Another oil change location thought they broke my hood release cable and recommended Salida Auto Repair. I pulled in 15 minutes before closing in 100°+ heat. I explained the issue and that I'm leaving for a cross country road trip in the morning. The owner was happy to take a look. He spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out how to get the hood open and finally diagnosed the cable wasn't broken but had come off the disconnect door. He refused to allow me to pay him for his time and service. I was extremely pleased with his customer service!

Had a problem with my brake pads, can hear them rubbing and I had to wait longer until my next paycheck to get them fixed. That meant I have less time to wait for my car but Greg and his guys hooked me up right away and got me back on the road by the end of the following day.Service: Brakes

Gregg saved us so much money compared to the dealer and was much closer to home. My fiance talked to him and they worked out a deal and got everything scheduled and fixed and had my car back within a couple days and everything worked like new again, yay!!! Thank you Gregg and everyone else here. You are the best. It's important to get honest mechanic work for a fair price when you have a family.

Called them I wanted my air conditioner charged it was 11am and it went to a answering machine so I left a message and they never called me back and I did read there reviews and they were pretty good

I have been going here for years. Greg is truly a great example of a trustworthy mechanic shop owner. His shop has been my go to shop.and they have done a great job everytime. Everyone I have sent to him has always been very happy with his service and honesty. Great place to get work done!!

Absolutely love this auto shop!! I'm very skeptical and sussed out because I've been charged extra or unnecessarily charged for expenses which sucks and I HATE having to call my dad to confirm if it's honest. But this place..... oh this place. Parking is pretty easy, it's Salida so it really isn't an issue. I needed a smog pass to renew my registration and needed it in a hurry. They accommodated me right away and I loved the quick and prompt service. Mechanics were nice and had the little chit chat with me. But I'm writing this review because of Greg/Craig! Smog check was about 30ish minutes and I had a very wholesome and deep conversation with him! Not a lot of people would want to talk about random things like what we saw on the news, but HE SURE DID AND THANK YOU! It means a lot when the customer service is customer centric and Greg/Craig understood the assignment! Price was affordable too!! I might just have to make trips out here for any mechanical issues or concerns! And again, thank you so much Craig/Greg. You're right, there is nothing more important than what is in front of you (quote by him )

This is my go to auto mechanic. Greg is the owner and a great man. He has a great sense of humor and he and his guys do very good quality work. I have never been sold a service I didn't need from these guys and they exceeded my expectations. My car feels brand new every time I leave it with them for a repair. They are helping me restore my vehicles and they have done various repairs and without them I would have never made it this far. It's always a great feeling picking up your vehicle from these guys because you know it's better than what it was. I hope your employees stay with you always because they have never wronged me and you have a fair and honest shop. Anything I'll ever need to get done on my vehicles I'll always go here. Thanks for all the quality repairs and hard work you guys provide!

Greg is great, and does great work. One of the most honest shops we have worked with. We had our Dodge Cummins Diesel 3500 A/C "fixed" by two other repair shops, one being the Dodge dealership. Only to have it stop working again within months. Grey fixed our A/C and it is still going strong. We now only bring our truck to him :)

Greg & his team are amazing! My husband & I stopped by for a second opinion after we were told by my dealership we needed a new transmission ($5,700 fix)!! That didn't seem right so I looked up shops in my area & Greg's popped up! He test drove it, as well as a staff member. They assured us nothing was wrong with my vehicle. We'll be taking it in later this month for maintenance and we will be taking our cars to him from now on! It pays to be honest & have integrity in the work you do. If you need a shop like that, this is the one!

Best service you'll get in the Modesto Salida area. I've been counting on Greg for any auto repairs since 2008 and 4 cars ago maybe even before. Can't think of a better way to say if you're looking for a place to get your car fixed you have found it.
