Angela and the Manager Barbara at this store were friendly and courteous ! They Politely assisted me and went the extra mile to ensure my shopping needs were met ! In short they made my experience shopping here a very pleasant one! Very customer centric, helpful and kind! A kind of service I haven’t seen in such a long time! Costumer service has changed so much in this day and age everywhere but here I truly seen that great customer service still does exist today ! Was like stepping into time capsule and going back in time in the good old days when customers were treated like they mattered! They made me feel like family ! For this reason, Big 5 highland will always be my go to store! Thank you so much for making my shopping experience a great one Angela and Barbara ! Happy Holidays!

Last time I came was pre Covid19 and the experience was awful, guess they got new management since and it's really turned around. The manager Daniel, was super helpful at helping us find cleats and a bat for my little one, and he took his time with us since the store wasn't too busy. Then I saw him literally tie an elderly man's tennis shoe when he was having trouble. Great service and great product selection, I'll definitely be back.

Poor customer service. Was “helped” by a guy name Daniel. First didn’t listen to a word I said when attempted to return a product that didn’t work at all. They didn’t attempt to make the situation right. Straight lazy!!!

Overpriced sporting goods and staff that know nothing about sports or sports products because they’ve never splayed sports and they are not athletes or even athletic people at all.

I went for a multi tool like a classic swiss army knife. There was not much variety. I was expecting more from Big 5. Eventually I went to a gun store like Turners for the blade and multi tool.

Worst place to come and shop for anything related to sports. They have a very small inventory. The worst thing here I would say is the customer service, it is HORRIBLE. Staff is extremely unprofessional as well, now I see why this store in particular is going down.

Bought a $60 softball bat for my daughter, got a size 32 instead of 33. Went to exchange it within a week but didn't have receipt, they wouldn't do it even though bat was unused. Spoke with Daniel the manager and said I needed to go through the factory warranty, I was taken back. Daniel pointed at a bat policy, I asked why customers aren't told about the policy when they buy these items and he said they don't, just pointed to a sign. I've been going to this Big 5 since I myself played baseball in little league, have always went to that location to buy everything and they can't exchange a new bat for another new bat, $60 value. Sucks for sure. It's not a $300 bat, it's a $60 bat. Store is going downhill hiring employees with poor customer service that don't look like they want to be there, don't greet customers walking in, don't greet customers shopping. I'm going to try other sporting good stores moving forward, Big 5 lost my business. There were 4 workers standing around at cashier stand socializing, at same time customers are shopping. Big Leadership opportunity here from manager Daniel, customer service is lacking here.

Customer service was great ?. The rep in the shoes area help my son find some shoes and did it with a pleasure! Happy to see even in the location of this big 5, customer service has not been lost.
