This is the opposite of a community bank. Clueless staff, they have failed in helping my family on at least three instances.

Edgar De Luna provided outstanding service. Efficient, knowledgeable and personal. He's the "go to" guy there for sure. Great work, Edgar! Know that it's appreciated.

I walked into this bank, purchased temporary checks for my account (which they had to verify my identity to print.) I was with a business associate and I wrote her a check for an inventory purchase with one of the temporary checks. My associate did not leave the bank, she deposited the check into her Wells Fargo account. Wells Fargo then decided that the check THEY printed for me was a FORGERY. They rejected the check, causing overdraft fees for my associate, a bounced check fee and tarnishing my reputation in business. Yes. You read that right. Checks that they printed for me were deemed by the same bank that printed them, moments after printing them to be deemed forgeries. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of criminal activity happening at this branch. There should be a thorough investigation of this branch by corporate. Something very shady is going on. I will be switching banks after 15 years. Good riddance.

My experience today was great. Nothing to complain about. I needed a notary and made an appointment online. Carlos was ready when I got there. Knew exactly what he was doing to.

This location seems to have a challenge when it comes to Africa Americas, they call it "tellers choice" well it should be called "color choice" to give any special entitlement, such as to wave a money order fee or allow me to cash a check or deposit without waiting a day for any of my funds. I have been a customer over 18 years, and someone of a different persuasion or entitlement could come in with a new simple account, because of "tellers choice" was able to have a fee waived. Now ain't that special?

Had to wait in line for 20 mins to get cash - 6 bank associates standing around but only 1 person assisting customers. Could do with a little more customer service attention!

I have always had great service at this branch. Sometimes Wells Fargo's internal systems are a challenge but I found that the individuals at this branch are committed to working with you in getting anything resolved or done quickly.

If I could give minus one star I would. I have had two bad experiences with Wells Fargo Bank, both over the same issue. I am not a Wells Fargo depositor, and have no plans to become one. First, because of their illegal activity, and second, because of their absolute rudeness. I have a done some work for someone with a Wells Fargo account who has written me small checks. Usually I deposit them into my own credit union (VERY nice people!), but twice I decided to cash them. My prerogative, frankly. I endorsed the check and handed the check and my drivers license to the obsequious young woman teller. She asked for a second identification, and when I produced my current university ID, she declined it because it did not have an expiration date - clearly it did, since it was for 2016-2017 academic year. I did not wish to give her my ATM card from my credit union, as it was none of her business. Also, there was a new law enacted a few years ago, outlawing banks from requiring two forms of ID to cash a check! When I very nicely informed her of this, she totally ignored me. I was shocked, frankly. She was beyond the pale of impolite, even at that point; but it got worse! When I realized that she wasn't listening, I said "you're not even listening to me, are you?" To which this absolutely rude young woman replied, "do you want me to stop cashing your check to listen to you, or do you want your money?" I determined right then and there that Yelp was the forum for this complaint, and reading the postings of others, I see I'm not wrong. If this is the level to which this once decent bank has plunged under the current management, perhaps an in-depth overhaul is needed in order to weed out the kind of rudeness I experienced at Wells Fargo Bank. If I had ever spoken to anyone in the tone of voice that "teller," used with me in any of my service positions, I would have expected to be summarily fired. I sure wish she had been, but something tells me they are all getting away with this behavior. In future I will cash my little checks elsewhere.

They really fell down on this one!! I walked into the branch on 8/8/16 to deposit a check into my business account as I have done for years. This was a cashiers check from a Wells Fargo branch in Texas for $13,800. The teller seemed new and the transaction took a longer than the usual amount of time. A few days later, I look at the account online and notice that the money was credited in the account and then immediatly debited out. WTF? I called the 800 number (mistake). The woman took my information and gave me a reference number and I have yet to hear back on their "investigation". Tired with no response, I go into the branch and sit down with a customer service guy. We finally come to the conclusion that it was a teller error. She entered the same account number for both "to and from". Mystery solved. That was Friday 8/19. It is now end of the day 8/23 and the money is still not in my account! I have been a customer of WF since 1977. It will be extremely inconvenient but I am seriously considering pulling all of my personal and business accounts from them. How much $ on the interest are they making on these mistakes?

Completely incompetent. Completely agree with Mark B. I wanted to a simple transfer and nobody including the branch manager knew how to do it. The bank itself has ridiculous policies and the personal at the branch are completely unhelpful and ignorant.

I AM PISSSSSSSED! What a JOKE this branch is. There are so many employees and not a single one seems to be trained or knows what the hell is going on. SUCH A WASTE OF MY TIME! After depositing over 10K in a new checking account - they mistakenly transferred a portion of it to a saving account that I had there 20 years ago! Then proceeded to bounce several checks (even though I had overdraft protection) When I asked them why, they said overdraft protection is discretionary - REALLY? They told me that I had to have signed a document saying that I did not want to have overdraft protection but did not have evidence that I signed it- REALLY? (yet they still bounced the checks) Thinking that the banking monkeys (including Hanna from Northgate -that opened the account) were just in this branch - I proceeded to the San Rafael Branch to see who was swinging from the rafters inside this "banking cage" location. Much to my surprise - they were even more incompetent than zoo #1 in San Anslemo! First, Mike said he would take care of it and call me the next day (even though he knew he was not working the next day) . Then Donny, the manager called at 2 minutes to 5pm (when they close) saying he wanted to know if all my needs were met - REALLY? Then he was not working the next day when I called back. (Welcome to the carnival- one minute you see the monkey - the next minute they are gone- poof! I YANKED MY 10K out of there quicker that they could peel their next banana! So much for establishing a banking relationship WELLS FARGO- I would not even feel comfortable leaving you with a bag of peanuts (I hear monkeys like them too)

If you require great customer service, ask for William Sa. He's been a big help in several different areas...Example? He suggested I make an adjustment to my business account. We went over the paperwork and, at the time, it was too time consuming to fill out. Said I'd do it later. The following day, a large packet was delivered to my house that held the paperwork. It was filled out and noted where I was required to sign. Making my life easier. Thanks William

If banks deserved any stars, I would give this one a five. By far the friendliest bank that I have been with before (I didn't know banks were friendly before this one.). I appreciate that somewhere within the management of the company they have recognized that it actually matters how they treat people!

3.5 stars. Have only had positive experiences at this location. The location and layout are a bit odd, however, making it a potential pain to access. The folks sitting at their desks are not nearly as attentive as those at the Greenbrae location and a number of customers were quick to comment on the lack of eye contact after entry (fantastic staff at Greenbrae location if you have problems with the San Anselmo branch). Response time slower as well.
