The lady had a very bad attitude and was obviously racist, not recommended here if you have banking

We have had our business account with River City Bank for 21 years and have banked at several of their locations, however we have not been happy with them for some time now. First their customer service is lacking in the fact that you can only access someone during regular business banking hours, so if you have an issue logging in online you will not be able to access your account until the branch opens again. Pretty frustrating when it is a Saturday afternoon and you have to wait until Monday morning. I got locked out of my account for an incorrect password and there was no one to reset it. I understand wanting to provide extra security, but in that case give the customer a way to get back in to their account .. either by way of telephone support or texting a code to reset password .. seriously, I would welcome them to catch up with (almost) 2020!!! Additionally, their fees are ridiculous and they are totally inflexible about them. For example, you can only deposit up to $999.99 into your account with no fee. I recently did a deposit for $1,000.00 and they charged me $1.20. It wasn't the amount, it was the principal so I asked them to waive the fee in the branch since I was only over by a penny and the manager was unwilling, so I called customer service and the representative said she couldn't do it, so she had someone from corporate call me and she was also unwilling. I asked her if they were willing to lose a long time business client over $1.20 and she said their bank isn't for everyone. I told her that is exactly the don't care about the customer attitude I have been unhappy about .. thanks for proving my point! We will be closing our account and moving to a more customer service oriented bank asap. Oh, and that bank allows you deposit up to $10,000.00 with no fees and an 800 customer support line that actually provides the customer with support outside of business hours .. much more customer service focused. Bye Bye, River City Bank .. won't miss ya.

What a terrible, terrible experience I've had with River City Bank! After being a customer for 9 years without any problems, they essentially cut me off. There was some fraud on my atm card and I ordered a new one back in January. (this was like fradulent occurence #3 in 9 years) A couple of weeks go by... and no response. Upon calling in one of the managers tells me they won't allow me to have another card. A) Well, you could've told me that instead of leaving me here to wonder where my new card was. B) How am I supposed to do anything without a debit/credit card? She actually tells me to go to another bank or just use checks. This seemed pretty rude to me. What was worse is that she wouldn't give me an answer why they wouldn't allow me to get another card, even though I asked her in about 15 different ways. Because of this unpleasant encounter, I told her to cancel the account and I would follow her recommendation to find another bank. I thought this was resolved. _______ Surprise! It wasn't resolved because they didn't cancel the account like I requested. Apparently my account was active for about 7 months and there was an old automatic withdrawal going to another bank for an old car loan that was paid off long ago. The NSF fees started to add up, but it took them 7 months to tell me this. *Remember, this wasn't mentioned to me in January at all. They said they would cancel the account. I wasn't too upset about it though, as mistakes happen so I paid the fees and some balance leftover from a line of credit. I asked AGAIN to have my account cancelled, and again was told it would be. That was 2 months ago... Just got another notice in the mail that I owe $39 because they still haven't cancelled the account. Not sure what it takes to get an account cancelled... Maybe a psychic will know how many requests it takes to get your account cancelled. *Summary: DO NOT USE RIVER CITY BANK, THE BRANCH SERVICE IS GREAT BUT CORPORATE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.*

We had a $40,000 swimming pool loan from this bank. When our laptop was broken I called and asked for paper copies of our monthly bill to be sent monthly to our house. River City Bank refused to send a paper copy. The two associates in the loan department I talk to were very unfriendly. Be aware that if you like to have a paper copy of your bills, they probably won't send you one. I'm not sure if this is it legal or not but it sure is perplexing. On another note, when we were paying off this pool loan River City Bank sent the incorrect payoff amount to our mortgage company. We had to start the entire mortgage process over which cost several weeks and $1,800 in additional fees. I do not recommend doing business with this bank.

River City Bank is giving me nothing but trouble in trying to pay off my mortgage. I know they hate to lose my loan, however, I am refinancing my first and second into one loan to get a better rate and lower my monthly payment. You all can understand wanting to do that. River City is using all kinds of delay tactics in sending documentation to the loan company that I'm working with. Any little, tiny excuse they've used to delay has been so petty that I advise anyone thinking of taking out a loan or banking at River City think twice and then think again

We were in town for the state fair. We took many local checks, some with River City Banks name on them. I get that a small bank will have it issues, and river city was no different, but the folks here were down right kind and i would give them even 5 starrs if they did not put a 9 day hold on checks which were written by their customers? But the free gourmet coffee? c'mom, that alone is worth 4 stars

I have been a very good customer of River City Bank for over 20 years, but when they changed their Internet system I couldn't see my account and someone hacked me. Instead of helping me, River City Bank closed my accounts! Steve, the President was equally unhelpful. My balances have always been 5 figures, I was a strong customer the whole 20 plus years! Do not expect any loyalty or help from this bank.

Used to be a great bank with great personal service. It is acting more and more like the big banks with more fees, requirements and personnel changeover.

They have free popcorns on Friday LOL thats it for me. Great customer service by Ramona, she gave me her full attention answering a bunch of banking jargon... but again thats only secondary to the popcorn
