I returned a vest at the Hollister store. They called the Salinas store and were told they had 2 in the size I needed. I drove over here, from Hollister... 1. It wasn't brought up to the register for the hold. 2. THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE MY SIZE!

I rated the Salinas Boot Barn with a three star because at the end I did get great service but unfortunately prior to the great service I did not from three staff members. I have to say I have been a customer for so many years but the customer service has always been an issue. They keep hiring young staff who are more interested with flirting with their customers. Was there again today and asked three young girls for some assistance to check if they had a certain boot in another size. They all at different times said no and walked away. I asked a young man name Alex Gomez and he was very professional and provided me excellent customer service. Alex also processed my online order from his work hand held tablet and did not send me to the front to process at the register. I commend Alex for his efforts to get me what I was looking for. I also spoke with a manager who listened but didnt seem to care about my bad experience at the store. She listened but didn’t ask any questions on the staff who did not provide good service.

For their credit, great selection of items, but keep on mind you're going have to wait in line an eternity to buy something. Very very slow moving line. Very frustrating, twice I had to leave items behind and shopped elsewhere. Management if you read reviews, please fix this issue. The business is noticebly short staffed.

The manager would not give a refund. She was taken the boot cream I tried to return, she was in the far corner so I don’t know if she touched it so I wouldn’t return it or if it was already touched when I purchased it since I never opened it. But she said it looked like it had been touched and would not refund $7. I don’t like being called a liar, especially over $7. Very unprofessional, just like her very low V-neck shirt with her push-up bra that almost had the two girls falling out. Don’t feel thats appropriate if you are the manager but what do I know. Never going to Salinas Boot barn again.

My husband went in a few days ago in need of a new pair of work boots, mind you he's given this store his business in the past, well this time he purchased a different brand name of boots with them, and they ran a little big, so we go in hopes that we can exchange them, the boots were never worn, they're still beautiful but guess what the manager said? Nope, we can't return them, not even an exchange! They had the size tag still intact but because they didn't have the name brand tag intact, they couldn't even do an exemption, brand new not even worn, with two babies, waiting for management to get to the front because the associate couldn't perform the transaction without a "manager code" the line was getting longer, babies & other guest getting inpatient. Horrible policy. Mind you the boots were $139.99 plus tax roughly $155.
