I took my Red Wing boots into Roberto (owner) to send off for a factory resole. He told me the cost would be $160. I thought that sounded a little high compared to the cost of resoles in the past, but he kept insisting that's just the price the factory charges. I told him I'd take them back to do a little research. Sure enough, I called Red Wing directly and they said the price is the same $120 it's always been. Why lie about something like this Roberto? Was trying to skim an extra $40 worth lying about? I've purchased three pairs of boots from them in the past totaling about $1200. But $40 was worth jettisoning any future purchases? Cool cool.

Drove all the way from Santa Cruz to see a sign that says "closed for lunch be back at 3:00" it was 1:50 how long is their lunch this store needs to hire more people.

I took my favorite shoes in to be cleaned this morning. They’re a light yellow tan and had dark marks from my dark pants. Dropped them off this morning and they were ready before closing. I could not have asked for a better result- the shoes look like they are brand new! I’m so happy with the work and will definitely be going back. Lovely and sweet people- thank you!

Needed some new work boots for my job with a safety toe. Usually got pull on boots and decided to try out something different. I looked up shoe stores and came across Becks. Decided to stop there and did not regret it got me some amazing Irish setter work boots. Great price and awesome quality. Been about 3 months wearing the 50+ hour a week and there been holding up amazing. Becks had awesome customer service and my size in stock. Anytime i need work boots i will not hesitate to go to Becks!

Went in there to support a local business and was faced with terrible customer service from the older man. Terrible tone of voice when talking to me and talked to me like I was stupid when I was explaining why I was there getting a discount for defected work boots we bought. His employees told us that we would be getting a discount and when we went back to pick up the boots and the discount he spoke to me like I had no Idea what I was talking about and had a bad attitude about what his employees promised us for the inconvenience of defected boots. Better off going somewhere else if you want good customer service.

Apparently store hours are vague estimates. Supposed to be open at 10:00 am on Saturdays. No one here? Beck’s in Pacific Grove Way more reliable. Don’t waste your time in Salinas.

Got a nice pair of steel toe Irish setters and not overpriced. Staff was friendly and very attentive!I live in San Juan Bautista and will be making the drive to downtown Salinas anytime i need new work boots!

Horrible customer service the unable to answer simple questions not willing to work with and simply just a terrible place to shop at, the old guy that is they're needs to just realize they are loosing customers with they're lack of customer service we are taking our money some where else to a real RED WING store like Santa Cuz or San Jose you should do the same!!I WOULD NOT SHOP THERE AT ALLL!!!

Was an out of towner looking for my favorite Red Wing boots but my style has been discontinued. But the knowledgeable people at Becks hooked me up with another great Red Wing boot. And they resoled my old ones in no time. Worth the travel.

Horrible customer service. The older gentleman who is the owner of the store has a very bad attitude. He needs to retire already probably why he is so grouchy. I would not shop here!!!!
