Would be a 1 star, but the store is clean, stocked & staff is friendly. It's just . . . These stores are worse than a pawn shop. Took in a brand new Xbox Series X controller, just bc I have 5, and was offered $4. FOUR dollars for a $60 controller. It is used, yes. But, really? I watched the employee do the test and he told me it was defective, after watching it pass. Said stick drift, which it didn't have. Asked him to show me again and he was basing this "drift" off of a slight line in the directional bar that was there bc he bumped the stick. It didn't happen again when I asked him to repeat the test. So he kept repeating the test, I guess trying to get a result with drift - didn't happen. Still refused to accept it without the defective status, so I kept it. If it was defective why would they buy it at all? Replacing the sticks involves desoldering & resoldering very small connections (I've done it) and it's very hard. It would cost far more just in labor to fix a defective controller than they sell for new. Makes no sense, other than the business model similar to a pawn shop - taking advantage of people. Offering them next to nothing for things that they don't need but still have value then marking it up 10 fold. It works bc most people that sell things here are desperate for cash or are children who don't work for their $ hence have no sense of value for it.

Was passing by Salinas during a road trip and stopped at this shopping center to go to Target. Noticed there was a Game Stop nearby and took a look. It's really hit or miss with product selection at the various locations. We actually found a FallOut New Vegas Xbox game we wanted to try out and also found this awesome Gamer Stitch plush. He's so cute with his headphones, game controller and tongue sticking out. There are a few Funko pop figures, some plushes and other collectibles besides the usual console games & accessories. The store was large and felt quite spacious. There was only one guy working at this location. Fortunately this was not a busy location. There were only 2 other customers in the store. Parking is plentiful at this shopping center. .

Came in to pick up an order at the Northridge location and couldn't even get what I paid for. They said it was canceled, when it clearly says on my app that it's in progress. If your system is buggy, don't offer using it. That easy! I called the manager here at the harden ranch location and she said that the system canceled my order and to call support. When calling support, they couldn't even get to me because of an hour wait time and hung up on me due to that. Horrible customer experience and service! Gamestop used to be great!

Only 2 workers. Only one of them working while the other just sat & looked at the computer screen.Saw a few people leave because of how long they were taking to help costumers out

The workers here were really friendly.I've had a $hitty experience with the Seaside location but at this the lady & gentleman who helped me over the phone & in person were really helpful.It's sad to see customer service like this in the rearview mirror nowadays but good to know some places keep the good repertoire for them

we bought an Xbox x series and was told we can return after 30 days. And when we went to return it they said That we couldn't, and the day we bought it we made sure if anything wasn't good that we would get our money back. They completely lied to us.
