I've been coming to Dogwood since I opened my business in Salinas. Now that I live here, I bring my pup here multiple times a week. Great customer service and reasonable pricing. They almost always have availability and offer good hours for drop off + pick up. This is the best dog daycare I've found in Monterey county. Highly recommend.

Finding a boarding spot for your dog can be pretty frustrating these days. Every place seems to have different rules and policies, some spelled out clearly online, and others left to be explained later. One way to communicate understandable information quickly is to talk face to face, but barring that, a quick phone call will do. Did you know studies have found humans talk three times faster than typing information on keyboards? Well, Dogwood Ranch will only text you, so it will take all day to get the information you need as you go back and forth with an unknown person (are they even on site or is it like a virtual assistant/offshore situation, who knows) like you are doing business with a middle school student who doesn’t know how to talk on the phone. Not surprisingly, this takes forever! I hope you aren’t in a hurry. Also, they want to do a four hour assessment of your dog, even if it’s a dog that anyone can tell in five minutes loves everyone. Don’t expect to find that on their website or be told that up front. Maybe a phone call could have cleared it up faster. It actually seems like it would take less time than texting everyone back. If they are really “out with the dogs” maybe get some AirPods to answer the phones with, just a thought.

What an incredible discovery - we should have done this years ago. Covid decimated the pool of dog sitters that we’d used for years. We finally steered ourselves to Dogwood Ranch and read the reviews. We got into hi gear to get all the health info together so we could schedule a behavior testing for our dogs. It happened today and they aced it!! We were so impressed with the staff we met, with the dogs we saw standing with many others in a field. No fights, calm looking, peaceful. A GREAT initial impression. After 4 hours we picked our two up - the old one was calm, not anxious for us to hurry up and put her in the car. The young one was tired and happy - he got to run and play. This is now our place of choice when we need care for our kids. Dogwood Ranch gets 5 gold stars from us.

Odi has been vacationing at Dogwood for over 4 years and always comes home, happy, healthy, and calm. Staff are friendly, kind and obviously in love with dogs. The facilities are fantastic with all day access to the outdoors and social interaction with size and temperament appropriate play groups. Couldn’t be happier or more confident to leave Odi in their care.

Dogwood is just fantastic. My 90 pound Pyr mix goes there for daycare when I need to be away for work for long hours and comes home happy and tired. He has also boarded there and I am so grateful to have a safe and familiar place for him to stay. The staff are all super nice and seem to love their jobs and the whole place is clean and organized. Feel very lucky to have this wonderful place in our community!

We have taken our pup there two times for multiple night stays in the house (heated small house with caretakers) not because he's a problem dog but he is not a fan of any type of cold weather. Yes, it costs more but we know he has a great place to stay. We also love that he can grooming done (teeth cleaning without anesthesia, nail trimming and bathing) which is done before we pick him up. He loves to play in the big yard with the other dogs and the bath is a great thing. They also send updates on the pups so you can stay connected and feel confident they are looking out for him. Today we asked for an early pick up and they were able to adjust his bath and we got him early. Thanks Dogwood Ranch!

Great place to board your dog at this fun doggy resort. Our furry friend Bailey loves the social aspect as well as the room to roam in the yard. Your pet will be well taken care of here at Dogwood Ranch Resort & you'll get updates on your furry friend. Bailey's last stay was 2 weeks while we had a cross country vacation. I know he's in good hands at DRR.

The facility is very clean and well maintained. I took Gracie for a "temperament check" which is required before you can board your dog. I like that they check out the dogs and place your dog in the group your dog would feel most comfortable in. I look forward to boarding Gracie, it gives me peace of mind that she will be well taken care of.

Someone posted 6 years ago you do not take pitbulls or pitbull mixes. Five years ago you posted your under new management and DID take pitbulls. When I tried to make a reservation..you said " no pitbulls...so nothing has changed. Please update your reviews , under the pitbull review , so your readers can see you still do not take pitbulls. I have 2 extremely friendly pitbulls and it saddens me they cannot enjoy your facility.

We dropped off our 1 yr old boxer today, Koby, and the experience was amazing. Before our dog noticed us walking into the facility to go pick him up, we saw him running around, getting along with other dogs, it looked like he was enjoying the outdoors to the fullest. We are so happy we found Dogwood Ranch. Their staff is amazing!!!
