able to see him and treat him , weight him etc. Being he was an aggressive cat . So the wounds healed around the neck area but the wound on his upper back would heal and my cat would scratch it and make it bleed. So I had brought him here to the west highland vet hospital only because they do walk ins. , worst experience, the short asian so called veterinarian came in and ask what do I need him for. I said my cat needs looking at. I explained to him that he has a red patch looking wound and he is aggressive due to probably of the pain. He saw my cat thru his carrier and said if the treatment don't work he doesn't know what else he can do for him , as if my cat was on his death bed !!! And he said my cat being aggressive he wouldn't be able to treat him. I told him that vetco was able to treat him with no problems and this short asian man straight up told me to my face that I should of taken him there then. I told him we'll this is a vet hospital and shouldn't you and your staff be trained on how to handle pets. Especially those who are complicated!! And why do you have to be so darn rude !!! He walked out , Then this lady came in told me the price for two shots and a flea & tick treatment. Then she left and came back to tell me they don't have the antibiotic shot they only have it for dogs, I said oh all of a sudden you don't have it !!! And to top it off a friend of mine took her German Shepherd dog to be check about a month ago because she was bleeding, from her vagina area, but she wasn't in heat , and the asian man said she would need to have an xray and they don't have a big enough machine for xray they sent her off to see another vet hospital . And it turns out her dog had pyometra and needed to have surgery. Now this asian so called vet knew what was wrong with my friends dog but didn't want to treat her not alone due the surgery. I know this vet doesn't like to handle complicated situations with pets . And those who do he sends them off to see another vet. This asian man is rude, does not have compassion towards animals, and especially his staff, they look lost and confused . And so unprofessional. I DONT recommend this hospital, take your pet else where. The hospital I do recommend are Arrowview hospital san bernardino. On highland ave. Loma linda animal hospital san bernardino on waterman Ave There very reasonable on price and the wait is kinda long bur so worth it...

This is the best place for all your pet needs.. Great service. They make it very easy and not complicated like other places do.. they are not the cheapest nor the highest pricing..... pricing is very fair. I recommend this to anyone.

Do not take your french bulldogs here, doctor never wants to help them he will send you away and say rude comments that these dogs have alot problems , we know this so i am not bring them for you to lecture me i bring them for you to give them something to help them, all want to do is give shots never there for the pets simple procedure, he is not that cheap neither the other vet before at least will give them something for pain this one just said there nothing i can give for for them and just said its a spinal cord problem and he will tell you how expensive is going to be not giving something in the mean while to help the pet, dont think he cares about pets, plus you cant understand anything he said the girls are the ones that need to explain, he should not even be a vet, never again i will take my pets there rather pay a little more for nicer vet and office for them to help my pets, he dont understand these pets are like family to some of us, i could imagine how cold he is to his family

First time and loved it. We all worry for the care of our animals because they are family......but Hands down to this place......Staff was very professional and very nice. The Vetenarian was polite and right away knew what was wrong with my furbaby. His expertise and knowledge is on point. My furbaby is feeling alot better and doing well. Thank you so much West Highland Dog & Cat Hospital. Would definitely recommend this place.
