I called Von on 10/09/23 with an issue I was having with my 74 Dart. He took the time to talk with me on the phone and told me to bring it in to see what he could do. I took it to him the next morning, he solved the problem and I was on my way back home! His grandson was working with him, and both were a pleasure to do business with!I will definitely be back!

He is the flakiest person I've dealt with in a long time!!! I was trying to get my transmission done by him and he dragged it out over 4 weeks. It was one excuse after another. If he replies it's usually 2 or 3 days later and just kept stringing me along. And then he just eventually stopped replying all together. If he didn't want to do it I wish he would have just told me but he kept saying the parts are taking longer to get than expected, or I'll get a hold of my parts guy tomorrow, or the next day, or next week, or I'm only working half days... He might be good at what he does? I have no idea. But he definitely is not on any kind of timeline. Feels like he just wants to retire... I ended up taking it to Benson's Transmission in Bloomington and they got it done in 4 days and our ultra communicative!!!

Specializes in American and high end vehicles. Brought in my 2006 Silverado 5.3 with a transmission gone out. Had me in and out within three days. I'm overall satisfied with the details and scope of Vons work. He saved my old parts to show how bad my internal pieces were. He even offered to service the transfer case since it was the best time. Vons work is detailed and the cleanliness of his shop proved to me that this man is organized and knows his stuff.... thank you Vons transmission.

I’ve been working for my papa for a while now and it’s probably the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve been working and learning the ropes and i have the most fun doing what I do. I would definitely recommend vons transmissions. Customer service is excellent and he treats everyone with respect. And I do as well.
