Very friendly staff. Wasn't to satisfy though. Computers were down at the time of my reservation, and by the time they were working, it was about 45 minutes later. I was given the original time of the reservation to return the car even though their system was down.

OUTSTANDING STAFF!!! Very clean office. Great service. Excellent car selection. Fair rental rates. Easy to rent the car and return it. I had some transmission repairs on my car and needed a rental car for 3 days. The experience was really great. I also listened carefully to how other customers were managed while I was there - the friendliness plus professionalism really made a great difference in their experiences too. I strongly recommend choosing Hertz if you need a car rental in Salinas! Robert

This current Hertz rental team at the Salinas Airport location with David are outstanding. The bad reviews are from older employees not working there anymore. I have had to rent a car twice now in this month of July for various reasons and David really made all of it painless for me while providing super great (and fast) service. On my first rental, the office was busy with multiple customers picking up cars at the same time. All of us were handled smoothly even while many phone calls were coming in. David politely answered quick questions on the phones and then put them on hold to focus on us there at the rental desk. Both cars I rented were in great clean condition too. I reserved the manager's choice vehicle and was assigned very nice vehicles both times. Much appreciated. When I came back to return the cars, it was quick and easy too. I recommend this location very much for anyone needing a rental! Robert

HORRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT RELY ON THEM, THEY LEAVE YOU HANGING!! I secured a reservation online for a family trip and received a confirmation call 2 days prior but when I went to pick it up, they were CLOSED (on a Friday mid morning) and the sign indicated they should have been open. I called corporate toll free number and they were of no help and couldn't explain why that location was closed. I had to cancel and request a refund because I drove 30 minutes to get to Salinas and already wasted an hour of travel time...I wasn't trying to drive further out to see if their Seaside location could assist. THANKFULLY ENTERPRISE was across the street and their awesome team was able to accommodate me quickly AND THEY WERE MORE COST-EFFECTIVE. NEVER USE HERTZ.

Reserve a car n Company in Salinas Hertz removed money from my acct. day of reservations they contacted n said sorry but my reservation was voided cuz they couldn’t get a car n when I asked for a refund to unpaid service I got an 800 number n submitted a claim three month later no money back n when I call 800 n the Salinas Hertz only get an automated service that circles with no response. Thieves

Reserved a Full Size Vehicle (Chevrolet Malibu or something similar) through my Capital One Credit Card for $218 and was given a Mid-Size Nissan Altima with Push Start. The key fob was dying (no real key, just a fob) so before leaving I told the lady about the key fob battery and she didn’t seem to care, then I asked if the car was a full size and she said with slight attitude “yes, our only other full size is reserved.”Then when I returned it, I backed into the spot like every other car there and she didn’t want it backed in since it had just been returned. The car wasn’t backed in when we got it though…Also, the guy that rented me the car said that they charge a $200 holding fees to Credit Cards and $400 to Debit Cards. When I was returning the vehicle, the lady said that they don’t rent cars with a debit card, that they need a credit card.Honestly, I don’t plan on EVER going back there to do any business if they have rude people like that or if they FALSELY rent out Mid-Size Vehicles under the Full Size label. My Wife’s Chevrolet Malibu is a full size vehicle, we just didn’t want to put the 400+ mileage on it.DO NOT LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!! You can easily Google a Nissan Altima and see that it’s a mid-size vehicle

Lady was condescending on the phone. She made sure to tell me she was about to take a lunch break. Every question I asked she seemed like it was a stretch to answer. If the phone booking is like this I would rather walk. Canceled reservation

The office inside Salinas Airport. The customer service is top notch and I really appreciate their helpfulness. This is my second time to use this location and couldn't be happier. Thank you and I highly recommend this location for your car rental needs.
