I sent my Latino contractor to buy supplies. The moment he entered the store, he was immediately followed by a clerk. He did not ask him if he needed help till my contractor asked him why he was following him. I would not buy from an establishment that stereotypes patrons who are not white. Maybe they should hire people who have some degree of education.

Excellent large hardware store for the areaHave another building section of kitchen and housewares. Hard to find quality items. Wife spent $200 in 15 minutes. Had lunch reservations at Farmstead.

This Ace Hardware is well-stocked and has a houseware section they physically expanded a few years ago, with elite and unique inventory as well as the basics. Every employee is helpful and attentive. If they don't have specifically what you need, they will order it. We really, really appreciate the incredible service through the years by the people in this friendly locally owned store.

Generally, it is a great neighborhood hardware store but that may also be the problem. Every time I come here the employees are often having water cooler talk in the back or aisle. Time to check out I often have to hunt for a person. Now, when they do help there are really good, but I always feel like I am spending more time trying to buy their products than I need to.

Absolutely the best hardware store in the universe! No exaggeration! In a tiny space, they have managed to fit just about every single item You could possibly need for projects and home repair. Their kitchenware section has its own wing and is stocked full of items you didn't even know you needed yet! The employees are all super helpful and knowledgeable to help you find anything and everything you need! Amazing service, clean and organized store, high quality kitchen ware! Steve's hardware is the place to go!!

Don't come a few minutes before their new 5 PM closing time. Ruing to fix my 88 year old mom's drain. I ran across town in 90 degree weather (car not working today) just to have the lady worker who was being let out the door tell me they were closed. After a brief out of breath conversation about my situation she actually laughed at me. I turned around and said that was not cool. I should have checked my phone while we were talking because I got to the corner as I left and saw it was just turning five. Too bad, it used to be such a helpful place. It is no wonder the local hardware stores are disappearing. I expect it will be another "Keller's meats" "Vasconie's Drugs" just a storefront with an art gallery inside, soon. If you do go there just remember they close just before 5.

I was in town for a recall at Ford and phone was dying. I found this hardware store and went in looking for cord and battery pack. They sold me one for a Droid but of course there's 2 sizes. This was wrong and package got torn upon opening. The older gentleman was polite and courteous when I came back in looked for another cord to no avail. He promptly refunded me and just wanted to say their help and CUSTOMER SERVICE is top of the line
