Caring people work here. They skipped their lunch break and helped me bring in my dying dog. Thank you!

I came here to get a feral female cat spayed very early in the morning at around 7:00 AM today on Friday with my mother. I was the first walk in and I was told by the larger miss with glasses from the front office that they would receive me at 8:30 AM. She even asked me when I first arrived if I had an appointment for the stray, which is strange because the flyer provided by them states that an appointment must be made for cats not considered feral. I sat there and waited until she let me in the building. She even directed me to go by call center area so that they would receive the cat. They let me in the building just for me to be told by a different employee from the call center area that they could not take in the feral because they couldn't on Fridays. I was completely unaware of this until last minute which is greatly irresponsible. This information is not even mentioned on the website. My mother went to speak to that rude miss regarding how we've waited and we weren't told until last minute. All she said was that she still told us regarding taking in the stray which is a lie and that there was only 2 positions available for spaying/neutering ferals and that they were taken. That is another lie when I was the only person that came in with a trap at that hour. I wouldn't have known that ferals weren't taken in on Fridays if it weren't for another older miss from the call center. The flyer itself even says availability from Monday to Friday. Clearly it needs to be up to date and that lady from the front office should look for a job she actually enjoys.
Edit: The front office employee did not tell me at all. I was told by a different employee about whether they can take the stray in. I am aware that the hospital does not open until later, I came early in the morning to be the first walk in. What could have prevented this wasted time was to ask the staff, and let me know that they could not receive me at 8:30 instead of wasting both the employees and the customers time. Instead she let me in for no reason other than to just let me in to ask another staff member regarding if they could take the stray. I appreciate the call center employee that did let me know when I came in, not the person who let me in the building and never advised that they couldn't take the stray in at 8:30
I never said that the call center employee did not let me know regarding taking in the stray. I meant that the front office lady did not let me know which I assume she didn't check with the surgical staff. Additionally, while the flyer and website does say subject to availability, what I was told is that they couldn't because they don't take them in on Fridays. The website and flyer should say Monday - Thursday if that was the case. The fact that availability is less likely on Fridays is not on flyer or website.

It’s terrible. They make appointments only once a month on the first of the month. I stood in line 3 1/2 hours outside in the heat along with a lot of other people just to make an apt. The waiting room was empty and they still wouldn’t let folks inside. Once inside only one person was taking appointments even though there were other staff. The 1 star is for the low cost.

Overall great experience. Staff was friendly and and efficient. I took my 16 week kitten here to be spayed. Check in is at 7:30 am. Many people (including myself) came earlier and the gates didn’t open, so keep in mind you may have to park or wait outside of the gates. Please be mindful and turn on your hazard lights if you’re going to park in the middle of the streets/curb (safer if you park elsewhere and arrive at 7:30). Staff are quick in checking people in so don’t stress about having to be the first in line or arriving hours before open time.
Some tips:
-Prices for services are the least expensive here
-You would need to schedule appointment way in advance (at least a month)
-Putting on my kitten’s e collar/cone was difficult when we got home. If I could do it over again, I would bring the e collar / cone with me and ask staff if they can put it on while my kitten is under anesthesia
I posted a photo of my invoice. I paid for complete lab work up, spay services, rabies vaccine, frontline plus flea/tick treatment, IV catheter IV fluids, and post op pain meds. Total came out to $272.50 .
Of note, there are financial assistance available. I will attach a photo of that too. Hope this helps!

I had to put my fur baby down here. I was completely crushed and broken going through with this, but I had no choice. During such a sensitive time, their employees were condescending and disrespectful. There was one employee in particular, pink stripes in her hair with the worst condescending attitude.
I was originally told by a different employee over the phone when making the appointment, to leave my dog in the car since he was super reactive towards other dogs.
After checking in and filling out paperwork, the pink hair b told me to have a seat.
I tried to tell her that my baby was in the car and If i could possibly wait outside so that I could have just a few more minutes in his life. Just a few more minutes. Before I could even explain myself. In front of a room full of people. She cuts me off and says out loud, "yeah. Well you can still wait. You can wait until I'm done".
Excuse me?! I was never going to say I couldn't wait. I just wanted to spend some extra time with my best friend.
I was shocked and taken back by her response. I was already filled with so many emotions and this threw me off the edge. I couldn't even think of an appropriate response because all I could think about .... Was how that 1k-1.7k aggravated assault charges didn't seem so bad in that moment.
I sucked up my emotions. And sat down.
During such a sensitive and emotional time, she had the audacity to respond like this. And it didn't stop there. She continued the entire visit like this, until finally I asked for someone else to help me because she was going to completely throw me over.
If this employee doesn't receive the proper customer service training. One day. She'll meet her match.

We had to euthanize our family dog of 18 years. They were very kind and helpful with the process. The staff is very professional and compassionate. Thank you Humane Society-San Bernardino for helping us say goodbye to a loved member of the family.

The people who help you with the dogs inside are very kind and nice. But unfortunately the people who work at the desk (lobby) are not kind at all, they are rude, they respond with a bad attitude, they make faces, especially a Latina who speaks Spanish, with curly hair.

This place really sucks. They make you call for appointment and don’t even answer phone lines. Then they make you come in as a walk in and don’t even take you in not even if you come before the time they tell you to go. If I could rate this place with a zero I would. Every staff member tells you something different.
