i was spied on in the bathroom by staff just quietly taking a shower, they need to increase the resources, none of the q- spot members or residents of the housing programs ever stole from me.

We were there last Tuesday at 7pm for the NA meeting. The Receptionist was very cold and rude. It seems as if the NA meeting irritates her. She was quite friendly to other people not there for the meeting, but we both didn't feel welcomed. The feeling of this "center" is cold and unwelcoming. It's nothing like the loving feeling of the old location. Too bad.

Front desk person was extremely rude both times I've gone, didn't answer when I asked if she needed my dead name or preffered one, and said we weren't in the system when we've gone through the process of being out in it before. As well as sounding upset when I was confused as to why that was. Overall awful experience both times.

If you like rude attendants, derelictions of responsibility, lack of structure, and unanswered inquiries, the Sacramento LGBT Community Center is the place to be. Genuinely, I would accuse them of astroturfing trans-related needs and care, if it didn't open me up to legal trouble. I would rather have the stress of investing my own professional time in developing a rival LGBT+ center that actually has a Director on staff. Never before have I so strongly considered applying for Asylum in Canada, and the likelihood that these failures are deliberate, really doesn't sit well in my heart. I'm so sorry to the people who rely on them. We deserve better. We, as a community, pay for better.

Inconsistent or negligent management that traumatizes youths in the TLP shelter with severe lack of compassion or critical understanding in decision making. Caters to and enables the white LGBT community. Staff perpetuate racism, ableism, bigotry and anti Black/Anti Indigenous values despite the activist facade. I have made multiple attempts to callout these issues, all of which have gone unresolved. In my opinion, not a safe place or shelter for marginalized BIQTPOC that are trying to survive homelessness.
