Beware of infested plants. There is a review I ignored where a lady claimed her plant had bugs. Low and behold, we purchased a $150 cactus, and there are tons of nats coming from it!!! See photo. I'll be telling everyone to avoid this place.

Had one of the worst experiences to date at the Cactus Jungle. Sick to my stomach about the way I was treated after spending close to 4k with them over the years. Long story short, I recently purchased 5 plants from them (a range of succulents) which cost about $500. The staff asked when I checked out with the plants/pots if I wanted them repotted, I thought this was very kind and said yes. Lesson learned, read the fine print! Apparently if you get their plants repotted you are not allowed to return them.I brought the plants home and within a few days realized I was seeing an excess of gnats in my home. I noticed they were coming from my new plants and that these plants were infested with fungus gnats. They not only were spreading all over my home, on my kids toys, on our food, they also spread to my other almost 25 house plants that I have had for years and infested them too. I contacted the nursery immediately and spoke with Peter who acted as if I was the one w the problem. Completely unapologetic and gave me false information stating they were just white flies and nothing to worry about. He stated he would do whatever I wanted, whether that be to return them or have them treat them for the pests. I stated I needed to speak w my husband and my personal Gardner and would get back to him. After having my personal Gardner of 10 years take a look, he was absolutely sure these were fungus gnats. I then called back today, 01/16/24 and spoke to another individual whose name I cannot recall, and went through the scenario and that I wanted to return the plants. He was also unapologetic, acted as if it was no big deal, that now my entire garden of indoor plants were infested with fungus gnats because of the plants I purchased from them. He gave me an option to have the plants treated by them at the cactus jungle and then send them back home with me in a few days. I have multiple small children, two huge dogs, they like to get into everything. I have postpartum anxiety after just having a baby a few months ago, the thought of potential treatment harming my children or dogs, just isn’t worth it to me. They stated the treatment would be fine, but if there are any postpartum females out there with anxiety, it is almost not worth it because of the constant worry it would cause me. Not to mention, the time, effort and energy this has already taken me, when I should be the one being treated like the customer in this scenario and not the problem! I loaded all the plants back into my car and brought them back to the nursery 1/16/24. I had my baby in my arms, and I went in to attempt to receive the refund I was promised to be told that all they were going to do was treat my plants and send them back home with me. To say I was furious is an understatement. I was more surprised than anything after the hours, days, I had spent on this. I tried to plead my case and was told that since the staff offered to repot them for me they were no longer eligible for refund! This is absolutely baffling, not only did the plants look untouched, they were also repotted in plants I purchased from the nursery! I had these plants in my home for less than a week, came in with a receipt and asked for a refund and was told no. But yet, just a few days before when discussing this issue with Peter, he stated he would give me a refund. Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with the money, it is about the purpose and time and effort I’ve had to put into this. After getting no where with this male individual, I decided to leave, without a refund. So the nursery now has all their plants/pots I purchased back and I haveLost $500. To say I am sickened by this experience is an understatement. I have never been treated like this in my entire 33 years of existence. I urge anyone that reads this to stay away from this place. I have the better business bureau involved and will take further measures if they continue to keep my money.

I've been to their other location in Berkeley a number of times before they opened this spot and I was so excited to have one closer to home! This store is definitely worth traveling to! I always find something unique and fun here, great selection! And great, friendly service! Love this place and I'll keep coming back!

What a gem of a place! I've always had a wonderful experience at Cactus Jungle. The staff is so welcoming and personable. Jonathon has helped me out above and beyond a few times now and has given me advice on the care for my plants. They have a variety to choose from for any room inside and out! Expect good quality and all priced fairly.

Huge selection, knowledgeable proprietor. Fun walking around looking at the jungle. All the bamboo plants and the palm tree we purchased are thriving. The palm is now HUGE.

You might need a bigger car. Lots of cute little cacti and succulents but they have some monsters too. Tons of choice and fun even to just look. Kids will like seeing the tortoises there too. Prices are reasonable, but you can expect that the large cacti will be expensive just like any large plant would be.

A very nice store, amazing cacti and succulents, the bigger plants are pricey, but you can get tiny, cute succulents for 2.99, and US-made terracotta pots for less than a dollar!

Prices are really high & didn't have the plants I was looking for. Great I guess if you have a lot of money to spend on a giant cactus.

Just a word of caution here. I placed an order for Bamboo with cactus Jungle. Which in total came to over $1500. I was Promised that the plants (15 Gallon)which were $199 each would contain 8-10 stalks each. What I received contained 2-3 stalks each plant and the plants had brown on them like they had not been properly Cared for. Also some off the stalks had been cut off. The quality was very poor and when I attempted to rectify this with the owner Peter L. he accused me of wanting free product and said I sent a "bold-faced Demand for special treatment" those were this business owners exact words. He also insinuated That I mistreated his employees which is untrue. I was kind to everyone and In actuality all I wanted was what I was promised by his employee and the proper standard of what I paid for. Short story long they will not stand behind the information they give you or their product, and if you complain they treat you like they did you a favor not like you paid for a service. Because of the quality of what I received I will have to purchase more Bamboo but rest assured I will use another nursery not this place. I guess the days where businesses value their customer are over. DONT DO IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
