I was just here, trying to cash my check because I needed my money right away and because it's Saturday my bank was going to take couple business days for the money to be released to my account. Figured since the check is from a US Bank I should be able to cash it right away. Bank teller ended up asking me about my citizenship!!! And if I was legal in the US because I'm not banking with them and I didn't want to provide him with my SSN. I am giving him my DL and a check with my name on it. He comes to ask me how did I get a DL! Reallyyyyy US Bank? Very disappointed and if I ever thought on banking with you guys, well not anymore!

I have been extremely pleased with my encounters at this bank from the first time I walked in and got set up with an appointment for opening a business account to today when I made my first deposit. They have several levels of business banking accounts. My experiences in-person and with remote appointments with the business banking specialist who works at a different branch have been excellent. My less than stellar experiences with several other banks when I made inquiries helped me make the decision to work with US Bank. Convenient, helpful, and welcoming to business owners at every level. Impressed!And, they are open on Saturdays!

At my wit's end , and broke as a result of trusting the word of my bank , US Bank. For me it began with a phone call to the 800# to ask permission and policy to see if my friend who had lost their ID recently could endorse their stimulus check to me so I could deposit it into my account and cash it for them through my account at US Bank. The 800 number representative from US Bank said " You sure can." So I did. Thinking nothing more about it. The $1200 check cleared , money was distributed both to my account and to my friend and we went about our lives. Until about a week later when I go to the mail and find a letter from US Bank notifying me they have reversed the transaction and it is not their policy to honor third party checks. Along with the letter was a poorly copy of the check ( no original), and a statement typed on the check stating " 'This is a LEGAL COPY of your check. You can use it the same way you would the original". The problem with that is that no indeed I can not use it just like the original. The very first place I took it to ( a check cashing center on Fruitridge) said " I cant accept this, I need the original. If you bring the original I can cash it for you but not this one."So this has been going on for about 3 months now , so far of my calling the 800 and visiting various branches trying to resolve this. I can not accept being out $1200 due to being given the wrong answer by the 800#.Not only that I've called now maybe 6 or 7 times to the 800# regarding this scenario and a majority of the time I still am told I can deposit it I just need to go in to the branch or I need to do it differently. Then I go to the branch and they wont help at all. The copy of the check I have I my possession is worthless for it's presentation. The signature line is shaded black and it's illegible . likeI lookingless. I cant even upload it to an internet bank acct, it continually rejects it. The signature line Is blacked out so its illegible the way it was returned to me from US Bank. Its completely useless.I have put in hours on trying to cash this or figure it out, hours of stress. I live month to month and am currently unemployed. My unemployment has not come through yet, and not having my money corrected really could result in my losing my place to live. I'm negative $1200 from this fiasco The check is a stimulus check therefore it is good. There is not trickery here, I even called for permission in advance and the money once cleared sat in my account for days. I realize for some reason the powers that be at US Bank are divided on what policy is on 3rd party checks but I implore you to reconsider in this matter being all the info ive shared with you. It will take at least another month for my friend to get an ID and quite frankly I need the money to survive now not next month. If you absolutely can not honor the words of your 800 # the very least you can do is return the original check to me so I can cash it elsewhere. Just like US Bank makes up their own rules it appears so do other businesses and the copy I received from US Bank is not equal whatsoever as the original according to the rules of where I have taken it .An update: unfortunately US Bank and i have not connected . luckily I opened an account with Bbva and the Elk Grove branch , their teller named Kevin had me all squared away in less than a few minutes. BBVA and Kevin were the upside to this whole experience. The branch manager at US Bank greenhaven was the down side. He came at me huffing and puffing and not even listening at all. Very unprofessional. People like Kevin and Bbva are what banking is all about. Thank you both !

The US bank at Green heaven area has the worse manger. His name is HARALD JUNKER. My mom cash out her money every month but some how this month she can't because of her account is close. My mom never close her account. I ask who close her account? Herald Junker say they close on March of 2020. But I told him, my mom and I was cashing out every month even in March. All I know is HARALD JUNKER is full of shit. I know for fact, that bank can't close any account for no reason. They have to have a reason plus give a letter of notification in an advance. He even kept my mom ATM card and not given back. My mom has all the receipts since beginning of JANUARY 2020. I don't recommend people come to this US BANK. Worse customer service plus dumb lying manager.
