“I went to the west coast for the first time in my life and this is the hotel my wife and I chose to stay at. After a rough 9 hour flight followed by a 2 hour drive, I arrived at my room with the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen in a hotel.Nearby activities: Pay attention to the ferry time schedules to make sure you can get back from San Francisco. Otherwise, you may be stuck with a taxi/uber”

“Beautiful, just beautiful hotel with the most attentive, responsive and respectful staff. Gorgeous location, great views of bay. Rooms are thoughtfully designed and decorated, cleanliness at its peak with sanitizing station installed everywhere. Rooms are not regular clean, but top notch clean (yes, I checked as I have an all surface touching toddler ?). Breakfast also has great selection of items and multiple coffee choices. And the highlight, wine and cheese hour and evening cookies, definitely goes with the views giving a fancy and cozy experience.Definitely recommend, and will stay surely in my next mill valley visit.”

“Nice welcome, friendly staff and motel even offers a small free breakfast. Building is somewhat hidden in bushes and trees. Rooms not really modern but functionally furnished. Perfect for a night traveling from north to south or vice versa.”

“Give Judy a raise!! Extremely helpful, patient and super attentive. Did not take even a minute before she impressed us with her wonderful customer oriented skills. The hotel itself is well maintained and great for short term stays. The breakfast was simple but plentiful. Definitely get the cookies in the evening from the front desk.”

“I had a sweet weekend getaway! I can't stop thinking about unit number 5 and those breathtaking views. I'm already counting down the days until I can come back. The hospitality is exceptional. They even allow you to use beach chairs for free and provide complimentary beach towels. You absolutely have to check out the enchanting courtyard on the property. It's a hidden gem with the most beautiful hummingbirds you've ever seen. The rooms were comfortable, beautiful, and spotless. With a short walk to the beach. I'm especially grateful for the owner of this unit. She's incredibly kind, respectful, and goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is comfortable and unforgettable. If there's any issue with the room, they are more than willing to accommodate and fix it for you. Her customer service is exceptional. I cannot wait to make this a family favorite for me and my family to return again.

Rooms: Clean, beautiful and comfortable.

Nearby activities: Hiking and city vibes

“Thank you, I loved this place back in the day and will be visiting soon

This review is twenty years old!
I used to stay there 5 days a week. When it was $50 a day, I'm sure things are changed. Reading that a burrito and a salad of forty dollars, but it is Marin County and it is Northern California's hidden gem. Do they still rip down the street signs to keep people from finding out where you are?

We do pay the sunshine tax and it looks like the rooms are a lot more expensive since 2004!”

“We had a wonderful weekend staying at the Mill Valley Inn! It's in the heart of Mill Valley's historic downtown area, walkable to restaurants, boutiques, the city park, and hiking trails. We booked a queen room with a balcony and the balcony views of Mill Valley were beautiful. The mattress wasn't the best, but with the fire going, the open balcony, the bathtub filled with hot water and bath salts, it was easy to overlook. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The included breakfast was a highlight and the included wine and cheese hour every day was lovely. We'd love to stay here again!”

“They accommodated our big family group ( incl 2 dogs) after 8pm with no reservations, and bent over backwards to get us rooms for the next night when they anticipated being completely full. All amenities and services were top-notch!
The breakfast is served in a former restaurant, with lots of comfy seating.

You will love this place.”

“This is an older property, but it is quite well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and offered excellent suggestions for touring. The bar offers a very good menu with a large variety of eats from snacks to meals - everything we tried was good. This is a great place with easy access to the Ferry to get a quick ride straight to the San Francisco waterfront. Access to main highways is easy as well. The main annoyance we had was having to pay for parking for an open, unsecured parking lot (this is a money grab by the hotel) While we would consider staying here again, the irritation of the pay for parking would be enough to make us look elsewhere.”

“Stunning view!!! This hotel was beautiful, I can't say enough! The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and kind. There is some construction around but it wasn't really noticeable at all. Parking was covered as well so that was a nice treat!

Nearby activities: There are tons of shops, restaurants, and things to do within walking distance. There are multiple ferry rides also to different places.

Walkability: Lots of walking places right along the bay!

Food & drinks: Great places for food and drinks right down the street!”

“The Courtyard by Marriott in Novato is a fantastic choice for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean, making it easy to relax and unwind after a hectic day. The service is outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. The location is also incredibly convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and the freeway, making it a great base for exploring the area. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful stay at this little hotel by the beach. Definitely recommend! There needs to be some improvement, but it's an old building as well, so it still maintained the old charms.”

“Had a lovely stay in this spacious, comfortable, clean king room. Shower and bathroom very clean. Anita was so kind and helpful. Even though it is convenient because it is close to the highway, it was very quiet. Very good value for the price.”

“Beautiful courtyard with multiple fire pits, hammocks and cozy gathering areas. Rooms are good although the doors could use a fresh coat of paint.

Rooms: A little on the small side however very clean and wonderfully soft pillows and bed.

Nearby activities: There is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. On-site dining and bar. Free breakfast. There are fire pits and furniture to lounging in the courtyard.”

“We stayed here 3 nights for a staycation for Spring Break. Yes, even pre-schoolers get Spring Break, LOL! Overall a family friendly, clean, and comfortable stay. The Lodge is a 3-level motel-style facility with lots of big rooms and covered walkways on each level. It is located on the main road in Tiburon so super convenient walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Things we liked most: 1. Two comfy queen beds - everyone slept well for 3 nights. 2. Great breakfast restaurant attached to the lodge - Tiburon Tavern (separate Yelp review pending) 3. Attentive service - my 3yo son accidentally knocked my phone behind the heavy TV stand, which seems to be bolted to the carpet. They sent someone to our room with a metal rod which helped fish my phone back. They also fixed the elevator lighting after a day - before it was flickering and scary like in a horror movie. 4. Plentiful parking in the lot and free (no need to enter/leave with ticket through the gate). Areas for Improvement (most minor): 1. The gym is super tiny with just 3 ellipticals I think. a bench and set of dumbbells would have been nice! 2. I don't recall any free coffee in the lobby, but I did see hot water dispensers for tea. 3. The Lodge is a bit dated but everything is functional. Maybe future updates could be a room thermostat and maybe updated carpeting. 4. Our shampoo dispenser also didn't work well so we had to twist the nozzle and squeeze hard.”

“Quaint little place. It gives the feel of an English Inn. Lots of trails for walking/hiking, and it's a 5 minute walk to Muir Beach. We saw deer, rabbits, newts, and quail on our walks. The staff were great, and the rooms comfortable. It's pricey, but we'd definitely make the trip again.”

“Best hotel I've ever been! Especially for the price. Everything was wonderful. The view was pretty even just looking out into the lobby. All of the workers are extremely nice! We got to have free snacks and drinks and a free breakfast, it was such a pleasure. The cleaners, the front desk, and the bartender are extremely hard working too they definitely keep the place running splendidly and keep everything clean. They have a nice pool and hot tub, even though I didn't see the hot tub advertised when I booked the hotel I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't want to stay in San fransico so this was a perfect spot and only 20ish minutes from muir wood.Huge thanks to everyone for our wonderful stay!!! Will book again if we are ever back over here.”

“I have knee pain, injured cartilage and your jacuzzi made it feel OK.

Nearby activities: Jacuzzi was great, breakfast was so-so. No microwave in room ..
Nice looking room.”

“So I noticed a lot of bad reviews and I chanced it because of the price. And it was a good choice because it was a good place to stay for the price. When I checked in I was greeted by friendly staff I was able to check in early and was even asked what floor I wanted to stay on, So I said 3rd floor not realizing there was a fourth I could see San Rafael Bay from my window which was peaceful, probably would have had a better view from the fourth floor ‍ ok maybe next time. The hotel room was clean it come with a small kitchen full size fridge stove top and microwave. There were some ants by the window but they stayed by the window and didn't bother me. You can see by the pics the room was clean it has a nice bathroom and shower typical tv bed arrangement. It's not to far from a walking trail along the bay there's a Target down the street and a Korean cafe overall the stay was nice. The only concern I had was the damage/ vandalism that was done to the elevator and on the other side of the freeway is San Quentin State prison which I didn't plan on visiting. Also there is a B&B across the bay called East Brother Lite House that looks adorable to stay at so check it out.”

“Warning - clicking on Google links brings you to a 3rd party booking site, not the Travelodge site. This location DOESN'T supply a continental breakfast. It is pre-packaged pastries only. They do have a microwave in the lobby but nothing else. The staff is great and the location is clean and safe.”
