Yep as SOON as you walk up, I MEAN as SOON as you WALK up to the CASHIER let them KNOW that you DON'T WANT the GUARANTEED WARRANTY!! If you DON'T tell them THEY'RE going to TAG on more charges.. SOMETHING I had to LEARN the HARD way. So yes there's GOING to be a CORE charge for some of the PARTS. COMPLETELY up to YOU if you TAKE it back... The NICKEL-AND-DIME it's like you got to be TRICKY if you don't want to PAY for the full price... IT WAS MY FIRST TIME THERE BUT YOU KNOW, I learned some things. Try to get there as early as possible because if you're there near the time they're closing they will not tell you oh it's about it's about time you should stop already because we're going to be closing and they will turn off all the cashiers so no one's going to be able to help you out if you just you know they will not let you know they're closing the cash registers... So I had to have this gave me a break and let me hide my goods till the next morning. Anyways good luck ? wait wait wait wait wait I got to say I got to say I had fun yes it was dead of Summer and I was sweating buckets but I had fun.. it's much cooler now I'll be going back.

Great place but they SCAM you and sell you warranty without asking you even tho it’s optional but I didn’t know until I noticed on my return and they just deny the fact that they don’t even ask you

$40 for a switch on 23 year old car. New part cost $45 at dealership and $35 online with a warranty. Used to make sense to buy parts here but it's ridiculously expensive now. Buying online now.

Lately this place sucks, prices went up through the roof, not only that but they charge you for every little thing. Need a starter, be ready to pay for the solenoid. Need a manual transmission, be prepared to pay for the stick shift, clutch actuator, fork and push bearing. $11 for a small electric relay, not only that but they have a security guard with a metal detector in case a bolt or a nut fell in your pocket. Entrance is $3 must be for the soap and water you use washing your hands. Think twice before going.

--BUYER BEWARE--They charge too much to be asking to pull your own parts. Only worth it if you need an emgine or trans.Wants to charge 120.00 for 4 electrical pigtails and a seat if seat switches. They charge the "optional" guarantee fee automatically without asking or saying anything. They harass customers and tear apart peoples tool boxes on the way out.First and Last time using pick a part !Don't do it. I advise to buy new for smaller parts.

Been going to this pick a part for the past 15 years or so. Its not what it used to be. The prices have gone up a lot. The customer service is not good. Everyone acted bothered to be working. They charge you to use the carts($50 deposit .. free for the first 30 minutes and then $10 for 10 minutes or something similar). They charged for insurance without asking like others have said.

I bought some needed parts from them, that was good. But when checking out, they automatically added "warranty" to my purchase. I didn't see it on the receipt until after I paid and wondered why the total was so high. It added about 20% to the cost. I told them I didn't want that "warranty", and to refund my money. They made some excuse about the purchase was "already in their system", and I had to wait until the next day to get it. I argued with them, they were unrelenting, and I eventually left in frustration. This was deceptive pricing to increase their profit, as I'm sure they're counting on most people not bothering to come back for their refund, or they'll give another excuse for why they can't refund their added but unwanted "warranty". I am tempted to report them to BBB. In my case, they did not have another part like mine in the whole yard, so there would have been no way for them to honor the warranty, except with a full refund.

On 11/04/22 at 10:30am I went to the junkyard to find parts for my project. I didn't find anything so as I was exiting a wanna be Cop Filipino that was security and a younger Hispanic guy told me if I didn't buy nothing they have to check me with a metal detector wand. After they checked my bag which it's fine but they wanted to strip search me like some criminal I was instantly embarrassed and irritated that at a junkyard I would be treated like we are in N*** Germany. I told them show me were in your policy it says you can physically violate my rights and strip search me it is disgusting to be treated like some second class citizens I'm a hard working American And not I nor anyone deserves to be treated like this. I told them to call the cops if they thought I had anything. I wish they would've there for proving how unjust and unprofessional this pair of idiots were. And I would have a police report to sue them. These tactics are a ticking time bomb they are a liability and that's security along with that other guy should be retrained or removed immediately. They are just creaming for a huge lawsuit. They even went so far as to say if I didn't comply I would be banned from pick a part how ridiculous and disgusting that is.

I went to buy an AC compressor that I removed from a Chevy Cruze and the woman wanted $82.17 for it. I can literally buy that part on eBay used and guaranteed to work for like $85. When I asked her why it was so much she said "that's the price. Everything goes up. $82.17" I purchased this same part one year ago from a different LKQ junkyard and it was $40. Inflation has not gone up THAT much to completely double the price. They need to reevaluate their prices. Especially since you're the one doing all the labor.

Very horrible customer service. Be prepared to be treated like s*** early in the morning. It's been a while since my husband and I've gone to this place they made some changes that we weren't aware of and as we approached the window the lady was very rude. We asked couple of questions and the lady was very rude about it stating "read the signs that's why we have them all over" like yes I get it but it takes nothing to be nice and answer our questions in a nice way.
