I had an unfortunate experience today, I called around the time they open to see if I could bring in my German Shepard who was lethargic/not eating and panting , I was told by the female who answered the phone that I can go ahead and drop him off, they would check him out sometime today and call us back. I had to wait for a ride since I could not get my dog into my 2 door. when I came in I was told that no appt was made and they were completely booked, today, that they can get him in tomorrow. I explained that my dog looks like he may not have tomorrow and then was told to take him to urgent care or ER. I truly felt hopeless at that point and had to look up where to take him. I didn't not feel the front desk female was empathetic at all to our situation. I wish you guys can at the least direct us to the nearest urgent care or Vet ER, sometimes that alone is helpful. And makes us feel like you care.

Not only did I waste money I wasted my time and they never bothered to apologize for their negligence in my opinion. Seek care where they care.

I took my 5.5 week old lovebird in for a check and health certificate. When I scheduled the appointment I clearly repeated over and over that the MAIN reason for the veterinarian appointment was so that I can get a health certificate to transport my baby love bird back-and-forth out of the country. The appointment was a few weeks out because they are busy but the day before the appointment I received a confirmation call and I reiterated that I would be at the appointment for a health certificate. Today was the appointment, I signed in and told them I'm here for the check up and health certificate, I said it 3 times in the office while waiting for the doctor. They take my baby bird in the back and a few minutes later charge me $45 and tell me they don't do health certificates. They then try to give me places that do the health checks. After apologizing repeatedly for a mistake THEY MADE they still charge the $45!! I would not have kept the appointment for a regular check up, any vet can do that, I needed the certificate. Now I have to wait a few more weeks to try and get an appointment at another vet. This place is so overbooked, understaffed and incompetent it's pathetic. Huge waste of my time and money. Yes, I wish I didn't give them my hard earned money but I didn't want to cause a scene and end up in YouTube.

I moved out of the area...and couldn't find an acceptable replacement, so I still drive two cats and two dogs back to Animal Care Wellness Center. They are worth the drive. On top of being excellent in medicine, the staff are all very personable and they get to know the families that they work with. Due to Covid, it appears they're struggling to staff the hospital as full as they used to, but I feel like they're doing their best, and I try to remain patient, because good care is worth it. My cats and dogs have been going to this facility for over 20yrs, now.

They don't return calls, why have an answering machine to take messages if you're not going to call potential customers back? Receptionist is rude and condescending, please just answer the question asked, you are deterring potential customers.

Extremely poor service! The front help girl Celeste is incompetent, rude, and extremely uneducated reGarding CDC and CVMA ( California veterinary association guidelines as it relates to infectious disease. The vet tech with purple also displayed poor customer service skills as well poor communication skills. I haven't seen Dr DCarlo the last 4 times my lab has had blood work. I paid over 350.00 just for labs and a physical exam which I never spoke to a vet just the vet techs who Services are overpriced and the animal care at this facility is substandard. Please do not bring your pet to this high priced facility. They Will gouge you for money... VERY EXPENSIVE a complete rip off. Use Northdide, even the emergency vet in Grand Terrace is better priced and actually provides excellent services If your animals are sick. STAY AWAY FROM Animal care wellness.

I can't say they didn't help with my dog but I can't say they did either. What I can say is they made sure to maximized the amount of money I spent.

If I could 0 stars I would that's exactly what they deserve I do not recommend this place to anyone I know. I know a lot of rescues but would never recommend this place. I called for an appt stating my cat wasn't feeling well and they asked for my credit card information to "hold" the appt ( I was naive enough to give my information thru the phone and they indeed charged you upfront) I didn't notice until few days later. Days went by and my cat started to get better. Great! So I called 24hrs before the appt and let them know my cat is better and I canceled my appt. I a bit over 24hrs in ADVANCE I called to cancel it was NOT a last minute yet they charged my credit card $47 for a consultation that I didn't need to and now they refuse to send my money back. I gave a notice with enough time so they could fill my spot with another appt so of course they waste no time they do that and stole my money as well. Honestly which kind of business that? They didn't mentioned on the phone that they were going to charge my card in advance neither mentioned that even you need to cancel your appt with 24hrs or longer they still won't give your money back. This is ridiculous and dishonest and I never came across any vet who does that. So yes I was stolen of $47 from my bank account by this shady veterinarian who refused at all cost to give my money back. So I ended up with no appt and not my $47. So yes I'm spreading to all my friends from several rescues and beware this people in this place are dishonest so please don't take your pet here and stay away from this shady location!!!

I was taking my dog to banfield the customer service there was terrible, pricey visits and didn't seem to care about my dog she never liked going . A friend recommended this place to me and I love it my dog is very anxious and a bit uneasy with new people but she does good with them. They were able to break that barrier with her. On top of that the price is reasonable. I will be staying with them for a long time. Steven is a great employee he cares about the animals so much! Very happy customer and doggo!

I want to thank Animal Care Wellness for taking such wonderful care of our babies. Dr. DiCarlo and the entire staff always go above and beyond to take excellent care of our 2 dogs. They always make sure our dogs get the best care, they take the time to answer all of our questions and make sure we are understand the treatment and procedures. We are thankful to have found such a wonderful and loving location.

I walked in with my wife's cat, she had an abscess wound, although she was healthy and in good condition otherwise. To start with, they charged me $80 for just shaving a tiny patch and taking a look at it; then they presented me with an ~$880 estimate for a surgical procedure to cure the wound, meds, etc.; when I refused to proceed right there and right then because I wanted a second opinion, I was forced to sign an Against Medical Advice Form, in order to get the animal back. To top it off, I got threatened to get denounced to some kind of animal society if they didn't know of the procedure having been performed, there or somewhere else, in less than 24 hrs. I was just speechless.

We just moved into a 2 story house and our dogs are not familiar with the stairs (or how to use them). While we do our best to keep them away, my older large dog got up and couldn't get down, so instead she took a leap and ended up falling the rest of the way down; a few days later she wasn't putting weight on her back leg. Without having a regular vet, I did a Yelp search and found Animal Care Wellness Center. They had good reviews and I liked that they take appointments. I called them around 10am and they were able to book me for 11:45am the same day! To be honest, I was a little skeptical when I pulled up to the rundown building, but was immediately put at ease when I walked in. Their lobby is very clean and welcoming, their pricing is reasonable and their staff are delightful! While I did end up sitting for almost an hour before being seen, and another hour waiting for my dog's exam and X-rays, I appreciated that they keep me informed the entire time and notified me of plans for treatment before doing any of them. Their office isn't too close to my house but it is definitely somewhere I will return to for future animal care. Thank you Animal Care, our Lyla girl has been like a happy puppy since visiting you and getting the treatment she needed to start feeling better!
