This place can be hit or miss. If you are a local stopping in for groceries real quick, it's great. However, if you are trying to get a quick sandwich at lunchtime, the sandwich counter staff can be rude. That being said, I would recommend the meat counter

I want to like this place because the food products are good, but the customer services is so horrible I'm always amazed at something new everything I decide to stop.It very much feels like the ladies who work there are ONLY there due to being apart or know the family who owns or manages the store.You would think with an empty store in the morning it wouldn't be hard to keep coffee pitchers full, especially if no one is behind the counter at the Espresso machine.

Love this place! Especially the deli! This kind boy helped me with my order and did superbbbbb!!!!? he asked what I wanted and double made sure what I wanted and never sat on the counters and was always cleaning and doing his job! This boy should get a raise!!! I don’t really like the ladies who work in the morning, idk, they don’t do anything wrong, I just really prefer the little boy, which is why I started showing up in the evenings ! I recommend this place!

Customer service is absolutely terrible. Wish I could give zero stars. I work close by & have been hoping for better service during the last 6 months. The employee are sloppy, dirty & could careless about customer service. They slap together sandwiches like you are an inconvenience to them. They really should just fire the entire staff & pay some decent wages to get quality employees. This is joke that they're owned by Bruno's in Carmel. Complete polar opposites!!!!

Sandwiches are substantial but almost too large and the bread is ALWAYS stale and dry! It breaks apart when eating the sandwich. They leave the bread bags open after each sandwich is made. So simple to twist them closed each time and the bread would not be dry and stale. VERY EXPENSIVE to not even be able to eat it like a sandwich. We seldom order them anymore. They used to be so good. The store has a good selection of wine and essentials so I give three stars for that. Service is usually unfriendly.

Delicious sandwiches with fresh bread and tasty trimmings. Grocery store products are on the high side, but it's a mom and pop store on the outskirts of Salinas, what do you expect? Go for the sandwiches though; thumbs up.

We went in today to get a sandwich. The person making it was obviously annoyed at the task. Asked for pickles and pepperoncini's and the person basically drenched the sandwich in pickle juice. The sliced sourdough was stale, and soggy. My stomach hurts about 2 hours after eating it. I could maybe excuse the poor customer service if the sandwich was good, but it was not. This is a warning to others don't go, keep driving.

I go there every morning for some coffee & a donut. I so appreciate they are there for me day in & day out. It's such a convenient place for us who live miles away from a supermarket. I thank the owners and there wonderful employees.

My wife and i used to come just about every day for the Bruno's tri-tip sandwich. Seems like they have been having issues keeping employees long term at the deli because every time I've come in the last 6 months its been someone new. Well today i showed up at 2:45, and i ask the young mexican girl for two brunos tri-tips. She looked higher than a kite and had an attitude with me, i ignored it while she sluggishly puts her gloves on. She mumbled very quietly and i had to ask her to repeat her self. Then again with attitude asked what kind of bread, I replied um the bread it usually comes on, i dont know what its called. She rolled her eyes and said ok sourdough. I said no its like a roll they cut and toast, and then she replied again with attitude, I ASKED YOU WHAT KIND OF BREAD! I asked her if she every made this sandwich before? Then I told my wife to discontinue the order and we left. Im sorry to write a negative review but i will not tolerate some half baked youngster that doesn't deserve her job to mistreat me when i was politely ordering my food. I used to gladly come in and tipped the deli person very well to show them I appreciate the service but honestly i will not be stepping foot inside that establishment ever again. I know good help is hard to find, i am a business owner myself, but people like her will single handedly destroy a small business like this. People will give you another chance if the food was not perfect but piss poor customer service with no concern for consequences will push away EVERYONE and the business will fail. And tip for the future, start drug testing your potential new hires. This girl was not sober at all.
