I worked at this daycare 25 years ago. The experience was so awful that I quit after only two weeks. I've never done anything like that before or since. It was pure chaos with the kids running the show. The administration was no help. They hid in the office and only intervened when there was no choice. I've worked in education for 20 years. I have a degree in Childhood Education. I've worked in average daycares, in chain daycares, and in amazing daycares, but I've never worked in a daycare that left me horrified at how things were run until this one. I truly hope they pulled it together and completely turned things around for the sake of the children.

Looking back, when I was about 4 or 5, I REALLY loved coming here!! I went back for a short amount of time and sadly, most of the teachers and staff were gone. There was about two staff members that were still there working hard, and never giving up!! Your child will ADORE this place!!! Great staff, really clean, fun, and did I mention the snacks and rewards are awesome too?? Shout out to team 2010-2013!!!Alyssa K. Macias

All five of my children attended Teddy Bear Tymes Childcare Center and all five received excellent care. My youngest child has autism and the staff worked really hard with him to ensure both his academic and social needs were met. All five of my children gained a solid academic foundation at the center and all went on to receive high grades in public school. Teddy Bear Tymes works to individualize learning for all students and they plan lessons and activities for all age levels that support the growth and development of children. My children felt loved, nurtured and part of a larger family while at the center and my oldest children always return to show their teachers what they have achieved. The center participates in the food program and the kids are offered healthy, but great tasting options that I as a parent enjoyed not having to make. I can’t say enough great things about Teddy Bear Tymes, if you are thinking about enrolling, I highly encourage it. They offer a county employee discount that I benefited from.

I am a graduate of Teddy Bear Tymes Child Care Center. Personally, this school did an amazing job at preparing me for the next level of education. I was always top of my class because I learned the foundational skills I needed to be successful. I am going to be graduating from San Diego State in May 2020 and as of right now I have a current GPA of 3.79. In addition, I have been accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for Graduate School. I owe it all to the teachers and staff at Teddy Bear Tymes who still to this day support me and check in on me. I am forever grateful to have gone to TBT and I can’t wait to send my future children there.

We've had children at this daycare for over 6 years. Overall we've been very satisfied with the care, attention and education they've received. They are inclusive and welcoming of children with disabilities and differences and worked well with my child on a daily to make sure her IFSP needs were met. I recommend TBT to all of my friends & family.

I am so happy with Teddy Bear Tymes pre-school. I have two daughters that have attended the school. Both started when they were infants. They have received such great care, each one of the teachers have been so good to them and are so loving. By the time my oldest daughter graduated, she was reading and doing basic math and right now my two year old is counting in both English and Spanish. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Five stars all around.

I called Teddy Bear Tymes on three or four separate occasions throughout a span of one year. Either I got no answer or when they did answer they would place me on hold and never come back to the phone. Lol when I finally got ahold of someone they did not seem very knowledgeable. I eventually walked in. They're pretty pricey and offered no type of discounts for county employees. I believe I was quoted $200 per child per week. Which totaled $1,600 a month which I thought was outrageous!

All five of my children attended Teddy Bear Tymes Childcare Center and I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. All five of my kids went on to get good grades in school, something I definitely attribute to the solid foundation both academically and socially they received at Teddy Bear Tymes. The staff is knowledgeable and provides a top knotch early education program that includes arts,sciences and the foundational pieces necessary for success at the next level. Contrary to one of the earlier reviews, I found the staff at Teddy Bear Tymes willing and able to work with a students of special needs. My youngest has autism and the center helped us get a diagnosis, worked through his behavior and academic challenges and provided us with the support we needed to help him be successful academically and socially. The center participates in the food program and provides meals to the students that are not only healthy, but delicious. My kids looked forward to each meal and were upset if we arrived after breakfast was over. I highly recommend Teddy Bear Tymes to any parent who wants their child to be loved, nurtured and academically challenged.

I have nothing good to say about this school! It’s so dirty and the Directors are doing the bare minimum to keep their license! School is very dirty and they will not accommodate your needs! For example, my son broke his collarbone but was cleared from the doctor to be able to return but can not participate in outdoor activities such as water play, slides, swings etc. So I asked if he could sit in the office or another class while his class played outside and he could return to class when they returned inside. Instead of making the proper accommodations, I was told “We don’t have enough staff to just follow him around all day” which were the directors LINDA’s exact words! So if your child has a normal child accident and needs to be watched carfully then don’t count on this place.

This place turned out to be a huge disappointment. There is no consistency with the staff, they have a high turnover with all their employees and there is too much change for a child who is on a schedule. I was called at least 2-3 times a week to pick up my child for situations a trained professional should be able to take care of. Yes they have a a lot of art everywhere and they sell a good pitch but over all my children did not benefit from this place. They have a lot of activities and a lot of children but not enough staff. I noticed my children began to pick up horrible habits that they did not have before. I would not recommend anyone to this place who works 40 hours a week and needs stability with their job. I would also look up their history on complaints from other parents with licensing. Over all a horrible experience. If you care for your children and your job this place is a horrible choice. I also wanted to mention that at times I had to call and make sure my children were being fed properly and noticed that they would sometimes be starving when I would pick them up after work. On several occasions I was told that they did not have enough food for seconds or thirds for the children if they wanted more. My children did lose weight at this childcare compared to being in a home daycare. I do not recommend this place at all.
