I will say the first guys who came to pack our stuff were amazing. But the last day, they were in a rush, had random guys, literally just tossing drawers into boxes. Stuffing paper into dresser drawers. Packing items upside down… the move probably wouldn’t have been so awful, if we didn’t have to put our stuff in storage there. Under NO circumstances use their storage!!!! Upon arrival, 4 months later… all my furniture were covered in tiny bugs. Took months to get rid of… the truck was overstuffed when they came… and I realized they probably ran out of room for the rest of our stuff and just said oh well and kept A TON of our items! All the things were in the garage and would have been the last things packed on the truck! Thankfully it wasn’t anything irreplaceable BUT I’m still fighting to get money for the items they kept!!! Just awful way to run a business.

Administration: 100% of scheduling is done by one overworked person, making scheduling shipments almost impossible. They're over capacity.Unpackers: really really wonderful. 5 stars for all three teams we had. Respectful, followed protocol, and careful.

Military move customers, DO NOT allow your PCS to be assigned to MID Moving & Storage. If you get notification that MID has been assigned, force the transportation office award it to someone else. You are within your rights to do so.I am in the midst of a move and this is how they've loaded my household goods in advance of turning them over to a driver for shipment to New York. Some of my furniture has been wrapped with soiled pads that should have been retired several moves ago. Some of it is not wrapped at all. All of it was haphazardly tossed on the truck because MID didn't assign enough people to properly complete the job in the three days alloted to pack and load my shipment. During the final day when the focus should have been entirely on load out, they were still packing items. Sensing that they were running out of time, by mid afternoon on the final day they started throwing loose items on the truck including partially disassembled furniture (that will be destroyed because it not properly taken apart and wrapped); and flimsy Rubbermade bins that have been packed loose and under heavy objects that will crush them and everything inside of them. I have picture frames with glass fronts that have been haphazardly shoved into mirror boxes together with no paper to stop them from scraping against one another and noting to prevent the glass from being crushed. They stacked several dish packs at a time on dollies and bounced them down the stairs. Won't be surprised to have a lot of broken glass when I receive them in New York.Somewhere in that heap of stuff are golf clubs that have just been wrapped with a blanket instead of properly boxing them up.They trampled all over a white area rug that could have easily been rolled up at the start of the job to keep it clean.Screws, bolts, pegs, and other parts from the disassembled furniture were thrown into a giant parts box with no marking as to which piece of furniture they belong.Multiple crew members arrived without masks. Even after I provided new ones for them, I had to tell them multiple times to wear a mask inside my house.Crew members had an attitude and were not responsive when I raised the above issues with them.

The worst company for moving your furniture. If the military lets you choose, do not choose this company. I worked for them 25 years ago when I was in high school. Alan Freeze, Carl Freeze and their dad Gary, was the most racists people out there. They called Hispanic workers horrible names. They referred to them as wetbacks and yelled at them, abused the poor people. I stood up to them, but I was only 16 years old. The Alan Freeze abused older truck drivers. In fact, one of them had physiological issues because of Mr. Freeze. He would not allow the poor man to rest, sent him driving on long hauls pretty much 24/7. The poo guy would collapse sometimes getting off the truck. I didn't know the law back then or I would have figured out a way to report him. I helped the poor man get up several times and asked if I could call someone, but the man told me he needed the job.

Barely deserves half a star. Horrible experience with the military move, sloppy and downright embarrassing packing job, random things thrown into any box they could find, permanent labels pasted onto furniture that melted on in the heat, and very lazy packing crew with bad attitudes. Shameful that this company is used for military moves.

Horrible nightmare! Thieves! During the move I could not keep up with the movers going room to room. I did not realize they were already in my bedroom before me. It was then end that long day when I remembered that I had put my jewelry on top of the dresser the night before, thinking I had time to put it in my suitcase. I never got to that and the movers helped themselves, stealing my diamond engagement ring, a second pearl and diamond ring and a rare bracelet. These were some of my only valuables, not to mention precious family heirlooms. I went to the company and ended up meeting with either the manager or the owner. What a fowl person! He did not care a hoot about my problem. He told me that I must have packed them away and would find them later. I asked about the movers -I had their first names. One of them moved to Los Vegas just days after my move! He wouldn't give me any information about the laborers and refused to help me. He was condescending and rude. I filed a police report and was devastated. DO NOT go with this company! Try Poulos moving instead.

I'm literally in tears over the complete sliminess, back-handed, and ungrateful people who represent this company! I couldn't agree MORE with Jennifer H's review, but I will add: you definitely don't feel valued - let alone even cared about - by the military when they pick the lowest of the low to handle your possessions like these people! I was 14 weeks pregnant with twins when this move occurred and despite being exhausted, hormonal, and sick... My husband and I made sure to have everything ready for the movers when they arrived. As in: all frames and pictures off the walls, pre-bagged our linens in clear zipper bags, no trash, we separated our chemicals/liquids, we even personally packed our high value collectibles in their original boxes FOR these men but left it open for them to inspect prior to signing off their list... And much much more... We FED these men! ALL of them! We made them coffee when they arrived! Gave them gatorade and bottled water... Let them blast their music while they were packing... Gave them left over plants as gifts since we couldn't pack them... We let them use our bathroom, which literally became the equivalent of a port-a-potty... We thought we should buy them lunch to help keep them motivated to NOT break our things and spent $150 at Chic Filet for them! And the second to best part is: they had no idea that I speak Spanish so I got to listen to their vulgarity and cruel comments about my belongings all day! But why shut them up right? These people are handling my prized possessions... So just keep quiet and don't rock the boat... Wrong... Don't try to placate or encourage these people... They will write your stuff is already broken - after they break it but sealed/wrapped it up to quickly for you to notice - but it's all in code and numbers and letters that denote different things. Then at the end of the day when they're shoving the inventory list in front of you to sign and you're exhausted and just want to leave... You'll notice something that looks like this next to one of your items: "D, R, SC, M, MIL, W, ST, 1,2,6,8,9,12," and guess what?!?! It's an entire code of how your item is damaged, ripped, scratched, marred, mildewed, warped, stained, and the numbers are the locations of where... But you can't even dispute that with them as they're trying to get you to sign because guess what?!! They're filling all this out as they go, so your stuff is wrapped and sealed away before you even know that they wrote something! We didn't expect perfection, but we were both raised to be generous, HONEST, grateful, and people with integrity. So when you're pregnant with twins and fly half way around the world and sleep on a rental cot until your bed arrives, imagine the heartache when every piece of furniture has something wrong with it and you can't even claim one piece because they already wrote that it was scratched, marred, dented, chipped, etc everywhere... How can the headboard of a dresser be marred when there is no headboard for a dresser? But they will just list every number and letter anyways!!! Oh! And like Jennifer's review said... They pack and shove anything anywhere... They broke a dresser drawer because they first tried to pull it out (because they didn't bother to ask how to remove them)... So then they decided the next best option was to pack it so completely full of different belongings that the drawer came unhinged and now requires massive force to open or close it... We have no pets and no children presently... So the damage they described was a result of their laziness, lack of integrity, and abuse. My only hope is that the military removes them from being used as TMO and/or they go out of business before someone else experiences this... But what I hope for most of all... Is that someone does to their belongings what they have done to mine and that they also receive the same level of honesty we did... So receiving compensation will be impossible! Eye for eye, you

THE WORST! The worst moving company ever! We've had many moves with the military but never have I had movers intentionally break things to fit their packing needs! They didnt pad a single piece of furniture. Many glass items were not wrapped at all and thrown into boxes with heavier items. Common sense tells you this is wrong! Unwrapped wine glasses should not be boxed with medicine balls and weights! They spilled drinks on boxes in the garage yet refused to rebox them, leading to mildew on items upon arrival. Packed dresser drawers full of whatever they could shove in, thus breaking many drawers. Marked many items broken on their scribbled illegible inventory when they were in proper working condition before they arrived! Failed to pad or wrap computer screens or televisions unless they were supervised doing so. And caused multiple damages to my walls in military housing and Alan refused to return any contact attempts to return, as they stated they would to repair damages! I was then responsible for paying for those holes! They didnt bring enough crates to pack all of the furniture so 'packed' partial sofa at the warehouse, it arrived with amazing rodent damage to the cushions and frame!

Avoid this business at all costs. I do not know why anyone would choose to allow rude, unprofessional and lazy people into their home. They were careless with our household goods throwing things and cutting into boxes without care. I cannot say this with more emphasis, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!! TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Has to be the worst run moving companies I've ever been to. I'm a over the road driver and was going to drop a shipment off at this place until I got there and seen how they treated people's belongings. First off their warehouse leaks so instead of fixing the leaks they put buckets down. They don't pad anything. I went down the street to bronco moving they at least had a non leaking roof and were using pads.

I'm in the same boat as the last reviewer, If I could give negative stars I would. I have moved countless times in my life, and this is by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. In order to sum it up best, I would have to list all of the negative experiences I had: - They were an hour late after their allotted window, and did not call to inform us. - The company sent only 2 people for what should have easily been a 4 person job. Which would explain why they did a piss poor job from start to finish until 7:15 pm with no lunch break. - Their quality of wrapping was very poor. I am positive that I will have many, many claims to fill out. luckily I have personal property insurance, I will be using it. - They were not even aware that this was an international move, much less come prepared with the proper supplies for furniture wrapping. - They moved a very expensive teak dresser on a dolly to my driveway with no wrapping on it and put it directly on the concrete with no protection to the piece, left it there for several hours and then decided to wrap it (still) directly on the concrete. - They put tape directly on bare, unsealed teak furniture, this is cheap brown tape that NEVER is removed cleanly. Anyplace where they put this tape directly to my furniture damage will be, which was at least 6 pieces ( 3 of which are very expensive). - I have a freshly restored/painted dining table that has been in my family for 200+ years. They didn't even cover the chairs completely, half of each chair had exposed wood, and all of them had tape directly applied to the paint.... - There were several random household items they didn't even wrap, I had to ask them to wrap it, and they were not happy about it and not even positive they ended up wrapping it. -I have a large teak bookshelf in which they wrapped one side with paper and left the other side completely exposed and loaded it directly into the crate (with no protection to the wood!!) and then proceeded to tell me they could not wrap the rest of it for some unexplainable (lazy) reason. - And to top it all off they drive away with several wooden crates that had not even been closed or sealed with our items inside them and a long drive ahead of them. This is my 3rd overseas move, this was the most a$* backwards international move I've been through they did not do ANYTHING they were supposed to for this kind of move. There are other offenses that I could add but for sake of the length of this review, I'll stop. My husband and I have already come to the conclusion that it is likely not only many things will be broken, but surely items missing.... Like I said before, I have moved so many times in my life, only 2 of which I've done myself- this is the worst moving company I've ever used, but was a government funded move, so the lowest bidder gets the job! well you get what you pay for... DO NOT use this company.

If I could give negative stars, I would. We moved from Alaska to San Francisco due to a military transfer. This company said that they could not deliver our goods for 2 weeks after arriving. So needless to say we were very excited for our stuff when it finally got here. The movers were rude, gave no care to where our boxes were placed, and unlike other transportation companies did not unpack any boxes or furniture. We had to beg them to put our bed together - that is something all companies do for these types of moves. Also, mid claims that if your shipment is over 3000 lbs, they will come back to collect the debris (boxes, paper, etc). We are in a building downtown SF that cant handle a lot of rubbish, so we called to schedule that ASAP. We were told 5-8 business days. It has now been 12. Nobody will answer our calls, nobody will call us back. I understand that the company is in Salinas and it may seem like a far trip to pick up garbage, but do not make a claim if you cannot uphold it. And certainly do not bid on jobs in SF if you can't handle the distance.
