My husband and I planned a trip from Big Bear to Solvang on 6/27/21. We prefer to get Chevron gas so we can use our Safeway reward points and Chevron has good quality gas. Using the internet, we noticed the prices in Big Bear and down the mountain were pretty high, so we searched for Chevron stations in San Bernardino close to Hwy 210. We found BJ Oil was conveniently located at 847 W. Highland Ave and according to the internet, the price was $4.40 per gallon for regular; other prices in this area were $4.59 and $4.69. When we arrived at the station the price on the sign indicated $4.49 for regular and $4.69 for mid grade. But at the pump, the price for regular was $4.69. The pump also did not allow us to use our Safeway rewards. We needed the gas so we filled the tank then went in to speak to the attendant. My husband explained the price misrepresentation and asked him to refund us 20 cents per gallon; the attendant said this station is like the Price is Right and you have to guess the price. When my husband asked what he was going to do about this discrepancy the attendant said he would look into it in a rude and unprofessional tone. So he basically did nothing to remedy the situation. When we looked at the receipt we found that there was no price per gallon or total gallons sold listed. It basically just listed the credit card information. We have never gotten a receipt from a Chevron station that did not list the price per gallon and total gallons sold. Needless to say, BJ Oil Chevron station is a poor representation of Chevron gas stations.

I wish I could give this zero starts. I tried two machines. One of them wouldn't take my card and the other wasn't even on. It says it's open to go inside but the dude locked the door. He is pretending not to see me. Idk if he is racist or something or jus lazy! This is not ok. I tried the door twice. Chevron needs to get better employees. This guy was white with white facial hair. He had a beard and a mustache. He was wearing a cap and that's how he was trying to cover his face so he pretended not to see me. He was chewing something. He should honestly get fired if he doesn't want to work. There are other people that would gladly take his job.
