New renovations is good. They need to improve employees standards of serving customers or I say not all but some particular employee needs training of how to be helpful & directing customers to right direction . An employee told me today that she’s not in the mood of chit chat when all I need is the answer to a simple question regarding a produce. Must be a bad day for some people.

There are employees here that have a bad attitude that needs to be retrained or fired. You can't say they were having a bad day, it was only 7 A.M. everybody has a bad day sometimes, but I already knew what their problem was.

mold everywhere inside of refrigeration unit!! next to food being sold!! ewwwwwwwww!!! Manager claims she had no idea there was mold.. makes me wonder what else she doesn't know about her own store. As a first-time customer walking in and seeing this in the fridge, I find it VERY HARD to believe that as a manager you didn't see it. It's ALOT of mold... there's no way you can't see it. i wouldn't dare buy any food items from this place unless you want to end up in the hospital!!!!

The Smart & Final Extra! on Watt Ave is where I shopped the most because they are near my work.I like to shop here also because the store is clean, very organized, and easy parking.The cashiers at the checkout counter are friendly and usually very fast.

Frozen pizzas were, went to return them and requested a store credit management would not provide a store credit. The only option available was to replace them with the same product that we did not want because I would give them less than one star but it's not. Don't waste your money or time.

Friendly staff but this S&F does not sell the tasty Rosisserie chicken it is notoriously famous for. One of the cashiers said it will be sold there next year in 2024. No rotisserie is as good as this one. The only rotisserie that can rival this one is sold at Sprouts. I must try it out.

Usually, it's okay, but I had some pretty bad customer service experiences here today. From TWO different people in the SAME visit -- one was even the manager. I guess we should just not ask for anything we're not able to just take care of on our own. Ended up giving up & just leaving. I fear this store will go the way of Rite-Aid next door.

The service was horrible I was trying to buy some chesse and realized I grabbed an extra one and when I asked if I could return it but the cashier said no. I didn't even pay for it yet. And I kept telling her I didn't want the extra cheese but she kept insisting I had to pay for something I don't want. She even printed out the receipt and I told her I didn't want it and she told me that she can't remove the item and I had to pay for it. This went on back and fourth until she called her manager and the manager told her to remove the item. And she magically found out how to remove the item and when the manager went away she kept muttering things like "oh Jesus" "Waste of my time" and when she was removing the item she kept saying to the other people in line "SorRy HE'S LiTTlE SLOW" when we walked out and said thank you, she gave me the most karenist look I have ever seen. The place is decent but the customer service is trash.

I will never come to this store again. Terrible customer service. Employee Raynesa openly argued with a coworker about having to open up a register and when she finally was made to open her register was rude and threw our food to the end of the counter and showed no professional customer service at all. Ripped the receipt out of the register in an angry way and flung that to us also. She has no customer service skills and this store does not seem to care. A customer called the store and she picked up the ringing store phone in front of us and hung it up saying "this is not the time to be calling this place". I filed a complaint. Hopefully management will terminate her for this awful behavior. I would not shop at this store again. Many customers complain about this place. Always terrible customer service here and yes lots of expired food and especially meat.

Bought Sunday afternoon at Smart & Final, moldy Tuesday morning. $5 down the drain, no reduced price. Inspect your fruits and veggies CAREFULLY. And buy reduced price anything at your own gastrointestinal peril.

The "Extra!" means that this is a more consumer-oriented store than the regular Smart and Final, so there's a decent mix of both bulk & more family-sized products. One caveat: it's worth checking price-per-ounce as bulk isn't always cheaper.They also have an decent produce section, and the condition of the veg are usually better than a grocer. Except for mint. They don't carry mint.The app is useful, both for digital coupons and doing price comparisons to other stores before you shop. Most things are cheaper here, but not always. It helps to have the app for your normal store to compare prices. Eggs for example
