This was easily the most unorganized, inefficient, and ruthless car buying experience that I have ever had. I cannot more emphatically suggest you take your business elsewhere. After a series of miscommunications, they refused to understand our perspective and, regardless of the specifics of this situation, refused to hold themselves accountable for their mistakes.

Verryy bad experience if I could give back the car I bought I would. Mike says he will call me back to update me on my questions and never does. Bought the car and since the beginning it had so many problems and Mike didn’t want to respond. I had to take my car into the shop after I bought it because they didn’t do everything they said and on top of that they SCRATCHED the car. He had told me they do rentals and when I got there he said he had no idea what I was talking about and made me late to me class after waiting over an hour for a rental to be ready. Bad service wouldn’t ever recommend going there.

I bought a 2020 used Nissan rogue on October of 2022. The sales man at the time was Art who no longer works there now works at Volkswagen across the building of this store. When my wife and I went to go look at cars he was the gentlemen that helped us and everything started off great. We met jose the manager who talked to us about the car and the warranty and all the “good things” that come along with it. We made the purchase happily and went on our way. It hasn’t been a full year yet and so many issues with this vehicle that it feels like my family got scammed on a lemon vehicle. First it was the tires, to then it needing new break pads and rotors to “oh you need alignments” (2 times now) to the car won’t stop shaking. When we first got the initial problem jose took care of it gave me new tires great! But what about all these other issues? My wife called Art to talk about all the stuff that’s going on and to our surprise he resigned and moved on. He was little to no help and just told us the blatant truth that gold star gmc and Buick do not do inspections on their used cars and try to get rid of them fast regardless of the issues. After I took my car to Nissan because it still has the bumper to bumper warranty I called jose and explained what was going on he said to come on over and talk numbers “see how we can help you out” when I got there he showed me a new gmc terrain 2023 and handed me off to Pablo the guy on the commercials. Everything was going fine they were asking for 1800 down (more money down the drain) and my car payment would increase from 650 to about 929 a month. After trying to negotiate and telling them I’m not going more than 750 they settled on 796. In reality it isn’t about the money it’s the fact that they put me in this mess and there solution is to increase my payment get me on a new car loan that would double on what I owe for the Nissan and for them to get rid of there vehicles because this place does not care about people only filling there pockets. I’m going back to Nissan this Wednesday again because the car won’t stop shaking and for it to be not even a year in my possession makes me never want to recommend this dealership to anyone or shop here ever again. This has been nothing but a nightmare and now I’m stuck paying for this POS all because of art and Jose from this establishment. Read the fine print and read the contracts they sign up for you, don’t believe them when they say it “has rebates” or that they’ll “take off” money all they do is rearrange the numbers and inflate other numbers so you pay the same or more. And don’t buy into there warranty it’s a scam! My deductible is 250 every time or on each issue they “find” when Jose told us that the warranty we payed for would help us cover whatever happens to the car in termsOf part motor internal issues. Which is what’s going on right now. I hope this place gets karma because it is not right what they did to me and what they will do to other people down the road.

I was disappointed with the service. We dropped off our truck for an oil change a couple of months ago. Out of nowhere the truck started pouring out oil. Luckily it was close to home. The vehicle was not drivable. We towed it to another dealership (it was over the weekend). They ended up telling us that they left the old oil filter gasket on and then put the new on on top. So eventually it popped off and the oil splattered all over the motor and the truck. I really do get that people make mistakes, and things happened but, it was eye opening when we notified them about it. We didn't even get an apology. I would have at least expected that, and maybe reimbursement since we got it fixed somewhere else. Maybe "next service is on us." Anyway, we can expect all we want. At the end of the day, not everyone does the right thing. Not good business. It's not like the service is cheap. Learned our lesson.

I took my car in there for repairs. They charged me approx. $200. When I was driving home it was in worse condition that when I brought it in and I barely made it home! Gold Star mechanic and J J told me the catalytic converter needed to be replaced, ($700.00 plus labor)....I took my car to a private mechanic, he explained the catalytic converter was in good condition and only the engine coils needed to be replaced. I replaced the coils, problem solved, ($140)....I went back to Gold Star dealership and requested a refund for making my car run worse and telling me to replace my catalytic converter. J J told me it's my tough luck and they won't reimburse anything....IT'S MY OPINION VEHICLES BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE ARE DELIBERATELY DAMAGED TO THEN CONVINCE YOU TO BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM!!!J J and his business has no integrity or morals.

I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. I dropped it on at 8 my appointment was not until 9:20. 330 came around and I had not heard anything. I went to pick it up I was charged but not informed about a leak that they had found. I went back in and was told that they found an oil leak between my engine and transmission. They put a dye in to track the leak. I was never told they were gonna do that. They recommend I drove it for 500 miles. If I would have never read my work order I would have not know about the leak. Once I got home I opened my hood. The tech spilled oil and tried to clean it up but messed up my engine cover. Oil is still spilled in my engine compartment. I now need to return in a week.

I have never had issues with Gold Star Buick GMC in Salinas but lately their customer service has been terrible. The only person I can say has provided beyond excellent customer service is Pablo at the service dept. He was the only person that went out of their way. He explained things that needed to be done to our vehicle in a way that was easy to understand. Pablo even had to come in on his day off to finish up paperwork for our service appt. I really hope his managers read this review and give him the recognition he deserves.

General manger RALPH MARTINEZ and service associate Angle were completely rude and didn’t provide me with any information of my vehicle being completed or why it took them 2 weeks to fix my truck. The general manger RALPH MARTINEZ was aggressive towards me when I asked him why my truck has been sitting in his parking lot since May 15 and hadn’t been worked and that question was asked on May 17 when I had a appointment on May 15 but never was called saying why it had to stay there for 2 weeks. I contacted Angle the service associate and he told me not to contact him or text him because he wasn’t going to tell me anything about my truck. That’s so unprofessional on behalf of your general manager RALPH MARTINEZ and service associate Angle. They also disconnected My GPS on my truck after I told him I’ve tracked my truck and it hasn’t moved and since that day my GPS was disabled and never reconnected. I was never provided the time line they worked on the truck and the reason it took so long. A service manger isn’t suppose act that way and make the customer feel stupid in front of others. I wish I could have spoken to someone else at the time this happened but I walked out of there. I waited patiently 2 weeks for them to give me my truck back on May 30. I wouldn’t take another vehicle to Gold star motors dealership again if those 2 associates still work there

The staff are very professional and informative. We dropped off our vehicle and as promised they had an answer to one of our issues. Unfortunately the other issue was ignored or looked over. I did indicate if they had time for the second issue, to please diagnose it. Electronic issues take some time so I won’t ding you for not dealing with it this time. Thank you for providing a way for us s to finally have an answer to an issue that has been bothering us for Months.

Don't even recommend getting cars there. I worst service. Got the car of dreams to realize they sold me a car that didn't lock and we're trying to make me buy the spare key they lost and wast supposed to come with. Now that it has another problem. ( failing cruise control , cold start electrical on radio and a/c ) I took in the car for the appointment because it still has warranty. They're trying to make me at fault of the electrical problem because I added an after market dashcam. Don't fall for the fancy billboards!!!!
