Customer service is terrible, I ordered a window through Hayward and it arrived scratched and with no window screen, trying to get them to fulfill a warranty order has been a year long process and still unresolved.

I can't believe that they have so many locations still open. I come from a family of contractors who have jobs up and down the coast, and we are just done trying to buy from Hayward. They sometimes have nice quality lumber, but it's not worth the hassle of hoping and praying that may be the case, so we go elsewhere. Stores are never stocked with anything useful, I would suggest their team go to some more successful lumberyards and get some ideas to better their business.

Except for the covid hours this place and people are AWESOME!!! My first time here and I was very happy with the courtesy and professionalism without going over the top into" "stick up the bum" demeanor. Very fast unload and very good with communicating. I would definitely deliver here again?????

Good doors but customer service/communication/clarity of job was woefully lacking. 3 of 4 doors were mis-ordered (initial order took 4 months!) and only 2 fit with minimal disruption to surrounding area (was told there would be no retrofitting required...I wanted essentially a 'plug-and-play' install and was told there would not be a problem). As the 'door professional', don't promise me one thing then backtrack when it's clearly not possible. I expected more from a solid, long-time community business....

This place is a fuc$& joke we were suppose to get our fencing material in today and they were suppose to call before they came!! My fence guy called them to ask what time the lumber would be delivered and he was told that they had called us to let us know it wasnt coming in!! First of all they lied they never called us so we were waiting thank goodness the fence guy called or we would of been waiting all day for the lumber material wondering where it was I don't care if there's a shortage you need to let your customers know on top of that I have two really angry neighbors now! POOR POOR SERVICE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS DONT GO HERE!!! Sadly your better off going to Home Depot!! Hayward lumber your manager is a piece of horse crap get it together people you obviously need trading in customer service!! Word travels fast in this town

Just want to give a shout out to Hayward Lumber in Salinas. I like one-stop shopping for my projects. The store is well-stocked and well-organized. They have EVERYTHING! Employees are friendly and the manager was especially knowledgeable. Thanks, Brian!

Very racists and poor costumer service... very sad to have to go to places like these here. And get treated with anger and hate because they're racists and miserable. Office lady in the mobile trailer has some serious issues
