November 2023 by Uncle Charlie
OMG! What happened to this business? Is it abandoned? Do they actually sell anything? Do they like making an old strip mall seem more ghetto?!? Maybe they just like to be territorial and block parking spaces for their neighbor businesses??? I don't know, but it's mysterious and sad here. I suppose this place could be featured on an episode of Abandoned American, but like the parking spots in front, they'd probably block that idea too...

Their stupid truck cut me off and took my turn in the McDonald's drive thru. He then flipped me off when I said ‘hey!'. Rude a**

Artistry takes time, especially when it comes to upholstery. It's not fast food, so if you're patient, I would bet money you will be overjoyed by the final product, as I was. My tattered old chair has been transformed into a thing of beauty. If I could give Shannon's six stars, I would.

Here's the good: our chair that we had recovered looks great. Truly top-notch work. So why not five stars? Here's the bad. When we dropped the chair off, we were told 6 weeks. A month later, with no proactive notification, we called to find out what was going on. What followed was a cycle of reasons why it wasn't done and promises that it would be finished by the end of the week, our check-in five days after that (remember how we were the ones reaching out?), more reasons and promises of a certain date, us reaching out several days after it was due, and so on....eight weeks late, it's delivered. And when I expressed our disappointment to the owner's son, more excuses were given, followed by statements of understanding. Here's the deal. We don't mind it being late. Life happens, especially when you're a small business owner. But what is utterly unprofessional is not reaching out first and apologizing. It's about building trust and relationships...I would expect an owner to understand that. After all, we were referred by someone who was previously very satisfied. That chain stops with us.

Mark and his folks were fantastic. They under-promised and over-delivered, meaning I was told my chair wouldn't be ready until Friday, but it was finished on Wednesady (after a Monday pickp-p!). I couldn't be happier and my 88 year old father, who sits in this chair every day, is thrilled with the end result. Thanks Mark!

Ther were fantastic! They knew the fabric that would be perfect just from the phone conversation . They covered our sofa and 5 pillows which exceeded our expectations. They were even ahead of schedule and the price was more than fair. We are more than satisfied.

We had our two ugly red and gold couches re upholstered by Mark. I can't say enough great things about him and his craftsmanship. We told him the deadline in which they had to be done he met that and did a beautiful job on recovering them. I love the fabric I picked and how absolutely fabulous the two couches look. He went above and beyond my expectations. Showed them to my neighbor and she is now going to have him recover two chairs. I would not hesitate for a minute to recommend him. Thank you again Mark

It has taken me years to get over the pit in my stomach i feel when I drive by SHannons - really, I am still not over it ( or I wouldn't be writing this). Six years ago I spent over 2500.00 to get my irregular-shaped sofa covered ( while in the midst of planning a wedding). The job took about two weeks longer than expected, but that wasn't such a big deal as the work itself. They had not been able to stuff the main cushion in one piece so there are lumps on the ends which I still keep covered. I asked them and paid for all the small pillows to have zippers so could remove the covers and periodically clean them - they never did this and charged me for it anyhow. The seams where the small pillows were stuffed were sewn crudely as well When I asked why they did not put in zippers he said because of the fabric ( regular ultrasuede - they installed a zipper in the bottom cushion with no problem). If i hadnt been so crazy planning my wedding i would have not let them get away with this shoddy work. Don't go to Shannons - there are plenty of other good upholsterers in the area.
