My parents were in their 60s when they started taking both cars to these thief. I am a real car guy and have always done my own repairs and upgrades to the engine and suspension and interior. My Mother would bring the car home after being diagnosed and then repaired which 8 out of 10 times was over a thousand dollars a pop for things I kept.telling them weren't necessary. My Father brought in their luxury sedan with a minor brake issue which turned into Pride Auto recommending the entire braking system be replaced and wound up costing over $2k for something that didn't need replacing. I told my Father it just needed new rotars and pads along with a system flush and to go from DOT3 to DOT4 and I even explained the the difference between the two fluids is that DOT4 has a higher liquid boiling point then DOT3 and won't absorb as much water. My parents brought in my car without my knowing it to have front ball joints w/ control arms put on it and they had it for 2 days in a real shop with a lift and pneumatic tools. They charged us $2800 to replace all 8 control arms stating that all of the bushings were bad which isn't unheard of but it's the cost of each control arm that was 3 times the price you can find the exact same part for all over the internet which I have and purchased to replace 2 that I broke running over a center divide on accident. It took me a couple of hours with hand tools to replace the top two and minutes to replace the bottom ones since they had to be partially disconnected to get the upper arms out. The original estimate after they looked at the car was $108 total price when they picked it up was almost $2800. Labor quoted in the revised estimate was $500 and went up to $600 on the invoice. At $100 or $125 an hour using a lift and power tools it would take half the time it took me which one side took me 3 hours and if I did both sides 6 hours at the most considering the second side always goes faster after learning a better way from the first one you do.after rounding up generously if I did all the work it is a $1400 job. The professional mechanics shop using a lift and air tools charged $2800 more then twice what a backyard mechanic did it for.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Recently charged my aunt $12,000 and she still had to tow it out of there!! They wanted her to pay more for "something else they found" so she decided to just take it home. For $12,000, NO ONE should have to tow their vehicle back home.

Have been in a few times. Never had an issue and never felt like they were upselling or being shady. Would certainly return.

a second opinion on everything. Son took 4 runner to have them (Pride Automotive) diagnose the miss he was having. They told him it had low compression on cylinder 4 they did not check any of the others. Then said I could be upwards of three thousand dollars to fix. I stopped by his house a couple weeks later. I thought I would just look at it, he opend the hood and not one finger print on the dusty dirty engine. So we took it to another mechanic for second opinion. It needed plugs and wires. $200 parts and labor. Second mechanic tested compression on all six cylinders as well, and said they were good.

My family has been taking our cars to pride Automotive since 1972 or maybe even earlier! My Grandfather brought all his Fords to Pride Automotive and my mother carried on the tradition and so have I. The utmost integrity is what you will get when you bring your cars here!! Hands down the BEST service!
