I adopted a puppy from the Devore animal shelter and she was sent here to be spayed the coming Monday. The paperwork I was given stated she would need to be picked up between 4-5 pm the day of surgery. I left work at 3:45 and drove straight to the clinic, called 3 times on the drive over to get an update but the phone was picked up and promptly hung up. Upon my arrival (4:18) I was informed that my puppy had not been operated on yet as "the shelter doesn't check with us, and we already had a lot of surgeries scheduled". My 9 week old puppy sat in a kennel for almost 10 hours with no food or water because of poor communication. I obviously felt very apprehensive to leave her there any longer as her surgery would be rushed in order to "not have to work a 12 hour day" as the receptionist put it, but when I reached out to the shelter they said legally I couldn't take her unless she has been altered. I told the receptionist I would wait in the area (I live 35 mins away) and she said she would call me as soon as she was awake. Instead, she called my boyfriend and said she "couldn't get ahold of me" when I had never received a call (she wasn't ready for pickup until after 6:30). I've adopted multiple dogs from this shelter in my lifetime and have never had such a disappointing and concerning experience. I work 12 hour shifts regularly and understand burn out, but staff is extremely unfriendly and unwilling to help.

The initial visit was a consultation and a wellness visit and it ended with me euthanizing my dog because he wouldn't gain weight. (Mystery illness) I couldn't afford to pay 2000+ $ they were charging for two separate blood tests for my dog and an X-ray. Yes I was given an options to choose from the humane society. However after feeling manipulated and swayed I am now left without my precious dog. He was my legal emotional support dog and we are left shattered. It was 609$ to kill my dog and told me that it was the right decision. His ashes will make great decor in my room. 12:35pm was his time of death at 4 years old. 3-22-24.

Even after moving...we still bring our fur kids here. They're patient, caring, knowledgeable, & simply the best. You can't find better. Dr. DiCarlo hires the best staff & has high expectations of them. They approach all pets like they are their own.

My dog was drinking urinating lot. I paid $300 for blood test. Was told maybe this maybe that. And needed another $450 blood test. I got 2nd opinion. New vet looked at tests told me $100 urine test. It came back as Cushing's disease. He gave me Vetoryl. After 3 days her drinking and urinating back to normal. I saved at least $450. Probably lot more.

I drive all the way from San Diego for vet care. Dr. D has been my dog Bo's veterinarian since he was a puppy. I've tried establishing his care with other vets (3 times) but no on compares to Dr. D. Honestly ACWC has ruined me for any her vet at this point. So, now I drive to San Bernardino every few months to have Bo's checkup with Dr. D. Bo is a senior dog now (almost 17) and he's in excellent health. He has been to Dr. D for his neuter, dentals, shots, bloodwork and x-rays. Because of his age he was put on heart medication by an emergency vet and he just wasn't doing well. I took him to Dr. D and not only did he he find an abscessed tooth but he modified his heart meds. Bo is like a new dog now, I can't tell you how grateful I am to Dr. D and ACWC for all that they've done for my boy. People come over and they're like "Bo is still alive?" And I'm like yes, he's alive and thriving! Thank you Dr. D and ACWC you've given me almost 2 decades with my best friend, forever grateful.

I'm only giving one star because the staff was very nice and welcoming but after taking my poor pawlie to another vet I was told the animal wellness center was negligent in the care my dog received ,Why wasn't she giving an iv and or fluids? Why wasn't there any blood work done . She was so dehydrated when I brought her to you a iv should have been the first thing you did . But no you charged me $615 $500 just for xrays . Of course she couldn't pass the foreign object she was so dehydrated her intestines couldn't function correctly she should have already passed the barium swallow but no due to her dehydration and your negligence to give her just a simple iv. Before or even afterwards, left over barium substance was still stuck in her belly, causing issues on top of her issue. You didn't even try to save/help her. Just a money grab. Tried to send me to some overly expensive place in Ontario. Thank goodness I took her somewhere else before I was forced to pay $2400 for surgery. With iv's, fluids soft dog food and a vet that actually gives a damn my best friend is on her way to recovery. Yes I've spent $1300 in total and been thru emotional hell this week. but it was worth it to make sure she's okay. I do NOT recommend this place at all.

Staff was very caring, and offered a strong antibiotic shot if the liquid antibiotics don't work. The price was reasonable too. My cat is coming out to hang out with the family again, after 7 days on liquid antibiotics, but still not eating quite enough. May have to go for another visit!

The place is clean and there is comfortable atmosphere. The employees were polite. I took my puppy to them for puppy shots. This was quite the experience. I made an appointment after getting a quote on the cost which was $150 to $200. I thought this was high but i needed to get them. I was amazed they dont do them all at once they spread it over a 9 week period. Never had it done like that. But beware the cost will shock you. Three visits three weeks apart to a total cost of $427.25. That is including a $35.49 x 3 charge each visit ($106.47). Called a exam consultation fee . I never saw the Doctor so what consultation. $427.25 for puppy shots give me a break. I believe i will find a different Vet. I cant afford the prices here.

I had an unfortunate experience today, I called around the time they open to see if I could bring in my German Shepard who was lethargic/not eating and panting , I was told by the female who answered the phone that I can go ahead and drop him off, they would check him out sometime today and call us back. I had to wait for a ride since I could not get my dog into my 2 door. when I came in I was told that no appt was made and they were completely booked, today, that they can get him in tomorrow. I explained that my dog looks like he may not have tomorrow and then was told to take him to urgent care or ER. I truly felt hopeless at that point and had to look up where to take him. I didn't not feel the front desk female was empathetic at all to our situation. I wish you guys can at the least direct us to the nearest urgent care or Vet ER, sometimes that alone is helpful. And makes us feel like you care.

Not only did I waste money I wasted my time and they never bothered to apologize for their negligence in my opinion. Seek care where they care.

I took my 5.5 week old lovebird in for a check and health certificate. When I scheduled the appointment I clearly repeated over and over that the MAIN reason for the veterinarian appointment was so that I can get a health certificate to transport my baby love bird back-and-forth out of the country. The appointment was a few weeks out because they are busy but the day before the appointment I received a confirmation call and I reiterated that I would be at the appointment for a health certificate. Today was the appointment, I signed in and told them I'm here for the check up and health certificate, I said it 3 times in the office while waiting for the doctor. They take my baby bird in the back and a few minutes later charge me $45 and tell me they don't do health certificates. They then try to give me places that do the health checks. After apologizing repeatedly for a mistake THEY MADE they still charge the $45!! I would not have kept the appointment for a regular check up, any vet can do that, I needed the certificate. Now I have to wait a few more weeks to try and get an appointment at another vet. This place is so overbooked, understaffed and incompetent it's pathetic. Huge waste of my time and money. Yes, I wish I didn't give them my hard earned money but I didn't want to cause a scene and end up in YouTube.

I moved out of the area...and couldn't find an acceptable replacement, so I still drive two cats and two dogs back to Animal Care Wellness Center. They are worth the drive. On top of being excellent in medicine, the staff are all very personable and they get to know the families that they work with. Due to Covid, it appears they're struggling to staff the hospital as full as they used to, but I feel like they're doing their best, and I try to remain patient, because good care is worth it. My cats and dogs have been going to this facility for over 20yrs, now.

They don't return calls, why have an answering machine to take messages if you're not going to call potential customers back? Receptionist is rude and condescending, please just answer the question asked, you are deterring potential customers.
