Maybe its me but they dont update their website. I went over there today and i couldn't go down the street because of road construction. Would have been nice to know since i had to drive from North Sac.

Depending on the manager you get, you can either have a wonderful experience or a terrible one. Some of them are extremely personable and actually adhere to the bike kitchen philosophy of keeping the costs low for people, others see any thing as a potential money grab. There is no reason why a mismatched old road bike converted to a fixed gear with a ton of mismatched parts should be 300 dollars. You can buy a brand new fixed gear with warranty for close to this. The whole point of this place is to help those less fortunate by getting them on to bikes, not trying to rake potential buyers over the coals. Just because something is rare or expensive when it was new does not mean you should be asking close to current msrp for things. You get them donated and have literal volunteers doing the work so it is all profit. Not to mention the attitudes of some of the managers. I've seen them be so gruff with others. If you don't want to deal with people then don't volunteer.

It's been two years since my last update. We decided to try them again. I'm happy to say the food quality and service were back to what we were used to! Excellent lunch today :)

I showed up at Sunday 1 pm closing time without knowing and was very rudely told that the door was coming down and that I had to go…..I think someone’s testicles were bound in their lingerie….Be very careful entering the premises……

Absolutely wonderful community resource– cannot say enough good about the space and volunteers. Helped my fix my bike up good as new after a bunch of parts were stolen off it.Just a note, they are cash only so remember to bring some!

I cannot recommend them highly enough!!! Kind, helpful and informative! They made a mechanically challenged senior female believe she could actually do something! I'm definitely going there with my bicycle needs in the future. And a new bike if ever necessary.

This is a favorite stop for us on 2nd Saturday. Beer, bands, and free food what's not to love? The beer is only $5, and the bands always sound good. A wide variety of people are usually here, people watching is great. The warm nights in Sacramento make this a great place to linger.

This place fucking sucks. My bike got stolen and I called the owner for help and he denied to even look inventory. Then proceeded to tell me even if they did have my bike they most likely sold it. The experience was incredibly sketchy and he implied that he doesn't even care if he sold my bike. If this is any indication how the business is run I can bet that they get stolen bikes a lot and sell them regardless. Trash customer service and I feel bad for others who are looking for their stolen bike. There's a reason the prices are so "affordable" people.

I'm a retired certified Auto mechanic and I have donated a lot of tools and stuff that I don't use anymore and I have gotten the parts to make 4 great bikes over the past 15 years yes they need to pay the rent but after that it's all about bikes

I love this place I recently donated a new never ridden bicycle because they give them to underprivileged children which is wonderful but I wanted purchase a few parts to repair others which I build and give to homeless people who need them but one person who works there wanted to charge me 30 dollars for few parts that were not worth 5 never had been charged that much for anything before and after I donated a100$ new bike I was seriously disappointed with this individual but they are still a very awesome non-profit organization

A great place to service your bike if you need the space, tools, and possibly some guidance. Friendly volunteers and you can pick up a used bike here too.
